4201  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Ipod 4th Generation Hardcover case for sale on: March 26, 2005, 01:12:31 AM
one last bump
4202  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Ipod 4th Generation Hardcover case for sale on: March 24, 2005, 01:18:01 AM
Here's the deal,  I bought a 40 gig Ipod photo.  To protect my investment I picked up this...

However, instead of white, it's black.  I thought I had ordered the white version, but apparently I wasn't paying attention.

I paid $15.00 at thenerds.net, plus $9.99 shipping.  I can return it there, but it's going to cost me another $10 to ship it to me, and I'm going to have to wait a bit.

If this is something you're interested I'd be willing to ship it for $20 shipping included.  They typically sale for $28-35.
I haven't opened the package at all, and it's in pristine condition.

Let me know if this interests you.  The case is made of hard plastic, and you're able to fool around with the wheel with it on.

Rage, please don't respond (at least publically Tongue)

Lets leave the hatred elsewhere, (especially to those who are taking pot shots about something that happened many months ago) otherwise the thread will get locked and warnings will be issued.
4205  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Ice Age 2 Teaser Trailer on: March 20, 2005, 04:20:06 AM
man oh man the first was horrible.  I was suprised to hear there's a sequel.

And before Rage or anyone says I just don't like these types of movies, that's so far from the truth.  I like most of Pixars movies, I also loved Iron Giant and others I can't remember the names of.
4206  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Why The Incredibles was the best movie of 2004 on: March 19, 2005, 02:48:55 AM
I'm 28, single, and no kids and I certainly hope you're not saying a person with a certain age, marital status, or whether or not a person has children can't enjoy a movie because of their age.  Listen, I loved Toy story, Monter Inc, Nemo, so it's not because it's supposedly aimed towards certain demographics.  Like I said before, compared to their other work, it didn't really grab me like the others did.

Heaven forbid someone disagree with the majority Tongue  I never said I didn't like it.  Just thought it wasn't that great.
4207  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Why The Incredibles was the best movie of 2004 on: March 19, 2005, 12:57:25 AM
I finally saw The Incredibles for the first time last night.  I wasn't that impressed.  The graphics, sound and animation were as usual, AWESOME, but the story and dialogue left me with a "meh"  It's certainly no Toy Story.  It wasn't as funny, it felt too long in places, and just didn't really interest me.

Did you guys check out the short film, "Jack Attack"?  Now that was funny.

Sorry to sound so negative, it wasn't horrible, but I sat there,  wondering,  why did this movie get so much hype?

Thanks for sliders lockdown.  I tried them tonight and won 5-1.  I've been playing on Pro and to be honest, I felt hitting on pro was harder than your sliders Tongue  I'm not complaining though.  I'll try a few more games and then maybe make some adjustments.

Forget what I said.  Turns out I wasn't playing on allstar.  I did the sliders for all star, but forgot to change the difficulty Tongue  I'll try them tonight smile

you guys need to download that 620 meg video that was posted a few posts up.  It explains a lot of the game and it's features.  I swear I can't wait to play as a medic and kill people with my defibulator.

Don't you mean "...and revive my fallen teammates." ???   Tongue

LD

No, I mean kill my enemies with the defibulator.  watch the video, you'll see.

Is anyone else getting REALLY annoyed with the commentary in this game (MVP)?  It's just bloody awful.

gellar

those announcers in MVP, they do the play by play for the Giants Tongue  They are a lot better in real life

In madden 2005 you can listen to different sound modes.  you can do Play by Play, or just the PA system.  That would be cool if that's included.  I keep forgetting to look

4229  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Baseball Wars '05 on: March 05, 2005, 05:45:21 AM
I recommend this gamepad for the pc.  It works with all of EA sports games and it feels like an xbox controller

http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/p880.htm

As for whether or not on playing MLB?  I've played both versions of MVP (PC and xbox), and I also have and played MLB.  MVP is by far the superior game.  That wild pitching bug is really a huge turnoff and it affects gameplay.  MLB's animation isn't that great compared to MVP, but the graphics and immersion factor kills MVP.  I personally think MVP gives you a better experience.

Infact, I think the xbox version of MVP is the best.  PC looked prettier, but controls didn't feel right.  MVP on the xbox feels natural

one thing that dissapoints me, is that if you squad mate dies, he'll be back on the next level.  So much for contiunity.  Retarded game design.
4231  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Republic Commando anyone pick this one up? on: March 04, 2005, 04:31:52 AM
I highly recommend getting it for the PC.  There's so much action, and movement, I don't see how anyone can be comfortable with the controls and not be overwhelmed.

Great game.

I understand that, and I've always known that March is typically a slow month, but what was the excuse for the earlier repeats (granted 1 was the State of the Union).   That's what pisses me off,  they already had too many breaks.
4237  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / LOST - 03/02/05 - HOLY CRAP! on: March 03, 2005, 05:37:18 AM

It's the normal March-April hiatus that a lot of shows go through. Then there is the final push into the May sweeps finales.

It wouldn't be so bad, but they've had so many repeats and delays it's annoying and I'd assume harmful towards their ratings
