been done with GH since it went to neverputsoutagoodgame.
good to see others coming around. crash and burn activision, CRASH AND BURN.
In this one instance, the Wii has an advantage in Vicarious Visions. Even if you count my Wii prejudice, you'll have to admit that the GH franchise pushed the interface, the ability to load and run off mass storage, the use of Mii(s) for jamming, the integration of the DS in Roadie Battle, and some other neat innovations that weren't in the other versions. This despite the Wii being "underpowered." FWIW, I play Rock Band on my PS3 and am looking forward to RB3 on that system.

Thor has to have the whimpiest looking hammer. Really, he might as well just have a regular hammer. Looks more menacing.
Give him a big ass sledgehammer.
Just an aside. In the myths, as I remember, Thor's hammer was short because Loki interfered with the creation. so Loki is a haft blocker? Apparently when he is dressed as a fly Or I missed the joke which is more likely... yeppers.

Lots of good deaths there. Many I agree with, but I think this one is missing : I was also surprised with Kumar's death on House. I understand the reason, but it was a quick and graphic exit.

We took a look at the Samsung a few weeks ago. I thought the effects were very good (Monsters vs. Aliens.) Aside from the premium cost though, I wouldn't consider the 3D until there was more content. IFAIK, there is the Monsters vs. Aliens Blu-Ray and the Panasonic Demo disc out there.
I gave up being an early adaptor when I realized I am ALWAYS wrong about with format to get (8-Track vs. Cassete; BetaMax vs. VHS; LaserDisc vs. CED; DLP vs. LCD or Plasma) Got lucky with Blu-Ray, but that's because I got a PS3 a year or so ago.

Pure conjecture on the lineup. I have not googled or know anything about internet leaked plans.
1) Cap 2) Thor 3) Black Widow 4) War Machine
Villian : Hulk under the influence of the Leader.
Why? re: War Machine - Spoiler from Iron Man 2
Minimize introductions to keep story moving. Put Wasp or Giant Man in there, too much time to take up. Natasha Romanoff has been established as a field operative and working with Fury on the Avengers Initiative.
I don't believe that is a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen Iron Man 2.
For future reference, where is the SPOILER tag?

Now available on Netflix streaming.
You know how some movies are "so bad, they're good fun"? This one isn't. I took the bullet, watched it through to the end so you don't have to. Even if you are a fan of the book and feel you need to see how it was adapted, DON'T!
I've given warning.

I wouldn't be so sure that Dent is dead. Don't forget that both Batman and Gordon wanted to hide what had happened to him from the general population. They may have stowed him anonymously away in Arkham Asylum and held a fake funeral to give people closure. The last thing they'd want is for someone to find Two-Face and start asking him those uncomfortable and dangerous questions.
Also, why couldn't Dent survive that fall when Batman got away unscathed?
Because he's the goddamn Batman. +1 +1 star

The Madonna stroking from almost every single character was getting a bit much in that episode, but otherwise it was pretty damned good.
And they thow reality away at every turn (Rachel whispers to the band that she'd like to do one particular Madonna song that she just thought of and the band knows it, and she remembers every word and the kids know where to harmonize and can even pull off some spontaneous choreographed moves). However, they do it so willfully and in a manner that's self-aware, and so it works.
High Schools most talented and convenient Jazz Emsemble EVAH. The all knowing muscians never get the kudos. Also it was great that they happen to be rehearsing in the music store in "Hell-O" Not enjoying these last two as much as the first 13, but still watching.

This will be your best chance to pass the bar, coming straight out of law school. You can always decide not to use the credential once you have it.
Also, my wife is in law school now, having been laid off of a telecomunications programming job and not able to find another since 2008.

I hate you because I had that one, and now it's driving me crazy.
Santa fell off the roof and killed the kid's father -flattened him. He waited until the next year and cornered Santa. "Holy Christmas! I didn't think anyone saw me." "I saw you old fart."
"It's amazing how realistic they make toys nowadays. And to you a good night" RRRAAAATTTAAAATTAAATT (Santa shooting at the kid) (Kid kills Santa with a poker) "I did it, Mom, I killed Santa."
Skip to one year later - Spring. The kid comes home from the mental hospital. Mom hears something at the door and goes to check. Final panel- Mom squished under a colored patterned egg. "THE BUNNY!"
Now I have to go find it - pretty sure it was DC or Epic.

Some people in this thread need to learn that Admiral does not equal Captain, and vice-versa. Kirk was an admiral at one time, guess he doesn't count either right? In fact wasn't he an admiral in 'everyone's' fav movie with him? I think anyone who captains a ship can count here, not just the rank. smart-ass come to think of it, I think that Picard may be the only Star Trek captain that they never mention becoming more than captain. Admiral Kirk, Admiral Janeway, Admiral Archer, whatever Sisko... unless it was mentioned in All Good Things. Ambassador to Vulcan?

