Make sure to get and post your Game Center ID somewhere here if you are into multiplayer gaming.
A few of us are starting to rev up on the (mostly asynchronous) gaming scene, which has been quite a nice diversion.
Words for Friends - Scrabble-lite (2 player only) Poker Pals - poker/scrabble puzzle game (2 player) Kard Combat - MTG-lite (2 player) Uniwar - TBS space game (8 player and multi-platform)
Speaking of Game Center IDs, what's yours?

"I vote for you, Cragmyre!" shouted theohall.
"And I for you!" cried Cragmyre with a flourish of his coat.
...
...
"Hey, where's soulchilde?"
"Yeah, we need the majority vote!" agreed theohall.
They looked all over the town. No sign of Soulchilde.
They even chartered a private plane and flew all over the country. That took a few days.
When they finally returned to the village empty-handed, they found Soulchilde mowing his lawn with the most innocent face you'd ever seen.
"... oh, hi guys. I vote for Cragmyre," Soulchide said nonchalantly.
theohall and Cragmyre stared at Soulchilde, panting.
Suddenly, Cragmyre ran for the gallows. He's had it. Fuck it all.
*snap*
"... werewolf for dinner?" Soulchide said, smiling. theohall continued to stare at him.

Cragmyre is a wolf. Villagers win!

"Pig for dinner!"
It is not evening. Rather, it was a shout in the morning.
As the villagers investigated, they found theohall standing over Bulletpig's body. His entire body is skeleton, white and bloodless.
The only thing left intact is his face. The werewolf has placed a plastic pig's snout over Bulletpig's nose.
"... the werewolf's a furry?" Cragmyre said awkwardly.

Bulletpig is a goner. It is now DAY - 3 villagers remain, and 2 is the majority vote. This is the last shot - the wrong person hung, and the werewolves win.

Doopri went up the gallows and played with the noose as the villagers discussed their next move.
"This is cool!" cried doopri as he played with the noose, twisting it this and that way.
As the villagers stared, doopri put the noose around his neck.
"Ooh, ooh, look at me! I'm being hanged!" doopri cried, waving his hands and making funny faces.
Suddenly, the platform gave away, and doopri's face wasn't so funny anymore.
With his hands on the lever, Soulchilde nodded with a self-satisfied face. "I've got a feeling. Just a feeling."
Unfortunately for Soulchilde, as doopri's body slowly stopped thrashing, no fur sprouted across his body.
It's just dead doopri, with a not-so-funny-but-still-funny face.

The latest Kard Combat update now allows asynchronous multiplayer through Game Center and it seems to be running pretty seamlessly. I've got 2 separate games going at the moment. Fantastic!!
I'm seriously considering buying this game just because of this feature.

The following morning...
"Yes, of course it would be Qantaga," said theohall.
"Of course," said Cragmyre.
"That means he is the wolf, and the wolf sacrificed himself then killed Qantaga to prove that he is a seer, then..." cried doopri.
The villagers stared at doopri silently, then looked back down at the blood-stained speedo on the ground. Qantaga's body cannot be found, however.

"JayDee's a wolf!" shouted Qantaga running out of his house. Everyone cringed when they saw that he was only wearing a speedo.
In an attempt to erase the horrific image out of their heads, the villagers rushed to majority vote. A hanging ought to be enough.
Ought to be enough.
The unfortunate soul turns out to be JayDee, who proved to be an easy target after Qantaga's declaration.
Up the stairs JayDee went. Qantaga was waiting triumphantly on the platform with the rope ready.
As the rope tightened around JayDee's neck, the villagers despaired. The image of Qantaga in his speedo will only be replaced by the image of Qantaga in speedos pulling the lever to drop JayDee to his doom.
And dropped to his doom, JayDee did.
"Isn't the werewolf supposed to turn when hung?" asked doopri once again.
Bulletpig nodded grimly. "Yes. We have messed up again."
The villagers turned to silently walk back to their homes to contemplate their failure today.
"WAIT GUYS! LOOK!" Qantaga shouted.
The villagers, reluctant to turn and have the image assault their eyes once again, slowly turned.
Boom. There it is. Eyes assaulted and brains melted.
Qantaga, in his speedo, jumping up and down next to the body of a dead werewolf hanging from the noose.

As the villagers looked at the swinging body of Purge, Moliere's head suddenly exploded.
There are no witnesses - everyone was looking at Purge - and no one could figure out how the hell this happened.
Fingers went up, pointing at everyone and everything (there was even a finger pointed at the ground - "it must be the grass!" declared the finger's owner, theohall, who was slightly unhinged from finding DarkEl's body).
"Whoa, it's not even night yet! One lynching is enough for one day!" declared Bulletpig from atop the gallows. There was shattered murmurings of "yeah" and "true" as the villagers slowly returned to their homes.
The next day, the villagers came out of their homes, their fingers pointing. Even the grass continued to have a finger pointed at it.

