That stuff is DAMN good!  The only thing is that it's not as handy as Tabasco, I have little bottles of Tabasco that I use for just about everything since they're so easy to carry around.

I really need a didgital camera so I can take a picture of my 5 gallon glass jug of Red Rooster!  It was a promo item at some food convention I went to years ago that happened to come home with me...shrug.  It's the the crown jewel of my hot sauce collection.  Not based on hotness or even taste, but on the reaction people get when coming into my kitchen and see it on top of my cabinet smile  Thas alotaa hot sauce.

You must not have been on alot of forums if you think that's ruinous.

Add me to the EQ2 hate list.  It's just awful compared to EQ1 (and WoW, o noes i ruin teh foruams!!1s!~)

You earlier in this thread:

"I'm selling my copy of EQ2. With exams and a harder college schedule coming up, I don't have time for it anymore. It's not a bad game, but it's not without its share of MMO growing pains."

A bit wishy washy?  Or were you lying about how you felt about it cause you were trying to sell your copy?

Everquest 2.  Utter shit.  If you didn't hate Everquest the first time, try EQ2!  You're bound to despise it.

Doom 3 is also god-awful, but that goes without mentioning.

Did something happen that made you change your mind so drastically about EQ2?

"I'm selling my copy of EQ2. With exams and a harder college schedule coming up, I don't have time for it anymore. It's not a bad game, but it's not without its share of MMO growing pains."

You said that in the I hate EQ2 thread.  It went from not a bad game to Utter shit?

edit:  Uh nevermind.  I see in that same post I quoted from that you were trying to sell your copy of EQ2.  You must have sold it and are free to express your true feelings about it smile

If your looking for location of soemthing and have the paremters( 259,
-345, 26) you can just move the cursor over your compas at top of screen and itll give you your exact location.  You dont have to type /loc over and over smile.

Nother targeting tip.  If you have a mob targeted and your a healer type you can cast benefical spells on the person taking damage without switching targets.  All benefical spells will cast on whomever the mob has "targeted".  Kinda a revers tip on Systrides post  smile

Only if they didnt have what ya wanted.  I was home playing Doom by 10 am.  I have one of those strip mall stores about 5 minutes from my house, got in and out in about 10 minutes.  Couldn't have paid me to go to a mall store that day  biggrin

Anybody else go crazy at EB on Friday morning like me?
I got Doom 3 for 20$
I got Call of Duty orginal and Expansion for $30 together.

And for a bonus I picked up Divine Divinty for under $5.

Alot of gaming goodness for cheap.
2690  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / real simple: How do I play Half-life 2 w/o steam??? on: November 24, 2004, 05:37:53 PM
Everything I read about EA and Orgin seems to indicate it was more over zealous spending by Orgin that did um in.  Orgin was left in control of most of their internal projects but apparantly had a  HUGE Q&A dept and had a hard time turning a profit on even succesfull titles.  Building a huge state of the art THX certified sound studio to make games prolly wasn't a smart fiscal move.  Bullfrog was in money trouble as well when they went to bed with EA.  They both needed money to stay afloat and EA was willing to give it to um.  Rember these were not hostile take overs.  EA doesnt give its aquired companys much leeway anymore and Orgins mismanagement of itself is prolly a good reason.

I'm not an EA fanboy or hater, I just wanted to inform ya about Orgins and its issues.  No worries theres plenty of other reason to hate EA smile

This would be like taking away your internet access for viewing child porn(okay hopefully you would get harsher penalties than that). Of course you can't look at GoneGold or any other sites anymore, because you misused the service. Steam was misused and they have every right to take the service away.

Ugg bad analogy Tongue.  They do take away your internet acces for viewing kiddie porn.  They take your computers too.  Most sentences for kiddie porn ban you from owning a computer for a period of time.

Corporations exist for the benefit of themselves, not for the benefit of the consumer.

When you realize this basic fact, we can continue this discussion.

I'm all for the developers. Are you including them in the "Corporations" list?  No doubtedly Vivendi is in this list but is Valve?  How about Lionhead studios?  or what about the old Bullfrog or old school Origin?  Both of them were put under by EAs dirty hands.  And what about Strategy First?  They help out quite a few independent developers.

