I have not discussed this recently with TML, but I believe our original idea was to start either one week prior to or the day of the regular season. Roster update will certainly come, but I think it makes little sense to wait on the off chance that EA delays it quite a bit. If we play with inaccurate rosters for part of the season, so be it. Anyways, hopeflly TML will decide shortly.

I'm ready to go anytime guys just say the word icon_biggrin

I've played both versions of the demo.  The 360 version looks much better to me.  Plus the controls on the 360 are much more intuitive in my opinion.  I may be in the minority, but I liked the Saints Row demo better.

I'm with you will be picking up Saints row this week just cause a rental at best.

Quote from: corruptrelic on August 26, 2006, 10:01:25 PM

Wow, I knew we were getting close to breaking the DVD9 format's 9gb limitations, but this close?

Schneider offered some distinguishing stats (which he called MTV News on Tuesday to further clarify). The game, he said, currently takes up 22 Gigabytes of memory on a Blu-Ray disc, the new disc format supported by the PS3 that is one-half of a VHS-vs.-Betamax format war erupting between tech companies throughout the year. While the music and vocals in "Resistance" take up only about 1 Gigabyte of disc space, graphics, level data and programming code occupy most of the remaining 21.

"We're going to fit more on a Blu-Ray disc than you could on an HD DVD," he said, referring to the competing format, which in its most basic discs can't hold more than 15 GB. More numbers: 40-player online matches at launch; 60 levels of player progression while playing online; two-player offline co-op. Phillips promised better, deeper support than any Xbox Live launch title.

All those claims I'll believe it when I see it 40 players multi right lag city.

Connect your 360 directly to your modem, ie, bypass your router entirely.

Try playing then.  If it doesn't work, it's a problem with some combination of your modem, your 360, your ISP, and/or XBox Live.

If it works, well, the 360 hates your router.

My brother's 360 is connected to a router which serves two other computers on top of the 360.  Chromehounds will sometimes thrash and whine and cause drops from XBL, but it's not in any kind of pattern or frequency that would suggest a problem.

Sorry I took so long to respond. You nailed it. I removed the router out of the picture and all good! icon_biggrin So, I wonder if that is the same fix for you Calvin. What`s your setup like? I`ll check back sooner this time, and thx for the help guys. I thought it might be that but since the router is on the xbox360 compatible list...and it worked fine with my original xbox... saywhat. So who knows. I`m looking into updating my router too, even though the firmware updates disappeared from dlinks site...any ideas there?

What dlink router model do you have mine is the DI-604 I believe.

I just got off the phone with Michael Johnson of EA Tiburon, and he informed me that the Madden team recognizes the lack-of-fatigue issue in Madden NFL 07 for the Xbox 360, and let me know that a patch is in the offing.

We'll have more information on the details tomorrow, but at the moment, we know that the patch will be available on Xbox Live, and that creating it is the design team's highest priority.

I'll update this thread as I receive more information

Well, I have had problems with my 360 virtually from day 1 (which was about two weeks into launch)-Madden would crash, NFS:MW would crash occasionally. GRAW was a huge offender. I went through-I think-three copies of GRAW before I found one that wouldn't crash constantly. Top Spin 2 was also sometimes impossible to play because of crashes. Even demos will crash. I hate to admit it, but I am tempted to do UB's shady target idea, although I feel like I should try to find a legit way to get it fixed. I think the amount MS is charging is absurd for a product that they shipped broken.

They charge $50 for a two year warranty.  That is better than the price of the EB/Best Buy etc coverages.

Can you purchase the 50$ warranty after the fact? And who covers shipping?

As far as I know, yes you can and MS covers shipping.
I can't keep my HDD though, right Arkon? And also, how long does this usually take and where can you purchase it from? Thanks!

You keep your HDD.  The tech should explicitly tell you, you only ship back the system, no HDD no cables, no controllers.  My first system was turned around in 5 days.  That has slowed some from launch.  At launch they would ship a prepaid box overnight, now it comes 3 day service, sometimes faster.  The standard turnaround time is 10 business days now.  I would call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and ask about the warranty.  Just say you don't have the paperwork from the box but would like to purchase the coverage.

Thanks Arkon, its either that or screw some shop over-well, I know they dont actually lose a dime on it, but I still feel bad doing it.

The best thing about the Microsoft warranty is I believe they cover your accessories too oops accidently sat on my headset get a new one controller fails get a new one.

One thing that I am noticing when I play is that we need to stick together more.  There have been a couple of times that the commander has sent me, the heavy gunner, out by myself to grab coms.  Sure it is nice to try and flank enemies, but we are starting to get to that point where the AI is loaded with bigger and better guns and will rip you appart if they catch you out on your own.  It is much easier when you have two or three people together working on a hound than just one.  Here is an idea.  If we are going to split up, split up into two pairs of people, (the scout and NA usually do their own thing) like a heavy and a soldier or soldier and defender.  That way the groups can work together and still be able to stategically work with the other pair to flank or assist.  Also we need to ID what we are fighting, heavy gunners/artillary need to be delt with first along with the AI and their stupid Assult rifles.  The scout and NA are good targets but in the world or what will hurt us the most, it is going to be those two groups.  Just random thoughts.  Let me know what you think!!  Oh and I will be on around 8 CST for a couple of hours

Good idea Papasmurff kind of like having a wingman mech lol.

I love the idea of being a scout, but the reality is..I like surviving battles more.

It seems like I should be able to scout and light towers and run away from battles, but in actual combat situations, I find that I can't get away quickly enough and end up really badly damaged and then I'm limping along until I get destroyed.  I s'pose I could try smoke and see how that goes.

I'm quite happy being the scout.  Keep going with the lumbering beast and I'll be content to zip around and grab COMBAS and maybe take on their commander.

I have smoke on my scout.  I'm not really sold on its usefulness, especially against the AI.  I found the best defense is just being able to see their ordinance coming and casually step out of the way before turning tail and running.

I gotta go log on now!

I must say that Stiffler does that best job I have seen of someone acting as a Scout

Yea Stiffler does a great job with that scout of his saved our squad more than once when we were in deep doo doo by taking down the enemy base.
