I believe Mission 9 is the last mission. The menu has a "downloadable content" listing, so hopefully further missions are in the cards. I don't pretend to think it's going to sell a zillion copies on Steam, esp. given all the complaints about keyboard driving (the Steam forum is full of that), but hopefully it'll sell enough on all platforms to justify some DLC. We should try hardcore mode at some point. I probably wouldn't last long with fewer lives to spare, since I frequently go driving off cliffs to my doom. I guess I'll have to order some gamepad online. The only thing I've seen in stores is the expensive wireless MS XBox360ish controller for Windows, which seems overkill for me. I got mine at Best Buy for like $20-$25 bucks Was it this Logitech one? That's the only one that BB stores seem to stock. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Logitech+-+F310+Gamepad/1260591.p?id=1218243758834&skuId=1260591Yep, that's mine!

Hey team, my cable modem crapped out last night and I couldn't back online at all until this morning. They added some sort of 135MB patch yesterday. Not real clear what it does. I didn't have problems but the forums had some complaints of new problems since this patch. The European Steam bud I convinced to get this said he had black screens and freezing at startup. Not using his headset, and making some other adjustments lets him at least play the game now, but he says he's still having intermitten freezes. Self-observations: -Perhaps I really am gonna have to get a gamepad. In the more cramped, Pac-Man maze like maps, I just can't steer with a keyboard precisely enough -- it gets upsetting. I'm fine on the more wide open stuff. I'd liken it to trying to drive your car if the steering wheel was the size of the average donut. You'd be able to drive in tight circles spectacularly. With any semblance of precision? No. While I appreciate it recommends gamepads, I've played other overhead driving games not this touchy/clumsy on a keyboard, so I just question whether Sega even ever bothered to test it on a keyboard at all. -Using helicopters is so much more fun on the keyboard (however, it's not in "tank" mode, so it takes some adjustment if you're using that mode for vehicles) -- if there's DLC, I hope they add some more chopper-only missions. -I HATE Mission 9's map. In addition to being a cramped maze (see above), the, moving, boiling lava pot things are pretty much impossible to avoid using a keyboard (alternative is to patiently blast them all but it spills lava everywhere). It also uses tiered ramps and sometimes the map's so dark I can't even tell if something's a ramp or not. I would've followed Mirage but he and my teammates were already on the far side of the map and I couldn't figure out how to get there so I just left since there was no way for me to contribute. To my mind, if they wanna start layering ramps upon themselves and having sections that are connected but don't look that way on the map (or that look connected on the map but you can't reach them), they shoulda found a way to do a "wire frame" 3D map so you could at least visually tell from the map what you needed to do. I don't think I'm gonna do that mission again until I find a way to print a map of it, and maybe mark it up a bit in such a way I understand how to get from one section to the other. My ranting about M9 aside, I mostly quite enjoy Missions 1-8, even on replays. No problem man! I was wondering what happened to ya? I bought a wired 360 style gamepad last year for some game that I bought on Steam, I think it was Shank. It was less than $20, made by Logitech and it's actually good! I've played a couple of other games like this style that one stick moves the machine and the other stick fires the weapon. Assault Heroes and Gatling Gears are 2 of them. I hate Mission 9 as well man, but if you get a gamepad, maybe we can all get past it and see what's next, if anything?

Black, I sent you a Steam request. I agree with Gunnar, I like him the best so far. I will have to try the others as well. Anyway, I thought it was a blast on co-op, even with us bumping into each other constantly!

Some indicate they've had to restart Steam after downloading, to be able to install it.
Yep, even though I preordered it, Steam says I have it, but it won't let me install it? have you tried restarting Steam? I restarted my whole PC about 3pm. Does that count?

Since the latest update, my 360 wired controller for pc has totally effed up. Have been reading Trendys' pc forums for at least an hour and people are having all sorts of problems with the latest 7.01 patch... I normally use mouse and keyboard, but went with gamepad on this one and loved the controls. So, don't know if any of you are having any issues with the patch? Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Judging from the Steam forums, most folks have given up on the game and are demanding refunds, which I'd assume Steam can do as long as the game hasn't officially released yet (ha ha). The guy running Sega's Twitter page said he's visiting the forums and passing along feedback but he's not really in any position (i.e., he's just a grunt employee doing Twitter updates) to do or announce anything. I don't want a prematurely released game, but announcing and rescinding a release date almost weekly is pretty ridiculous. It's like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown over and over and over. If the game needs that much more optimizing, just set a release date far enough back to allow for any sort of setback, and be done with it.

That's cool man, we need to play the MP if it comes out next week?
Yeah, I'm up for trying out some co-op when this comes out. Speaking of... This game will unlock in approximately 15 hours Since nobody else has claimed the last key it is going to AA, assuming I can get Steam to start working. It seems to be having trouble connecting to the Steam servers at the moment. I saw you log on last night and then immediately disconnect... My brother might want the other copy, if you still have it?

Bah, I see Steam has now pushed the available date back to October 19th. Bummer. But I guess that gives me time to play Forza and Orcs Must Die this weekend. I saw that last night too, man... I'm pissed! I pre-ordered it the other night...., wish I saw this thread sooner, as I would've bought one of your copies. I have surgery today and the next 2-3 weeks off work to "heal". I was planning on playing it this weekend. But, I also bought Forza 4 last night and Orcs Must Die the other night. We haven't played anything together since MNC....

Hmm, I think I'll wait for the holiday sale and see if FR: Armaggeddon gets any cheaper. Too many other games to play right now (Forza 4, Orcs Must Die, Renegade Ops, Payday: The Heist, Batman next week, Battlefield 3 the week after...)
I've been wanting for Renegade Ops since Steam announced it in July.... And I pre-ordered BF3 on Amazon and totally forgot about Forza 4...

I will definitely be purchasing Fable 3 and possibly Broken Sword, just wish they both had the first ones available.
They have all 3 Broken Sword games there, the first was the Directors Cut. I've only seen Fable 1 on Games for Windows Live, and F2 never made it over. I wanted the first Broken Sword game, that was on the PS1...