There was much finger-pointing.
There was two persons who received the most fingers, however. They are Qantaga and Purge.
Unfortunately for Purge, more and more fingers pointed at him, until the majority of the villagers are looking at him, their eyes screaming "werewolf."
On to the gallows Purge went, the villagers clamoring for blood.
Bulletpig tightened the noose around Purge's neck.
"Any last words?" asked Moliere.
"Y--" was all Purge could blurt out before Bulletpig pulled the lever with a grunt.
Down went Purge. He died with a snap.
"... werewolves are supposed to turn when they die, right?" asked Doopri, a newcomer to those types of lynchings.
"Yes," said several villagers in unison.
"Then why didn't he turn?" asked Doopri.
"Because he's not a werewolf, that's why," said a disappointed Bulletpig. Not remorseful, just disappointed.

That's 9 players!
I'll assign roles and begin the game shortly!
***
The crow flaps its wings, fighting the winds, its eyes peering through the thick fog. Soon a village reveals itself, spread out in a semicircle in a large clearing in the forest. In the center is the hangman's stage, the noose hanging from the wooden structure, ready to tighten around a criminal's neck.
Or a werewolf's, as the case turns out.
Suddenly, a claw appears from out of nowhere and snatches the crow out of the air.
***
A scream welcomes the morning in quaint GTville. The woman-like scream turned out to have originated with theohall, who discovered DarkEl's tattered body hanging from nails driven into the side of theohall's own house. There is a writing, made out of DarkEl's blood, which reads "delicious meal was delicious."
As the village assembled before the grisly sight, there was a silence.
...
Then, "WEREWOLVES!"
***
GANE HAS BEGUN. It is now DAY. 9 players remain - 5 is the majority vote.

I know you want to make it a simple game, but I always liked the ones with an Alpha wolf that can infect another player at any time. It adds an element of "has this person been infected" to the game.
Yeah, I love those complicated games, but we've not played here on GT in a long time, so I just wanted a simple warm-up game to drum up interest again.

Is this the typical Apple launch where everyone is sold out on the first day? I'm considering switching from T-mobile to Sprint.
It's a typical Apple launch where zillions were sold and records were broken. But it's not typical in that there's still plenty of stock (from what I've seen, anyway).

More case details: The iPhone 4 and 4S have identical dimensions in height, width, and depth; however, the mute switch and two volume buttons have been slightly moved to accommodate for the new dual-antenna system. Comparing the models indicates the iPhone 4S has its mute button moved approximately 3 millimeters to the right, while the two volume buttons are only about 1 millimeter to the right. The Otterbox Defender RealTree is listed as 4/4S, and I see no indication that it's specific to any particular carrier configuration. Yeah, some cases are "universal" (their holes are cut a bit bigger ). Sounds like you'll be good to go.

I just ordered an Otterbox Defender case which was an iPhone 4 design for ~$25, which is half of what they are marked for on the mfg site. I'm taking them ar their word that there are literally no case changes between the 4 and 4S.
There are no changes between the CDMA (Verizon) iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. But there are slight changes between the original (GSM) iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S (volume buttons moved a notch to accommodate the new antenna design, for one).

Seriously, go through the Apple site. Like many other things with them, it just works. They've got a better handle on AT&T's plan availability than they do themselves.
I think I will hold off. I hate pre-ordering and being charged before the item ships and being locked in. You cannot cancel... Another reason why I love Amazon. You aren't charged till your item ships Actually, in my experience, Apple doesn't charge until they ship, too.

I noticed that the 4S has the same body dimensions as the 4. Does that mean that third party cases are compatible? Or did Apple move the buttons and ports to require people to buy new overpriced cases again?
Also, whatever happened to the initiative to require phone makes to use micro USB for charging and syncing? Did Apple adopt this policy?
Yeah; they just released a microUSB adapter. Big whoop.

Just as I said. A meh upgrade. I'd be willing to bet that the 3GS is going to get worse under iOS5. If that's what I had, I'd be upgrading
That's me, and I'm switching to Windows Phone this cycle.

Perhaps they figured it's worth it to be the first to have a true 4G iPhone. With the iPhone's yearly upgrade cycle, they might've figured a year or two of a WiMAX iPhone, then a LTE iPhone along with everyone else, is worth it to have it "first."
But this is probably all hogwash. If this is all true and it actually works for Sprint, Hesse is going to need a wheelbarrow to cart his massive balls around in.