Orgin had spent themselves into debt long before EA messed with um.  THX certified sound studio...one of the only ones in the Country back then...why did they need this?  Not to mention it wasn't like EA made a hostile takeover..somone was waiting with their hand out because they were broke.

Good idea Atta,

I also loved EQ1's velious quest.  One of the "ring" quest had you starting a war between 2 factions.  You actully got too participate in the battle between 30 or so NPCs.  While I never did this quest personally I did get to se e it in action a few times.  It was a nice break from camping the Orc camp where the Battle took place.  WE'd just pull up a chair on the ridge and watch the whole battle unfold...very immersive.

I guess this would be a Dynamic type quest and perhpas be a different catagory?

This just in:  It's not trolling to say "I hate Game X" on a generic messageboard such as this.  If jessie had posted this on EQ2Players, that'd be a pretty obvious troll attempt.  But he (or she) didn't.

Whether you agree with the OP's points or not has little to do with whether the post is trolling or not.

THAT BEING SAID, IT'S TIME FOR A SHAMELESS PLUG!

I'm selling my copy of EQ2.  With exams and a harder college schedule coming up, I don't have time for it anymore.  It's not a bad game, but it's not without its share of MMO growing pains.

I'm asking $35 shipped.  It's still got the free trial time on it til Dec. 8th.  Check the trading forums or PM me straight up.

Apologies to Jessie for being condesdening but I interperteted his first post as kinda trollish.  Complaing about things that are in the manual, not knowing where to look for quest suff when they give pretty damn good directions in almost all of the quest logs, "im playing for free but still prolly wont play",etc.  Misinterrupted by me..again my apologies.

Im sorry you cant be bothered to actully read your quest journal.  You know the place where it tells you who to talk to and what zone(even near a certain location in zone).  Then if you still cant be bothered to look for the NPC you could just ask a guard where they are and get a nice shiney waypoint marker that'll lead ya right to it.  As far as your commlands comment yes its big.  I guess they could have broken into smaller zones for you to load but you didnt seem to like those either.  I find it hard to believe you played EQ1 soo long with they're more cryptic/ harder quest. Scribes are in just about every city zone...they are listed on your map.  Read the manual about upgrading your spells...you did read the manual right?

Having a hard time finding quest NPC's?

Just ask your local guard!  Easy as that.

Right click a guard and highlight the 'find NPC' option.  Then type in the name exactly as it is ( first and last if given).  If your in the right zone and somewhat close(theres a radious limit) you will be given a waypoint to follow to it.  I'l lusually ask a guard at one ent/exit of zone, if he doesn't know one at a different one usually does, ocassionly I'll have to ask a guad i nthe middle of zone Tongue.

At least your bimbo chimp president lets us all own guns.

Expect to be sucking on the end of a rifle if your idiot boy starts fucking up this country any more.

Unless Bush really turns things around and brainwashes people in the "other direction," the only way to uproot the sheer ignorance in this country is through civil war with the intended outcome of the genocide of the Conservative Christians and the Religious Right.

Right now, violence looks like the answer.  Hopefully Bush's religious bent was all a vote collection gag, but if it's not, I have absolutely no qualms in risking my life to overthrow this government or cede from the union.

What scares me most is that the Bush administration now believes they have a license to kill in the middle east, and if you don't think Iran is next, you're not paying attention.

What this is going to mean is less security for the U.S., not more. When we invade our second middle eastern country, unprovoked, and probably again without U.N. sanctioning, you can bet all hell will break loose, not just there, but here on U.S. soil. The U.S. under Bush, to me, is my worst nightmare ... a hostile aggressor. Something I'm not sure we've ever been before. We've been a defender many times, but invading countries unprovoked is shameful. We're going to greatly intensify Arabic hatred towards us, same as our wrath would be incurred if they were to invade us.

I'm not saying these countries are full of saints, most of them are dispicable dictatorships, but I don't think it's America's place to police them, esp without UN sanction.

A sad day, indeed.

Ask Native Americans if we 've ever been hostile aggressors.  Ever since the cold war we've had a 'first strike" mentality...for right or wrong.
