Don't you have your saves backed up with PS+?

hmmm I don't know and if I did, is it automatic?  I never knew that was a feature.  I also let my ps+ lapse...  Waiting for a sale before renewing.  I guess my next option is cheat codes

I can't find the thread, but I was wondering is there way to share save games for the PS4 version?  My 5 year old son accidentally saved over our "finished game (meaning we beat the game but haven't unlocked everything) he's very upset and doesn't understand why I can't fix it.  Instead of replaying (which I really don't want to do) I was hoping maybe someone can send me their saved game.  It's ok if it's not the exact same, he's not going to notice.  He just likes playing with the superhero characters.

Well that sucked.

All niners had to do was protect the QB and go after their secondary and instead they come out running in the first half and when they did try to throw, they get sacked.

Anyone wanted to punch Dilfer in the mouth.  Man that guy just needs to shut off.

I find it amusing that Dilfer (a very mediocre QB) trying to break down Kap's new throw and what he was doing right or wrong.  Hell with all of his analysis last night if he would have applied that to himself, he may have been good

Just in time for football season my DirecTv receiver seems to have thrown in the towel.  I've been thinking about cutting the cord (or dish in this case) recently so maybe I'll take this as a sign and a gift not to have to watch the 49'ers season.  The wife may have other ideas though.

I cut the cord last November, it's been awesome.  Built my own HTPC.  Going to a friends place to watch the 49ers game due to it being on ESPN.  But that's only 1 game this whole season I can't watch

Or Nolan. I guess I had some level of hope for Singletary for that one fully year.

I had zero hope for Harbaugh's first year (and was wrong), so that was the most recent time I had this feeling.

Ya I had hopes for Ericson, and you were right to tell me how wrong I was on that one Tongue  Nolan was an idiot.  I did have hope for singletary, but he turned on not know what to do.  Harbaugh I bought in on day one, and I still think it was a horrible move to dump him over ego.  Quickly they forget how it was.  Well, they're about to be reminded. Have you considered a projector setup?  Depending on your setup, you could position the projector somewhere unlikely to take damage from an airborne toy.  A nice fabric screen would also be less likely to take incidental damage and *much* cheaper to replace when needed.

I have a couple friends who've gone with HD projectors in recent years and they've been really happy with the results!

-Autistic Angel

I thought about it.  Two things of concern.  I have a ceiling fan right where the projector would be, and our room is really bright, even with the blinds closed.

Have your son throw something hard at it.

Joking aside, my son has a temper, and usually things start flying.  Today while working overtime, I get a call stating that he threw a toy wooden salt shaker at the tv and left a mark.  I asked my wife to turn it on and see if there's any problems.  Sure enough there's a rainbow of colors spread around. The TV lasted 10 years.  Was hoping to wait a few more years when we stopped paying for diapers and preschool to get a new one.

Money is tight so we're looking a the VIZIO M55-C2 55" 4K Ultra HD 2160p Class LED Smart HDTV.  Amazon had it for $850.  I waited too long while researching and the last one was purchased.  Walmart has it for the same price.  Luckily there's a nicer walmart near my work.  The one near my house, I'd be a fool carrying a big TV out of that store.  I'd be suprised I'd make it to my car.

From Bay Area Sports Report (

NEW DETAILS EMERGE IN ALDON SMITH CASE: According to Santa Clara PD...Aldon Smith crashed into a parked car at his condo complex & left his SUV; police then responded & he failed a sobriety test. The 49ers released Smith earlier this morning. ‪#‎ALLDONESMITH‬
ALSO: TMZ Sports is reporting Smith got into a scrap with QB Colin Kaepernick that may have been the trigger for Smith going off the rails and ending up in jail.
Multiple Niner locker room sources told TMZ Sports ... Aldon and Kaep had an altercation on the field during practice, and "players had to pull them apart." There's been a lot of Internet buzz recently that Smith's ex-girlfriend is now dating Kaepernick.
Indeed Smith and Hot 97 host Nessa broke up in recent months, and even though she and Kaep have not been photographed together ... rumors they're together have persisted. TMZ sources said "it wasn't clear if Smith and Kaep exchanged any words before the fight broke out ... or if Nessa's name ever came up". ‪#‎BROSBEFOREHOS‬

Well another year, another Aldon Smith Arrest

He's denying that he was pulled over for DUI.

I've heard a rumor that his ex-girlfriend is dating Colin Kaepernick, and he didn't like that.  He had an altercation at practice yesterday and ended up smashing up Colin's Mercedes.  Again rumor, but holy shit if that was true.

