Eurogamer has an interview with the Bioware chiefs, including SWTOR:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-05-bioware-doctors-talk-ea-louse-mass-effect-3-swtor-interview
They address the "EA Louse" brouhaha a bit, pretty much painting a rosy picture of wonderfulness.

They do indicate they are no longer talking about a "spring 2011" release, now it's just "sometime in 2011." Which seems fine to me, given how much everyone complains about premature launches. OTOH, if the game's been in development for years and years, the longer they wait, the older it may look on release, tech wise.

Lol  they certainly did their best to dance around every question of substance thats for sure.   I got a chuckle out of how many times the interviewer tried to get them to some way confirm the legitimacy of the EA Louse thing.  Those guys have one helluva dodge stat thats for sure.

There are selfish cheaters too, but they tend not to regret their acts. But it's not always weakness that pulls people into bed with others - sometimes misery does it too. When you're drowning, you don't always think about what you grab onto to haul yourself out.

This was one of the most beautifully, painfully written and poignant statements I've seen on these forums, thanks for that Purge.  Between this and Roguetad's story, I feel like I need a good cry for about an hour or so.

- - -

To some of the rest of you guys, if things are really as great as they are in your marriages and relationships that you've never considered cheating, you should really count yourselves as lucky and tell your wives/spouses how much you appreciate them every day  icon_razz  Call me a cynic, but frankly I would love to jump forward in time 5-10 years and see how many of the responses here were still exactly the same.

We seem to have moved on from "cheating on your wife" to "under certain circumstances it is okay and understandable".

If you are happy in your marriage and you cheat then you are slime.
If your marriage sucks then get out of it.
If your eyes wander...your normal. If you cheat...your not.
If you have kids in your marriage remember....they will be the victims and pawns in a divorce.

Ok, first off, something can be understandable and not be ok.  I can understand how and why my friend cheated on his wife but not once did I say it was ok. If fact I said it wasnt.  I dont think any of us who understand the circumstances that have caused people to cheat feel it is ok to do so.  My friend cheated exactly one time and was sick about it, in spite of the whole situation.  The problem for him though wasnt so much that he felt he let his wife down ( he knew that he had )but that he let himself down.  He happens to be one of the best people I know.  He made a major mistake but his ex wife was certainly responsible for pushing him in that direction.
You also state "If your marriage sucks then get out of it." and then later say "If you have kids in your marriage remember....they will be the victims and pawns in a divorce."  My friend stayed in a bad marriage for the sake of his kids and paid the price for it.  When he did finally get out of his sucky marriage, his children became as you stated, pawns and victims.  The sad truth is the kids were pawns and victims long before my friend cheated or got divorced.
The best situation for all concerned would have been for the ex wife to have moved on when she decided the relationship was through but she selfishly hung on and made everyones lives miserable.  No one in this relationship had the higher moral ground but to say my friend deserved what he got makes be wish, just a bit, that you experience what he did.  Then perhaps you can step down from your ivory tower and understand that not everybody lives in a perfect world. Relationships are not black and white and morality is subjective.

It amazes me how many people here see things so black and white.  We are dealing with human beings, flawed and emotional.  I challenge you to honestly tell me you have never compromised your morals and regretted that choice.  Cheating on your spouse is definitely a serious violation of a persons word.  Many people make that mistake, often during a momentary lapse of reason.  Does that excuse it? No it doesn't.  Does that necessarily make that person a bad person?  I dont believe it does in all cases.  Does this make the cheating spouse an unfit person?  Once again, I believe the answer is no, not in all cases.
I have a friend who's wife, over the years became a frigid shrew.  She slept in a seperate room from him, was cold as ice to him most of the time but stayed with him because  ( he believed ) that she didnt want to live alone and would rather live under those conditions then move on.  It seemed that she didnt want him around but would berate him if he wanted to do anything with his friends.  They had 2 kids and he didnt want to seperate because of them.  After about 2 years of this, he ended up cheating on her.  Condemn him if you wish but he felt he honestly tried to do his best.  After those years of a loveless relationship, he hit his moment of weakness and broke his vows.  They eventually got a divorce and he is a far happier person for it.  The kids survived, and he did everything he could legally to be a dad to them.  Of course the ex wife got the kids and painted him out to be this horrible philandering beast.  Fortunately the kids were in their teens and knew better.  Still the ex fought hard to deprive him of his visitation rights.  Did she do this because he was a bad person.  No, she did it to cause him pain.  She used the children as a weapon againt him, with no regard to how it affected the kids.  Now you tell me whos got bigger issues of morality here, the husband or the wife?

