I didn't get that option, it even warned me if I quit I lose progress and checkpoints.

So we picked this up for Ethan has he recovers from Tonsil Surgery.  He paid half from his remaining Xmas and Bday money.  How the heck do you save?  I know it uses checkpoints, but in the Lego Movie game there was a save station.  I have yet to see this after playing two levels.  Don't want to quit without saving.
5  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Odd Request but for a good cause on: June 25, 2016, 04:18:18 PM
So Ethan has been granted a wish for Make A Wish because of his Cystic Fibrosis. Early this year he went to the wishing place and made 5 wishes based on categories such as, who would you like to meet, where would you like to visit, who do you want to be, and there were two others that I can't recall. He doesn't know, but his wish was granted to be a Garbage Man. Yep, that's right. We don't know all the details of what the day will be like, but if you saw the news a few years back about Batkid, it's going to be something similar but in Sacramento. All I know is they will be picking Ethan up at school to ride in a garbage truck. He has his own uniform to wear and will make several stops from our city to the State Capital. My work (Cal-EPA) is involved and possibly our local AAA baseball team, the River Cats. I also heard there's a toy drive to help other kids in need. I don't know the details as everything is being kept hush hush.

So here's the odd request. I was thinking it would be cool to have videos of all the different types of garbage trucks throughout the world, and what better way to ask a wide audience than OO and GT. I was hoping you would be willing to record a short video of your local garbage man picking up your garbage and send it my way. A file is fine or even a uploaded link from youtube. I have a tool where I can download youtube videos. I'm planning on stiching up all the videos that are collected into one video, I just need yours.

When driving around we see all types of garbage trucks (colors, style, age, etc), So I thought it would be cool to show him what other trucks may look like from all over the world.  He would love it.

The video doesn't need to be long, preferably 30 seconds or less. It would also be helpful if you include your city\state\country.

His wish is on July 27th, and I was hoping to have this done by then. If you can turn them in by July 20th, that would give me the time to make the master video.

Thank you in advance.

You can send the videos with the subject of Garbage Trucks around the World to

Steam has this and the latest tomb raider game for sale (summer sale) for $51.  I'm tempted, but I keep hearing performance issues for PC.  Has it got better?  I know the story is pretty much absent, and that's fine, but how is it now?

Man, this game is flat out the best looking game I've ever seen. The graphics are incredible, and it truly is like playing a movie. The dialog is incredibly well written and believable and I can totally picture someone like Jeremy Renner or Nathan Fillion playing Drake in an actual Uncharted movie.

I loved the quiet scene at Drake's house and his conversation with Elena. There is an awesome game within a game moment there that just blew me away.

I am tired as hell this morning but I want to get right back into it tonight.

The game within a game was really great, but what made it so perfect was the seemless dialogue while playing.  Incredible.

Also, I didn't get very far.  How long can you play it?

you get 3 lives...

28  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [Team Ethan] Great Strides 2016 on: May 02, 2016, 04:26:17 PM
Good morning GTers!

This will mark our 7th year participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides event in Sacramento.  Over the 7 years of fundraising, we have raised over $35,000 to help find a cure, fund new research for new medication and therapy programs.

We couldn't have done it without you!  You have been a key component for our success over the years and out of all of the donations we receive, OO and GT are my favorites because we have never met face to face, and yet you care and are typically the most generous.  I'm very grateful for all of our donations, but  your donations have a special meaning to me just because our only connection is from a gaming forum.  It means a great deal to me and I want every one to know that we are truly thankful for your support over the years (even if you haven't donated, but passed along on good thoughts)

Our walk this year is on May 21st, with our goal of $10,000.  We're just over half way to our goal.  We could really you your help!

Ethan is 6 years old and is doing very well.  Doctors are impressed about how healthy he has been.  We haven't had a hospital stay in over 4 years.  He does have some liver damage that we have been treating (keeping his liver enzymes down).  Other than that, no major issues.  We continue to do nebulizers to help clear his lungs as well as his chest therapy where's hooked up to a machine that shakes his chest to help move the thick mucus out of his lungs.  This is all preventative therapy.