While Mafia 2 was fun, I felt like they dumbed down the city atmosphere and driving experiences.

What did you feel they dumbed down? You could actually run out of gas in Mafia 2, which was just silly. You could drive manual in Mafia 1, but the hell if I was going to do that, I just set the cars on automatic and left it there for the whole game smile Both games required you stay under the speed limit and honk to make the braindead pedestrians get out of the way. I don't think either city had much atmosphere - they both seemed pretty dead. They also modeled snow and rain in Mafia 2 - driving in the snow was particularly fun.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the radio stations in Mafia 2 were great, even if they cheated a bit with the time periods (the game ended in 1951 but they played songs that didn't come out until nearly 1960).

I felt Mafia 1's city life felt real and atmospheric.  You could tell the developers spent a lot of time to flesh out the city, it felt like Chicago with the trains above you, and the architecture.  When Mafia 1 came out it wasn't common for games to be that detailed.  In Mafia 2 I didn't get that feeling, and it felt bland.

I loved driving in Mafia 1, I know people didn't like it, and I know the race mission drove people nuts, but I didn't have any problems and driving around town felt like I was in the game.  It was very immersive.

I've finished Mafia II and it was a much more pleasant experience. It's basically the first game with much better driving and shooting, and of course graphics. They did their best to make it feel like a Scorsese gangster movie and really hit the mark at times.

I know exactly what happened to Caine now as well. I actually almost made the same mistake but got killed during the first robbery I attempted while starting to raise the money. After fighting through the mission and killing the target, there is a really quick message in the top left of the screen that says to search his office. It shows up once and never again. If you leave, all it says on the screen is to do robberies or steal cars. If you go to his office, you get pretty much the entire sum of money you need save for about $2000, which you can get by crushing 3 or 4 cars. Why they don't just give you the entire amount is beyond me. Maybe because they realized that at that point in the game there had been no reason to rob stores or steal cars and they wanted the guys who programmed that stuff to feel good.

There are still a few things about the game I hope they tweak in the third entry. There was still a lot of useless driving. For example, at the end of a lot of missions they just tell you to go home and go to sleep. They should give you the option to just warp there if you don't want to drive. Especially since there is very little to do in the town. There are no real side activities, just clothes shops, repair shops, gas stations, gun shops and the completely unexplained phone booths. I never even used a gun shop because it was easy to pick up guns as you went on missions.

They should also just get rid of the traffic stops. You can get pulled over for speeding or for hitting a police car. In the first game you could get pulled over for running a red light, but in this game you just get scolded by your passenger if you have one. There's no real point to this. If you get seen with a gun or robbing a car, I get it, but simulating driving laws in this arbitrary way is kind of silly.

Overall I had a good time with it, though. The way they referenced the first game was great as well. I hope they just work on these little nitpicks and the game should be really good.

While Mafia 2 was fun, I felt like they dumbed down the city atmosphere and driving experiences.

Not that I want to support Eco's rants, but if he would have posted something political like this here, it would have been deleted/moved to R&P. Why is ATB, who is obviously trying to troll and going against the spirit of this thread, allowed to do so?

Here's my thought...

Eco-Logic was told to not participate in R&P, well he was forced, because he couldn't behave himself.  Then he would break the rules and post them in the Off-Topic forum, where we (mods) would move them where they belong thus ending his involvement.

ATB has no restrictions, because he hasn't broken any COC's repeatedly.  Yes what he posted is considered to be offensive to some (ok most) but he's not breaking any rules.  He posted this in a thread that is geared towards being funny and sometimes having offensive pics.  Being offensive can take on many forms, whether it's offensive because it's NSFW, or a social issue, or mocking someone's religion etc...  I was offended over Moliere's repeated mocking of Christianity, while others weren't.  We didn't remove them (even though I had the power to do so).

We haven't established a R&P picture thread.  Is that what we want now?  OO does it.  I don't see a need for it.  What I see is a need to remind people that not everything you see in this thread will be agreeable or make you feel happy.  What should happen, is that if you do post something offensive, you risk your reputation with the rest of the community.

So that's why I've been slow on responding.  Should we have a separate R&P picture thread where we can make fun of democrats\republicans\Christians\Muslims\Gays\and Caitlyn?  I'm cool with whatever, but please understand that this thread has always been treated as enter at your own risk with minimal rules (like no nudity)

What bugs me is people who don't follow the disease, but may have heard about today's event and see's this misinformation of this being a cure may stop donating for this important cause.

Our fight is far from over, and just because we've reached this milestone, we're not done, and I'd hate for misinformation to halt our progress.
