Do I move the boss's thread to console and PC gaming? So conflicted and to answer the question I'm leaning towards PS4 theres 2 questions you have to ask yourself: 1) If it was someone else, would you move it? 2) if you move it will you be blocked from every sub forum except R&P, for all eternity? As far as this topic, Ive got a great gaming PC and saw nothing with either unit that makes me want to throw my money at them, so for now its PC.

the show isnt perfect but it is a lot of fun. It meanders at times but every season there has been several great episodes. Id say its been an entertaining ride and worth watching. On a side note, a few years back they talked about doing a spin off season of Supernatural that takes place in the 1800's and involves the Winchesters and Samuel Colt and the reasons behind the making of a very special revolver. I really hope they revisit that idea because I think it would make for a great limited run series.

Im a big fan of Nolan, so yeah I hope they get him for this. As far as The Dark Knight Rises, I felt that it was pretty good. Unfortunately it had the curse of trying to live up to the level established by The Dark Knight. That was just too high of a bar for it to clear.

Second season has ended, this is the only thread I've seen. Anyone else stick with it? The ratings have been high enough to get a spin off.
I was pretty dedicated for a while, but the series lost me early in season 2. This: I think bringing magic and memories back to Storybrooke kind of killed the show for me. I just lost interest.

CBS has made some interesting moves with some of their established shows. They pulled Person of Interest from Thursdays, where it was doing great and filled the slot in with comedies. I doubt it will hurt Persons of Interest, as they moved it to Tuesdays to cap off the NCIS/ NCIS LA line up but it takes away Elementary's lead in and that may hurt the shows performance. It also looks like CBS is taking Friday seriously as a ratings night as theyve moved Hawaii 5-0 to Fridays, which is normally a death nite for most series. I figure Persons of Interest will have excellent ratings as its capping off a very strong Tuesday line up but both Elementary and Hawaii 5-0 have been kind of stranded and its going to be interesting to see how they fare.

If you want to go WAY back, this is the first album that I ever owned. I must've listened to it 20 times and could recite all the stories verbatim. Although i don't remember that, for some reason just the title made me think of this I have that, its an excellent album. Richard Burton does the narration and theres a bunch of 70's era british rock musicians contributing including Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues. Its worth checking out if youve never heard it.

1. Iron Man 3 $72,472,000 2. The Great Gatsby $51,115,000 3. Pain and Gain $5,000,000 damn, no disparity in the box office this weekend I had to look up what Pain and Gain was...a crime/comedy film starring The Rock and directed by Michael Bay?,ahem, sounds riveting Yeah last week right before Ironman 3 opened they were running a commercial touting Pain and Gain as the #1 box office movie in the country. I found that kind of amusing.

additionally, just found notice of some new CW shows: THE TOMORROW PEOPLE. Based on the original UK series, The Tomorrow People is the story of several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in TEENAGE ANGST , possessing special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together, they work to defeat the forces of evil. Robbie Amell, Luke Mitchell star.
STAR-CROSSED (previously OXYGEN). Passion, politics and TEENAGE ANGST threaten the peace and an epic romance ignites between a human girl and an alien boy when he and eight others of his kind (The Orion 9) are integrated into a suburban high school ten years after they and hundreds of others landed on Earth and were immediately consigned to an internment camp where they’ve been imprisoned ever since. Aimee Teagarden, Matt Lanter star.
REIGN. The previously unknown and untold story of Mary Queen of Scots rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. The secret history of TEENAGE ANGST at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue. Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo star.
THE HUNDRED. 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a massive spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents with TEENAGE ANGST back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Eli Goree, Bob Morley, Henry Ian Cusick star. they don't list The Originals. [edit] looks like Nikita got a renewal but for a very short final season. The creator of the show tweeted about it. Im sensing a reoccurring theme at the CW lately.

At least the surgery was a success. This poor guy has gone thru hell due to this, not the least of which is the humiliation he has faced. I cant even imagine the post surgery pain he must be enduring, having what amounts to a 132 lb tumor of muscle mass removed from his penis and testicles. Add in the fact that the was a definite risk of bleeding out during surgery and Im having a hard time finding the humor in his situation, but hey, each to their own I guess.