He's just about ready to finish Kindergarten and it's amazing how much he has learned over the year.  This year we have him signed up for soccer which should help his lungs.

If you would like to support our cause, you can visit this link for more info about Cystic Fibrosis with the link to the donation page at the bottom.

Here is our team video for this year.  I tried having it embedded, but I can't figure it out frown

Thanks again for all of your support over the years and into the future!

I'm happy with everything in the patch except the Incursion. That thing is terrible.

I haven't done it yet - what don't you like about it?

It's horde mode, imo, with nothing but gold enemies with a APC as the end boss.   Basically, Challenge level enemies..  It's definitely a gear gated

Gear gated with not fun tactics required to make it. You definitely can't do it without coordination, which makes PUGs difficult. But mostly its just not fun at all. Its one room, wave after wave of enemies, with nothing interesting happening.

After mission designs like the Lexington Event Center, Police Station, and Russian Consulate... this is a big let down.

I'm still playing the game a lot though.

That's pretty much the meat of the game itself.  Go to an area, kill waves and waves of enemies.

I finished the "single player" portion of the game last night.  I'll probably try some DZ a bit, but will move on shortly when Uncharted comes out in May.  I've had my fun with the game.  I wish it was more robust.  The city was awesome, but the gameplay grew tiresome by the time you hit the 20's...

Sent the request.

I have gotten some time and now am level 19, about halfway through the content according to the game.  I really like this, and like the DZ areas for the real sense of tension you feel simply walking about.  Unless you wander into a zone higher than your current level, you don't get that in the regular zones.

Great!  Word of warning, we probably shouldn't hook up after a Seattle vs 49ers game...  Unless the 49ers win Tongue

ninja2  I edited your title to include android...

The game is awesome and the best part it's fast so you can play a few hands in between things.

Some corrections...

with 1 minute left you have your mana generation doubled

Two Towers, one castle.

I tend to use low level mana units.  I'm currently at 2.6 mana.  I can rush almost the entire game and overwhelm my enemy.  I have a clan set up if anyone wants to join.  It's mainly from my work but anyone can play.

Great movie but WTH parents why are there kids like 7 years old at the movie?  Congrats to the Mom and her 4 kids all young that now know what exactly a strip club is like inside and what goes on in there.

As a joke, it took me like 5 seconds to Google up 'Why is Deadpool rated R?' and find out exactly why so thanks to IMDB.

...why can't parents do so?

Because it doesn't occur to them that they have to do that.

The kids want to see the movie.  All the parents see is a poster for Marvel and what looks like a regular superhero on it.  They've been to Marvel movies before, and it has never been a problem.  Why would they even think to check if this one is an outlier?

The studio has done what they could with the previews and such, but if the parents haven't seen that, there's not much to do.

The only time to be sure the message is getting to the parents is at the point of sale.  I feel like the onus should be on the theater to point out when they are buying or picking up the tickets that the movie is rated R.  I get it, they don't want to give a refund, but the backlash could be really bad.

Umm maybe because it has a rating that people should use as a guideline...

I never said anything about a blowout.  Xman did Tongue

I never rubbed in it either.  I joked that it would be in two weeks.  If he takes offense to a small ribbing, than he has thin skin.

Hello?

Anyone home?

Didn't think so

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Good Lord who cares?  Neither one was my team so put the chip you manufactured on your shoulder back in the bag.  I don't think anyone here was that invested in either team.

I care, that's sports. I got that chip thanks to irrational and ridiculous predictions.

I was invested and a large majority gave my team no chance.

Atleast Ken was cool enough to admit the Broncos were deserving and not continue making ridiculous claims.

I've had my peace and don't care what you think honestly.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

There was nothing ridiculous about my claims.  I wanted the Panthers to win, and that I thought the Broncos were a boring team (and they were, both were yesterday)
