I was unimpressed with the whole idea when I first heard about the Pub Games, but then I remembered that I actually liked the game in KOTOR (pazak? something like that, I think.)
Since I know I'll be getting the game, I may as well pre-order it and get the Pub Games for free. I'll have to force myself to play them if I think they are lame, but I can't let Metallicorphan enter the game with millions of gold, and me penniless!
its okay,i will lend you some money(if you dance for me...or there maybe a time when i want you to visit my game and kill my family if they start to bug me..mwahahahahah)
is this 'cos i called you crazy for going after everything in FF12 myto?
i put the middle-ish option 'dont go nuts'
but it really depends on the game and how i am feeling at the time,i remember FF9 i pretty much did everything(which i am replaying now) FF7 i WANTED to do everything but i remember at the time that breeding Black chocobos(or was it gold)just wouldnt happen for me,so i could never collect 'Knights of the round' summon(i also didn't defeat Ruby Weapon in the desert)
last weekend i decided to go back on Bully for the 360,and low and behold i got 100% from it(it helped that i actually got a reward at the end by getting an achievement)
Fable II i think i am gonna book a week off work and try and get everything done (prolly not in that week, but the time off will help)
i just got GTA4 back of my sister to go for the 100%....but i just cant be arsed going after all those flying rats
Kingdom hearts - f**k that gummi ship, waste of time IMO..so i didnt do anything with it(rest of the game was genius though)
Oblivion-i have done pretty much everything but start again with another character(one day i will, the game was good enough for another 100 hr playthru)
Zelda-Majoras mask---i am very proud that i did everything in that game, got all masks and everything..i think i did everything in wind waker, links awakening and ocarina as well(twilight princess i was missing a heart)
Pirates of the carribean...i think i had that for the xbox1,and hated it..was it really that good?(we are talking about the one without Jack sparrow right?)
nice preview....gettin' me excited...and yup,i like Animals as well so i would be beating up on that dog bully, and then i will beat him some more...what the heck,i may even waste a few hours beating up on him
LOL,Bowerstone..thats where i am now!!!....but in the original game. Its a pretty small town in the original, not included the castle area(and it has docks as well)so it will be interesting to see how its grown if the game is set 500 years later..wonder if i can still get a haircut from that saucy lady
so,will Fable III be set another 500 years in the future?,when Bowerstone/Albion is nothing but a multistory car park and shopping mall??....and maybe you will have a pet Aibo for a companion,LOL
i think it was more of a suprise that i came to think that people like Big Boss was really a good guy,and Solid Snake from past metal gear games was fighting this guy.......solid snake i guess not knowing either, wonder if Liquid snake knew?
Still, the story was interesting in a conspiracy theory kind of way. I'm still not sure what the "turns the MGS universe on its head" thing was that ATB keeps mentioning was.
Spoiler for Hiden:
not sure about ATB,but for me it was the fact that you, the player started to see sense in why Big Boss became who he was,he has always been known as the bad guy, since Solid Snake killed him back in the days of Metal Gear on the NES...but you could see why he became that way, maybe even agreeing(as The Boss was pretty much used, but she still did her duty for her country..and her country will continue to associate her as a terrorist, when really she was a hero) with him to a certain point.....the ending for me,really sent a shiver down my spine, when EVA was reciting on the tape recorder why The Boss did what she did...all through the game(like breaking Snakes arm and throwing him over the bridge instead of outright killing him etc etc....it did turn a lot around,at least for me anyway
i think there was something in the news last year about them finding a secret part of the bible(I myself am not into religion at all)or a part of the Bible that was kept hidden, and in it it explained why Judas did what he did to Jesus,Jesus gave him this secret mission to do,Judas full well knowing that he was going to go down as the worlds most hated traitor..but it was Jesus' discission to choose Judas as he was his best Disciple...or something like....if you believe all that, and Judas excepted without delay
EDIT:oh and about the 360 price drop..here in the UK,the 60gig model has just been released(today in fact) for the same price as the 20gig was(£199.99)...no actual price drop for us(i think we had ours a few months ago)but still,a 60gig for the price of a 20gig isnt bad