I'm guessing that this will be the first time that a major movieplex will look like the inside of a porn theater. Nope, that happened with Pee Wee's Big Adventure as well.

Taco Bell also discontinued the Steak/Nacho Cheese chalupa, which rocked. You can still get it but you have to order the nacho cheese sauce as an extra, that way they can charge you more for it.

These movies are so bad that they are good. The fun thing is they totally play up the over the top style to the point of absurdity. One of the best parts of Expendables 2 was the appearance of Chuck Norris. It was so insanely over the top it was hilarious. Throwing in a classic Chuck Norris joke was the icing on the cake. If you want realistic action and a finely weaved plot, then look elsewhere. If you enjoy cheesy B movie action with plot holes you can drive a tank through, this is for you.

Updates are the nature of the beast due to the constant changes in the discs themselves. There are certainly players that are faster when loading but good bluray players like that are generally more expensive so you have to weigh the inconvenience of the loading times vs the cost of the player. I myself have a Pioneer Elite bluray play. It was expensive but it is quick and it is also region free and runs pretty much any disc format available. Most people wouldnt use most of the formats available but I wanted a player that could handle high end audio formats that most standard bluray players cant decode.

Rotten Tomatoes has it at a 59% ( critics ) and 68% ( viewers ) which isnt too bad for a Sci-fi flick as even good tend to be underrated by critics. I also think that Cruises rep probably lowers the reviews a bit and expect them to come up as more people see it. Most everyone who I know who has seen it liked quite a bit.

I didnt notice the "coming up" blurbs because I DVR'd it and skipped past all of that. What I did notice is that in 2 hours they managed to rip off every sci fi cliche, ever filmed. From Star Wars to Star Trek to Mad Max etc, hell they even threw in Romeo and Juliet for kicks. I half expected an Alien to burst out of Julie Benz chest at the end, just because they hadnt hit that one yet. I hope the show gets better but then this is SyFy, so if it does improve, they will likely cancel it immediately.

If they want to kill off the forums then charging a subscription fee would be an excellent way to do so. Theres just too many free forums out there that provide what these forums provide. Sure some people would be willing but by doing so you would cripple the activity, which is quite frankly already low as it is. I really doubt that what they would get financially would be worth the potential damage it would do to forum activity. Its just my personal opinion but slapping a subscription fee on the forums would likely backfire. Also sending in a donation check is a far different animal than a monthly subscription fee. Its apple and oranges. A one shot payment through a donation drive or through a crowdfunding effort is much easier for people to accept than a constant subscription fee.

I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in the lack of responses here. Maybe that's because of the ambiguity as previously stated? Who knows, but I guess I expected more people to at least show some interest in the site's future.
I think a big part of the lack of responses is the ambiguity of the topic. I dont think that its because people are not interested ( there are a lot of views on the topic ) but how many of us actually understand the inner workings of the site or have a handle on the actual business models being used to support it? Theres probably a very small number of people who feel they can actually add something constructive to the discussion. Anyone can get on here and recommend a donation drive, a subscription based model or a crowd-sourcing effort but is that what Ron and Mike are really looking for here? Theres some very bright people hanging around these forums and while the quantity of replies may not be huge, hopefully the quality will more than make up for it. As far as me, I enjoy the site and hope its around for a long time. Ill be happy to help however I can but I lack the knowledge to offer solutions (beside the very basic ideas already mentioned) that would be of any substantial use. Im betting the lack of replies are because so many of us fall into that category.

Looks pretty cool. Theres a 4 pack discount of 25% as well so the standard pre-order which includes beta invites and steam keys and puts the individual price at $11.25 per person.
So anyone interested in a 4 pack?

Im not sold on Madds portrayal of Lecter, especially with how they are portraying Graham. Considering his bordering on the supernatural empathetic abilities and Lectors considerable creepiness factor, I dont know how Graham could spend more than 5 minutes with Lector without major alarms going off. It is a good show if you can separate the characters from who they are in the books, because they are different. Its worth watching but requires that you somewhat disconnect from the source material. The problem is that the writers like to throw you little bits of the origional Lector, in a nudge, nudge, wink, wink fashion, which tends to make that disconnect tougher to do. Ill continue to watch but I really hope they tone down the creep factor oozing from Lecter a bit, the more they push that, the less believable and sustainable the plotline becomes.

