Apparently $5.00 isn't too steep for Kyle Stallock so Namco has priced the bit flag within one customer's comfort zone. If it wasn't in the comfort zone then Mr. Stallock would have said "Hell no! Not even if my gf witheld sex!"

The point being, if consumers actually voted with their dollars instead of whining while forking over the money then Namco (and other companies) would stop this kind of practice.

I went to a Best Buy near work for lunch today and they had GHWT on demo display, including a working drum kit!   eek
So I tried it out and it feels really good. The drum pad noise is fairly muted, and what noise it does make sounds more like drum noise than the clack-clack coming from the RB drums.

The drum set didn't have a kick pedal and the demo looked like it played the bass drum for you anyway. It did feel pretty neat having to move my hand vertically to hit the cymbals. The set also feels sturdier, probably because the pads are closer together and set inside a solid frame. I think the hi-hat cymbal kept dropping hits every so often because I couldn't maintain the score multiplier during hi-hat and snare drum beats. Or maybe I just suck  Tongue.

I'm no drummer so I can't comment on the charting other than to say it felt okay for the songs I played, and this was on hard difficulty. Its not apparent to me where I can do drum fills though, and it was kind of awkward trying to kick off the overdrive by hitting both cymbals.

Huh, so the poll explicitly named "Grand Theft Auto" as the videogame of choice, making it the poster child for all video games? I wonder how the poll would have skewed if they picked, say "Mario Kart Wii" ?  Which, IMHO, would probably be more likely to be played at a sleepover, with each of the sleepies getting a controller, over GTA which I don't think supports multiplayer split-screen play.

Did Baman's morals change from BB? At the end of that movie he states "I'm not going to kill you, but I don't have to save you." Putting aside the contradiction of this statement why does he keep saving The Joker and not killing him. This guy is obviously a threat to everyone.

Read the comics. Batman's struggle to stop the Joker without breaking his "law" of not killing is a common theme that occurs over and over again. It's not inconsistent at all with the character.

But wait, how is not saving Ras Al Ghul from a train plummeting to certain death different from not saving the Joker from plummeting to certain death? In both cases on could argue that its not Batman who killed him, it was gravity, hence Batman doesn't break his "law".

I was sold. Then I saw that they've only got a production run of 350 vehicles and only selling in California. WTF?!? Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to make a limited amount of what the public wants?

I told him, 'you're the first person who's ever said that who grew up here. Most people say they like the coming of winter, the cold, and the snow.'

He says, 'theyr'e full of crap. Tell me this, have you ever heard someone say "I can't wait to retire and move someplace where I can shovel snow in the winter?"

Only if they offer the hot version of boba tea. Of all the places that sell boba tea (and I've been to ones in Hawaii and here in Virginia) why is the only one that sells hot boba tea in New York City's Chinatown?

Why can't people understand that on a cold winter's day the last thing you'd want to have is a cold boba drink? And that hot boba drinks really hit the spot?

Add a few appetizers like wontons and spring rolls, chairs and tables, and you have a good idea of what Saint's Alp Teahouse on 39th 3rd Ave in NYC is like.

How do they handle fleet combat? Can you command individual ships to move independently or do they follow the lead ship? Can you give naval squadron commands like 'line turn', where the lead ship turns then each ship goes to where the lead ship was and then turns (i.e. like 'column left march' for marching drills) or 'flank turn' where all ships turn at once to the desired heading?

Do they require ships to be in command and control? I.e. ships have to see the lead ship (and his signal flags) in order to do anything. Or are they like the Borg and they can do whatever they want whenever they want?

I'm guessing the movement is dumbed down for these, so I'll wait for a mod that simulates realistic fleet maneuvering.

Go snorkling on the quicksilver.  They take you out to the dormant volcano in the ocean (can't remember the name of it) where you see the most beautiful fish, the water is so clear, it's like looking at a fish tank.  They also take you to turtle bay, where you swim with giant turtles.  Depending on the year, they also take you out to the newest part of maui, they say the water is so clear there, and the dolphins hang out there.

Molokini Crater. Yeah we did that exact same snorkeling route - Molokini Crater then Turtle Bay. Man, you're bringing back great memories! Next trip back I definitely have to revisit Maui.

+1 for Kaanapali beach. My wife and I went to several of Maui's beaches and found it to be our favorite. Its got the best mix of beach, surf, sand, and amenities.

We didn't get to do the road to Hana because she gets carsick easily and the Hana road is a lot of twists and turns. The thing you have to remember about doing the road to Hana is that its not about getting to Hana. Hana itself is not really anything special. Its about stopping along the way to see the various waterfalls and scenic points. I think really the point of getting to Hana is so you can turn around and head back. So, if you don't think of it as SPEEDING to Hana but just taking a lazy drive and stopping along the way you should find it fun.

We also did horseback riding at the Mendes Ranch. The two hour ride took us up in the mountains and then down to the shore and back to the ranch. The local guides are funny and you will never hear Hawaiian pidgin spoken quite like the guides speak it there. I had to pause a few seconds sometimes to parse it all before translating for my wife smile.

Snorkeling is excellent too.

As for food we loved this small place near the Kaanapali beach resort. Found it! Aloha Mixed Plate. Good food for cheap. You still won't go wrong if you ask the folks at the hotel where THEY eat. That's how we found a lot of the good places on Maui.

No, this is what happens when Japan gets stupid and forgets to build INF to place into the Industries he has.  The navy issue would have been resolved otherwise.  I would have had 3 fighters and 2 bombers to remove your naval forces and still dominates the mainland.  Or I could have just removed your forces from the mainland and kept pressuring Russia.  Could have except that I am stupid.  Argggh.

S'Ok Remus. The way I see it, in A&A there is tremendous pressure on Germany and Japan to make the right moves almost all the time. Missteps by the axis can be very deadly. In this particular case the misstep was doubly deadly because now the Allies have a foothold on the Asian continent and Japan has to either build transports to re-invade Asia or start building them out of India.

Crap, I spoke too soon. The Brits just took back India.

Either way the Allies now have more breathing room.