yeah i got these last night, unfortunately the pre-order offer thing isnt available in my part of the world(some third world country they obviously havent heard off, even though they made the full game here,LOL)..so i had to pay the 800 points
only got to play about for an hour or so
Fortunes Tower-seems to be the one i am most addicted to..although i have adjusted my self to just banking the money as soon as i am have made profit,as otherwise i just run out of dosh
Keystone-is a bit random really,no real skill needed(apart from where to place yer bets),typical Casino style
Spinnerbox-seems to be decent, but again i can't really see any skill..apart from just pressing A(or whatever the button was)...this one will prolly be the least played
i have yet to play in a tourney, prolly get to that tonight
i think perhaps 400points would of been better pricing, although i have heard you can unlock new games, not sure if that means completely new games or what
these pub games are also in the Fable 2 games as well, obviously when you visit a pub....but i doubt there would be any refund or money off the full release
IF the Fable 2 pub games ARE on xbox live arcade i will be getting them...but Major Nelson has posted that this wednesday its Bionic Commando and nothing else......yet gamercoreblog, teamxbox and Kotaku have all said as well that this wednesday the Fable 2 pub games will be happening...i am hoping MN just forgot to post that game, unless he knows something he isnt telling.....gamerscoreblog is advertised as the official MS/360/live blog
oh well, the game is out september 19th(here in the UK anyway...prolly 16th i am guessing in N.A.)..so at least we know there is a demo, and unless its like Alone in the dark hopefully it will be released before the full games release date..so thats ..what within 5 weeks or so(hey,i am trying to make things look good after it was me who started this thread,LOL)
having 71 gig left on my HDD(and i could still make a decent amount of space deleting some demos)..i will certainly give it a go
if it indeed does make performance a little better it maybe worth it,although i saw no real problems with games like Mass Effect,i know some people may install that game, seems that everyone but me had a lot of bother with that games performance on the 360

played a ton of MGS2 today...just beat Fatman and am loving the game so far. as expected, the graphics are much improved over MGS1, and the smoothing done by the PS3 makes everything look phenomenal for a PS2 game. combine that with smoother controls and another interesting story, and it's a great follow-up so far. my only complaint so far is that the cutscenes are pretty lengthy at times, but most are done well enough that it can be forgiven. exceedingly long codec conversations are still annoying though...
as said the Gamecube version of MGS1 uses the MGS2 engine
and yup,i reckon MGS2 is the worse for lengthy cutscenes and codec chat
definetly gonna get this, loved the first(it could of looked a bit better though on the 360)..it will be interesting to play this, and also be interesting if they make a third part,as the third film wasn't everyones favourite threequel...but then again, like the firt they dont have to stick to the storyline so much

FFXIV - but with the game mechanics of FFXII - and done in the world of FFXI (yes, the same exact world, but I'd like to replay FFXI without the juvenile delinquents
charming, thats the last time i let you follow me anywhere!!!!
sequels,sequels...i would like to see a sequel to that Lucasarts game i loved ...funny as hell...can't remember what it was called..but yeah that one(it wasnt sam and max, indiana jones, star wars, monkey island or grim fandango...it WAS on the xbox 1,and had a guy who couldnt see so well at the beginning cut scene...as i said it was funny as hell)
EDIT:Armed and Dangerous...thats what it was called, great game
and concerning midtown madness 3,it would be good that microsoft actually make it backwards compatible on the 360 before making a sequel(or do both)
counter strike current gen console version
star wars galaxies 2..done right better this time
and the one current gen sequel that i have been waiting for ,and IMO is needed is (again another Lucasarts game)..
oh yeah i remember hearing about that slimmer 360 ...didnt hear anything else though,on the inside it prolly needs a redux(and to finally put the RRoD to bed),but on the outside i think its fine....not sure what group MS would be targeting if they did do a slimmer 360,its already pretty cheap now,and it may not be as compact as the Wii,but it is still smaller/slimmer than the PS3
as for the noise of the 360 disc drive has never been a concern for me,the 360 isn't right next to me,and any noise it does make the TV usually drowns it out