I'm not griping that they wiped out that debt, I'm upset that nobody in this entire damned process told me "Hey, that's gonna count as misc income - might want to put away a little to cover for that" or anything of that sort. I had NO IDEA they were going to hit me with 40,000 of additional taxable income so I was caught unaware and unprepared. I pay my taxes like everyone else, and I understand only a fraction of the 800+ new tax laws each year like everyone else. I'm not crazy about the use of the phrase "handout" though - my wife was injured so catastrophically that she can no longer pursue her dream. Her ability to do normal things any other 34 year old person could do are gone. It's not like we are welfare people cranking out kids to raise the dollar amount on our monthly check. "Handout" makes it seems like we are trying to work the system or like we are some sort of freeloaders. The 13k I had saved over the course of a year was on hand for the surgery my wife just had - a full hysterectomy and oophrectomy. I still have NO idea what the eventual costs of that might be, insurance or otherwise. Anyone who's spent 3 days in the hospital knows that they like to bill you for every thread in the sheets individually. In the end, that money will go back to the government for this "handout", leaving me to try to scrounge to pay for the mystery bills that'll come in over the course of whenever the hell the doctors decide to bill me. (I got a bill 2 years later for her last surgery)
Putting it another way - if I don't find a way to pay this bill in full, you won't have a place to post a reply.
My apologies then. Someone should have informed you of the tax burden you were incurring and getting surprised with it was likely no fun at all. I didnt at first understand that your frustration was more about the surprise of the tax debt and due to some personal experiences it rubbed me the wrong way. I also understand the frustration with the health system side of things, I went through a serious situation that required hospitalization and surgery. The final total was over $280,000 for my situation. It put me in a financial hole that took me years to recover from. I requested and received itemized billings and saw insane charges like $15 a pop for tylenol. It is indeed quite the racket. On the other hand I would not be alive today if it wasnt for the excellent surgeon I had so, while paying back my portion of the medical bill was a huge financial burden, on the plus side I was alive to do so. Incurring medical bills like this is really not optional and they can certainly put you into a financial tailspin. Im glad you got assistance with your medical debt, I didnt with mine and it made my financial world a mess for a long time. I refused to take the "out" of bankruptcy and eventually cleared the debt up on my own. My personal experience colored my perspective and made your comment seem whiny to me. Hopefully, everything works out for the best for you and your wife and once again you have my apologies.

An unexpected $13K vs. monthly payments is not a small deal, rshetts... it's not like the $40K was due right now. Suddenly needing to come up with $13K would suck for any of us, I imagine. Maybe not gellar.
Also, this makes me feel better about the $2K I had to send the feds yesterday.
(And glad your wife is ok.)
All Im saying is he had the choice to do this. Hes not being forced to take a 40k handout and swallow a 13k tax bill. I have 2 friends who have lost their homes due to the economic situation. They didnt get help with their debt, they just lost everything. To put it as softly as possible it irks me to hear someone gripe about getting out of $27000 of debt. As far as the loss of savings, he had options there as well. Its like someone hitting the lottery and complaining about the tax bill. I sympathized with his issues, especially concerning his wife but it doesnt sound like financially he has it all that rough, after all he had the 13k in savings to cover this, how many people can say they have that kind of liquidity? Sorry, I dont mean to rant but to me this is really looking a gift horse in the mouth. And KD, I dont really mean to rip into you. Ive just seen a lot of hardship and toughness in peoples lives and your situation seems pretty darn good compared to what Ive seen.

Glad the wife is doing better. While the tax burden may be a bit rough, you wiped out a 40k debt. Over all, you eliminated $27,000 of bad debt without an out of pocket hit and thats a bad thing? Even if you had to borrow the $13k to pay the feds off, youre way better off than you were before. I would love me some of that bad luck. Damn those 1st world problems.

While the show has turned out ok, Im really getting tired of every single young character being a cookie cutter angsty, my parents, especially dad are/is an asshole. Is there a single person in the city that has any kind of good relationship with their father? Is every mom either dead or screwed up? Its getting to the point that Arrow should just hang out at the maternity ward and when ever a child is born he should turn to the father, say "You have failed this city!" and put an arrow or two into him.