I guess it depends then on how you define "thought about it but not seriously"   I am loyal to a fault,  any one who really knows me considers me to be a honest person.
I can say unequivocally,  That I never have and never would cheat on a partner.  When Im in a committed relationship I would never do so, to me its morally reprehensible.  Still I dont consider myself guilty if my eyes wander and my thoughts stray in the area of "I wonder what it would be like"  because that is a natural reaction to attraction.  That thought may enter my mind but I know with absolute certainty that I would never act on that. Hence the not seriously part. I answered the poll that way because its the most honest answer.
I could easily have gone with the first option but I am willing to admit that I am a man with natural instincts.  I just choose to be above instinct and not act upon them but it would be untrue to say that I NEVER had those thoughts.  I dont believe in absolutes when it comes to people.

Im not married but I have always been totally loyal in a relationship.  I would never ever cheat on a partner.  That being said,  I dont believe that any man alive who hasnt cheated on a partner can with complete honesty say that the thought has never entered their minds.  Even though it wouldnt be serious and they would never act on its human nature to be attracted to others beside your partner.

Time travel will never be invented. How do I know? Because if it is invented in the future we would already know about it unless you believe that every single person who has ever time traveled to a point in time before our present either was never seen/discovered or forgotten about/concealed. Sorry to burst your bubbles, folks.

Your logic has one major flaw.  You contradict it immediately with  what you wrote after "unless you believe"  It is possible that time travellers cant be seen, perhaps they are out of phase with our time, perhaps they are seen but not recognized for what they are such as ghost sightings.  Maybe those blurry sightings are out of phase time travellers.  Maybe its possible to travel back in time but impossible to interact with the time line in any way.  Maybe when time travel is invented so are cloaking devices.  Maybe the only way to travel through time is by sending your consciousness back into someone else's body and they have no knowledge of it ( yeah they did that on Warehouse 13 )  Anyway, my point is that having no proof that something exists is not proof that it doesnt.

Well its clear that you are not in their market group.   Books are not the only thing people read.  99% of the magazines I read are in color.  You mentioned weight and battery life.  The Nook color weighs less than a pound,  Im not sure how that qualifies as heavy.  The battery life is obvioulsy going to be less that a Kindle or a Nook, after all this thing does color.  Still it has a reported 8 hour battery life. If you want a device that provides you color and black and white reading options and youre willing to deal with some of the restrictions that come with that choice then the Nook color just may be a good choice.  I will reserve my opinion on it being half assed until I have the opportunity to actually check one out and form an unbiased opinion.

Meh, why get that when you can get an iPad? If you want eInk, you might as well get a 1st gen Nook, Sony, or Kindle.

Perhaps because an Ipad is twice as expensive, for its cheapest model. The Ipad is also heavier and larger, something people may not want in whats going to be used primarily as an e-reader.
According to one site I read  ( possibly engadget )  The Nook color has a matte finish screen that significantly reduces eye strain. Ill have to check one out to see but it may provide the best of both worlds.  People can be happy with their Ipads and all but it seems to me that there just may be a niche for this product.

I do know that in Michigan anyway, if you have your pay frequency laid out in writing such as in an employee handbook, you must first amend the handbook in writing and copy everyone whos affected.  There is a standard 2 week period before the change can take effect.

grats villagers  well played.  Im not sure how much bad luck the villagers had.  Ive been in on 2 winning games and both times specials were outted early.  Thats not as bad a thing as you would think because it narrows the suspect pool right away.
Vampires have the toughest road to victory, thats for sure.  You can be one shot until you find a goth and the odds suck until you hit about the 3rd day or so.  If you can hold out though, then you have a good shot.  Unfortunately the wolves infected a goth and at that point the vamps chance where pretty much crippled.  Just bad luck for both evil factions, because when Mol was killed the village got 2 for 1.  Thats what really turned the game.
Apologies to Rickfc, when I was pegged I knew I was pretty much doomed. At this point I had pegged CeeKay as the wolf and wanted him alive to get at least one double kill night, so I decided to throw out as much confusion and distraction as I could to keep the focus on us and not on trying to find the last vamp or wolf.  I figured if I could get you a bit riled up you would help keep the focus on us.   I also figured if you got aggressive enough they may just stake you to be sure as well.  It didnt work but it was fun trying. Hopefully you didnt take it personally.  Anyways, sorry if I rattled your cage a bit too much.    Thanks Raven for running a fun game and thanks everyone who played for keepin it interesting.

I'm getting an e-reader soon but as much as I like the Kindle 3, the lack of e-pub is killing it for me.  Why block the single most available e-book format?  Greed, pure and simple.  They don't want you borrowing books, they want you buying them.  Hopefully, they will have a change of heart on this issue, otherwise I'll probably get a Nook.