Tim Drake was replaced as Robin by Damian Wayne (slightly illegitimate son of Talia al Ghul (daughter of Ras al Ghul) and Bruce Wayne) when Dick Grayson became Batman.
I have to ask - How does one have a "slightly" illegitimate son? That's funny...I was wondering the same thing. Were they engaged? he's a test tube kid, I'm not sure how exactly they got Bruce Wayne's genetic material for him though. Has all this been ret-conned? The last I rememember about Damian is that Talia and Bruce were married in Ras' kingdom, and Bruce didn't know that he had a kid for a long time (Mike Barr - stories -Son of the Demon maybe?) The test tube issue came up with Terry McGinnis -Batman Beyond as part of one of the last arcs for Justice League in the Timm-Diniverse. Like I said, I can't keep up with all the ret-cons every 6 months or so. I still need to play AA1 -just to stay on topic

Well, at least we know that a Wonder Woman costume can work with the right body underneath it.
Now, do we think that the Red/Blue costume will make it off a drawing into the show? the trenchcoat mafia look is really getting on my nerves.

Dragging this up since I just watched it...
It was alright as a stand-alone story, but I can't fit it into the Smallville Universe. So the Icicle can take out all these badass capes? He's going to take out Jay Garrick and Alan Scott with DNA encoded frozen water? Oooooh Kaaaaaayyy.
I thought that "powers" came from being meteor freaks? How did these guys come about?

There's only one kind of challenge that works for Superman and that is one of morality. He's the ultimate boy scout and to make it interesting he has to be in a position where he has to bend the rules to get the job done.
The other option is to do a movie of the death of superman, but I don't think you could do it justice, or even come close, in 2 hours.
I've also always liked the idea of exploring the fact that while he's extremely powerful, he's not omniscient and can't be everywhere - how do you keep from falling into the temptation to constantly be on watch, never giving yourself any chance to live a life...and if you do live that life, what guilt do you experience from taking time for yourself instead of using your powers to save the people that are surely dying while you're doing your day job? I agree with these two points. I don't think going cosmic scale would be as interesting. It alienates the character. We want to connect with Superman, to feel like if we had those powers, we'd do the same thing. One of the best, most logical changes that Byrne brought to his Supes reboot was to have him think of himself as Clark. He's Clark Kent and becomes Superman. The idea for that shift (and away from him saying dumb things that no one would say like, "Great Krypton!") came directly from the first movie. In it, Superman doesn't even appear until a full hour into the thing! We get all kinds of time letting him be human first, and it's fascinating and moving. Now, I don't think we need to spend another hour getting through the origin. Everyone knows the origin. But take the lesson that Supes needs to be human first. Yes, give him something of equal power to punch, but give him some moral dilemma choices, too (and not something that can be fixed by flying the damned planet backwards). Luthor is good for that. Braniac gives you both a manipulative villain and one Supes can beat the shit out of. IF you're going to bring Zod and Co. back, make them really awful and push Superman to the brink, making him make the horrible choice he had to in the comics. On a side note: Personally, I think the Doomsday bit was nothing but a gimmick. I thought he was a throwaway villian and having him kill Superman was akin to him being brought down by a tornado or other force of nature (that would have been more interesting, IMO). There are plenty of villains that could kill Supes who would have been better, more interesting choices. They've already made a movie of that storyline, though, and it's supposed to be pretty good. I haven't seen it yet, though. Anyway, those are my opinions. I think the morality issue is a great one for Superman and they even set that up in Superman Returns. I didn't really like that movie, but the most interesting part for the character (for me) was when (SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, BUT IF YOU HAVEN'T YOU DON'T CARE BY NOW) There have been several good stories in the comics on that issue, and I even think it could be a launch point for a Bruce Wayne/Lex Luthor team up to knock Superman down a few pegs. So, drop the kid, deal with being gone for 5 years, and set up Superman to learn a lesson about his limits and his connection to humanity. To paraphrase "Kingdom Come", have Superman learn that Man is more important than Super.

Secret of Vulcan Fury
This +1 Video 1Video 2This game's graphics would look good even today but back in 1998 they were f'n amazing. Well would have been. Greatest shame ever. I was so wanting this. Still do. You know, if the story is good (and I think it is) and the voices are recorded (and I think over 90% are) I wish they would release this as a CGI short movie at least... jsut to hear DeForest Kelly's last performance as Bones. I know that much of that was re-recorded, but it would still be good to hear.
