to add a fully functional and in depth space combat sim into the game at this point would probably delay the release by a year at least.  I'm sure that EA would have no part of that.  These mmos are outrageously costly to develpoe and time delayed is time that they lose in subscriptions.  Hopefully they wl expand space combat in the future but as for now I'm sure the attitude is lets get this thing going.

There have been many movies I've felt physically ill that I spent $8 on at the theater, but the one that stands out in my memory (and what I compare all bad theatrical movies to) is Toys with Robin Williams.

I can't remember anything about it other than the fact that I walked out of the theater literally stunned and feeling like I wanted to cry to get my money back.

Toys was definitely a bit weird but I kinda liked it myself.  I certainly wouldnt pick it as the worst movie ever.

I leveled a death knight in blood spec.  They are damn near impossible to get killed.  At level 77 I took on an 80 elite boss and finished him off with over 90 % of my health left.  Yeah DK's are a bit over powered, though I hear they are gonna get hit with a nerf bat in Cataclysm   ( some people in beta are saying that its not a nerf bat, its a nerf tree )

If you tie your account to an authenticator, what happens when you lose that authenticator? How hard is it to get Blizzard support to disable the authenticator from your account and let you access it using static password?

AFAIK, at that point you have to prove that you still own the accounts and then it can be removed. But I really don't know to be sure.

A new favorite trick for hackers is to grab your account and quickly tie it to an authenticator.  This prevents the owner from having the chance to log in and contact Blizzard in game.  As we know, its damn near impossible to get a rep on the phone so it gives the hacker a few days before Blizzard is even aware that the account has been hacked.  Anyway, this happened to my account and once I actually talked to a Blizz rep I had to jump thru hoops and circles to get the authenticator removed, because the hacker also changed a lot of the info that account was set up with.

ravenvii, by tonight do you mean the current night? The one after rickfc was lynched?

Actually I am not sure. But basically Soulchilde PMed a couple times asking for my scan, and when I got on I replied with isgrimnur, then came to the thread and saw that the day has already came so I assumed I missed the night's scan. However when it turned night, Soulchilde went ahead and sent me the result of a isgrimnur scan, which I posted here.

Hate to be the rabble rouser but I have some issues with this situation.  As I understand it the nite turn phase goes  Hunter protect, ww kill, Priest scan and Seer scan.  If the priest goes unprotected and is chosen as the kill then he doesnt get his scan for the night,  am I correct on that?  Because if I am then he shouldnt have been able to scan Isgrimnur until after the wolf kill was determined and since I havent chosen who to protect, Ravenii shouldnt have this info.  On the other hand, if this is a belated scan from the previous night, one already forfeited,  that is a "bending" of the rules and I think we should have been informed that it was being allowed.  Because without Soulchildes verification, I have become very suspicious of Ravenii.  If he is a wolf and had knowledge that Isgrimnur was the priest, then telling us Is was a normal serves to protect his cover and we have absolutely no way to prove otherwise, without scanning Ravenii.   So we either have a situation where ravenii claims to have information he shouldnt or the rules were bent without us being informed.  Either way I feel we have been boxed in to having to use our scan on Ravenii.

Being new at this I apologise if any of my assumptions regarding turn order is incorrect and if it is please let me know, still until I know otherwise I have to assume the rules were not bent for the previous days scan and that leads e to believe that Ravenii is a wolf in priests clothing.      Help me out here villagers!

Just to throw out my opinion,  3-d may not be used properly in all the movies its been used it but I believe its here to stay.  While Avatar did have some great 3'd shots what made it work so well was that for the most part the 3-d added the immersion of depth to the movie, not in the DUCK! a spear is coming at your face!!!! kind of way but in a lot of the little things like ash, rain or falling leaves.  In Avatar 3-d wasnt meant to shock or suprise you, it was meant to enhance.  Hopefully others will follow suit.  Either way, it seems to be drawing in the dollars, and as long as it does that, it is definitely here to stay, like it or not.

4. ravenvii - Priest (?)
So far, everything ravenvii has said has led me to believe that he is the Priest. However, I'm a little nervous on how he got his information about Isgrimnur. On the nightfall when Einsteinium was killed, ravenvii missed his scan. Yet, the next night (tonight), the one following rickfc's hanging, ravenvii is claiming he scanned Isgrimnur and that Isgrimnur is an innocent villager. I'm not sure where his scan came in. According to Soul's turn order, the Priest's scan is the last order in the list (after the Hunter protect, WW kill, and Seer scan). So, I'm missing where ravenvii got his Priest scan of Isgrimnur. Did he just let slip info he would have gotten as a wolf?
I'm inclined to believe that ravenvii is innocent, but his last post has me a bit baffled. I'll reserve judgement until he clarifies it for me. If I'm not alive when he offers his explanation, look at it closely.

And this is the slip up I was referring to.  I found this very suspicious, especially after the convenient "missed" scan.  This definitely set off alarms for me.  As Qantaga stated if I dont make it through the nite look very carefully at our "priest", he just may be feeding on his flock
2136  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [WW]GTville 3 - Evil never dies!!! - YEAH! WE GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!! on: August 05, 2010, 09:05:19 PM
so by my reckoning heres the current situation.

  Still living                                                                                           Dead and gone

Jaydee                                                                                        rickfc - dead and skinned
Einsteinium - dead - leg is now a new putter
Isgrimnur - dead - head made into a chalice
                                                                                                 Newcastle - lynched innocent villager

If all roles are correct with Qantaga, Ravenii and I covering the roles then we have a wolf hiding amongst the remaining villagers.  So that leaves us with 6 suspects to figure out.  Of course that number will drop by one this evening and Qantaga knows the identity of another innocent.  He should also know the identity of another person tonite provided he survives the evening.  If things play out properly we should have it narrowed down to 1 of 3 people.

I will say this, I believe our hidden enemy has made an error and accidently revealed himself.  I will investigate my suspicions further and inform my fellow villagers of my findings before I make my choice of who to protect.   Oh one more thought,  someone mentioned I could reveal who I chose to protect last night,  unless Im missing something, I think its in our best interests to keep that info from the remaining wolf.  Dont see any reason to make his meal choice any easier now that the specials are all in the open.    And to Rickfc and his soon to be dead pack mate,  thanks for the gift of the new putter!  I know just whose balls I plan to use it on  smile   Im thinking  Einsteinium would approve of that, a post mortum chance to kick you in the ball

wow a guy spends the day at work and we bag a wolf while Im gone....  awesome!  I will hold off my protect Qan,  probably until later this evening.

Just a random though for the narrator,  I think 12 noon is a bad time for turn change  ( yes I understand todays event have noting to do with the time limit )  but with people sleeping and then going to work theres a large time slot before our turn change where many people may be incommunicado as it were,  I was thinking a 6 pm thing might be better.  NOt complaining, youre doing a great job,  just an observation I thought Id bring up for the future.

Ok todays events were exciting.  Since a wolf is officially down things have taken a interesting turn.  I need to read thru the thread and then Ill be back

my apologies for my absence, a 12 hour day at work will do that to you frown   Anyway Im still here and much suprised at the turn of events.   I need a clarification of some rules and upon getting that I will lay out my suspicions.  Take heart fellow villagers, the lycan are on the verge of being cornered and good will prevail this time.

Well now I know why the lycan have run this village for ages past.  I guess mob rule is in effect.  You have forced my hand and since Im dead either way, I may as well let you know.  You may kill the new guy but in doing so you shall also kill the hunter.  Yes I am the hunter.  If I survive the lynching I can have a chance to protect someone from the lycans grasp, maybe even myself but if you lynch me that is lost... and possibly the village as well. If you kill me mark well hows things transpired, for if I have to give my life I want it to have purpose.  The future survival is in your hands,  choose wisely.

I'm not sure what to think. (I don't have a dartboard like Bulletpig) says Isgrimnur killed himself, but I'm guessing that might not be correct. smile
On GT, we reserve that act for our noble mayor PeteRock. (sorry Pete, we almost pulled it out for you after your "accident"). smile
We seem to be spread to the four winds at the moment, with no clear lycan candidates emerging.
For now, I'll go with  rshetts2,  just because he seems a little "wolfish" in his appetite for lynching, but I am clueless and still very open minded. I'm hoping the old adage "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile" will apply and we'll finally at least stumble onto a wolf.

Well Qantaga, if you read through the posts I didnt choose a candidate for lynching until some wolf like individuals chose to make me an innocent victim.  If you choose to join in this path you will be aiding the lycans and hurting our chances at saving our fair hamlet.  I hesitated to defend myself earlier because it seems people look at self defense as an admission of guilt but I feel in order to forstall a terrible mistake I had to.  If you really want to find the wolves,  look at who jumped at lynching me and how they we backed.

Im looking forwards to StarWars: TOR even if its a futuristic WoW clone as some fear, at least it will be something other than dwarves and elves.
I saw some stuff on Deus Ex: Human Revolution that just blew me away.  This looks to have game of the year potential.  Im looking forward to seeing if it succeeds.
Rock Band 3 looks incredible but Im scared at how much it will end up costing me once I start buying peripherals and mega dollars worth of DLC.
As far as Starcraft 2,  if the single player portion is robust, they may get me but Im not much into the online thing, especially since droves of preteen koreans will be out there somewhere, waiting to completely humiliate me.
Dragon Age 2 will be on my must buy list and included on that list is Mass Effect 3...  is that scheduled for a 2011 release or is it further down the line?

anyways those are the ones on my list, tempered by my tight gaming budget.  The forum effect will probably push a few more titles on to my list as long as RB3 doesnt completely bankrupt me  disgust
