he is however only producer of those,he is directing Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen, which i think is prolly gonna be like Empire strikes back where the bad guys win only for a third film to cement that 'good is better' statement

made me laugh when the bad guy said 'still taking orders from that Ring Knocker'..or something to that effect...my eyebrows were raised then i can tell you, especially as it was a demo
Does "Ring Knocker" have some kind of really crude meaning in the UK? Because here it's just a somewhat derogatory reference to an officer who graduated from one of the the Service Academies (Naval Academy, West Point, etc) or a military academy (VMI, The Citadel) due to their propensity toward getting gigantic class rings (overcompensating perhaps?) which they often obnoxiously tap against tables, doors, etc.
maybe i saw too much into it then, but yeah in the playgrounds and all,RingKnocker is a bad put down(at least here)......good to know that the game meant something else though
this year hasnt been a busy reading year for me(compared to others)

Eh, second half of Godfather 3 is actually pretty good (once they get to Italy). Especially the opera house finale. First half is very weak though.
But the movie is a classic IMO just for the oft-referenced "Just when I think I'm out, They pull me back in!" line.
i second this....of course it comes no where near as good as the first two,but i enjoyed part 3 still,i just wish Robert Duvall could of been in it(asking too much?..or was it he was asking for the same money as Al Pacino?)..George Hamilton isnt half as good as Duvall..IMO GF3 had a young cast start in as well..Bridget Fonda and Andy Garcia..i weren't really interested in them though
damn,i couldn't think of the name of the film.....so i looked at the properties...wish i hadnt now,i know i could of got the title after a few ...hours
EDIT:oh and that picture that Map posted with John Wayne and Maureen O' Hara(maybe?)and Peterock guessed it was The Quiet Man....i would of said E.T...because thats what E.T was watching on TV(that actual scene that the picture shows)when he and Elliot were having their first 'connection' thing

I'm rather surprised as I thought the SAG had already outlawed that after the Salkinds came up with the great idea to split The Three Musketeers into two movies and only pay everyone for one film.
i love those films!!!...better than the Disney remake anyway, with Kiefer/charlie and ...had to look on IMDB for Chris O Donnell
the 70s versions had a great cast(how great was Oliver Reed)..might watch them tonight actually, but i havent got the third one(return of the musketeers..with C.Thomas Howell in it..made 1989)
The Three and Four Musketeers are two of my favorite fims ever. I watch them a couple of times a year. They were the perfect blend of comedy, drama, romance, and action. Richard Lester was at the top of his game, and George MacDonald Frasier gave him the perfect script. Thank god they didn't go through with the orginal plan of featuring the Beatles in the roles of the Musketeers.
And don't waste any sweat on the Return of the Musketeers. It was horrible. They tried to catch lightning in a bottle again, and got electrocuted. I mean, poor Roy Kinnear fell off a horse and DIED during the making of it, and they stuckin a body double for the rest of the film, and always came up with lame excuses to not show his face. And Kim Cattral? Ugh. Stay away! Stay far away!
i do remember seeing the third one,but it was prolly when it got released on VHS and my dad rented it out...can't remember anything
as for The Beatles,i am a big fan of them....but no,not as Muskerteers,LOL...i also heard they(the beatles)were planning on doing lord of the rings at one point as well(John was Gandalf,Paul was Frodo, not sure about George and Ringo)..thankfully that didnt come off either(Magical Mystery Tour film came out of it instead,unfortunately,LOL)...Richard Lester was director of Help! i think(and superman 2,after they(the Salkinds again) fired Richard Donner
as for Back to the Future, anyone remember the cartoon...not sure if Marty was in it,but i am sure the Doc was
EDIT:okay i have just looked it up on IMDB and the cartoon had Dan 'Homer Simpson' Castellaneta as Doc..and Mary Steenburgen and Thomas F wilson reprising thier roles from the films
well, what can i say?...apart from CK gets the prize for best link title!!..Bravo,sir
oh,wait yeah i can say one more thing,we get this a day before you guys....woohoo!! ..we get our new DVD/BR releases on a monday(new video game releases on a Friday)
and yup,on my xmas wishlist as well....as Huw the Poo says i think Ledger was great, but i felt he didnt have enough screen time....the film itself started getting silly, with those damn radar bat eyes near the end ..at that point, sat in the cinema i just felt as though the next few batman films and we will be back where we started ,after 'batman and robin'
i saw 1 and 3 at the cinema....loved number 1,....was dissapointed with number 3..flying train at the end,i remember me and my friend in the cinema just laughing at that..not a good laugh either..now that i have them all on DVD,i like them all, great films
i think the order for me is 1,2 and 3(thats 1 as favourite,3 as least favourite...not (just)the order i watch them,LOL)
the girl changed from 1 to 2(martys girlfriend)to Elizabeth Shue..not sure that many people noticed TBH
hoverboard scene was great 2 also had the jaws hologram movie...'shark still looks fake'...oh and the max headroom/michael jackson thing in the diner
didnt Crispin Glover try and sue Steven Spielberg/Robert Zemeckis for using his Back to the future 1 footage in back to the future 2?
Biff in BTTF II watching fistful of dollars(or was it 'for a few dollars more'?..nah i think its the first) in the tub with all his women,LOL
anyway,all fun movies though
Teen Wolf Too ....LOL,i went to the cinema to see that as well...Jason Bateman FTW!!!
Deus Ex was a good game..but i remember at the time wanting a guide,as i got lost a lot,i wasnt on t'internet at that time!!
and i think Deus ex was for the PS2/PC(which i never played)..Deus ex:invisible war was for the xbox..but still a good game
Morrowind i have, but cant get into it as i did with Oblivion, shame we cant do chat Myto on the 360 as i play it(its disabled when you play xbox1 games),then you could of walked me through it,,LOL
GameAh-Fable was/is still a good game(despite its downfalls)..just dont get the xbox original version from the marketplace
and as i have said to myto..although turned based i loved Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey(LO was the best of the two though)
EDIT:wait i have another one,if you have a Gamecube...or a Wii for that matter(with a GC pad)...Skies of Arcadia(i believe there was a Skies of Arcadia:legends which was like a special edition or a remake as well)...and Skies of Arcadia 2 is meant to be happening for the Wii ...nope i tell a lie,it was cancelled
anyway, the first is a good game and needs to be mentioned, sky pirates galore!!!
Play3-live reports that the information has fallen this morning at the Photokina photography fair in Cologne (Germany). Sony Cameras, present on site, have run an english trailer of the PS3 exclusive photography and safari simulation video game AFRIKA. Intrigued, journalists asked Sony why was the game shown at such a fair, and not a gaming convention. Sony Cameras replied that first of all, AFRIKA is a photography game, and second of all because the game will hit Europe in 2009.
i am sure a North American release date isnt far away

i got into the home beta today (total install's under a half-meg, & it runs pretty smoothly),
wait a minute....half a meg???..or did you mean half a Gig?..just i was expecting it to be a lot more
anyway,i understand about the resort thing,i guess it could be kind of strange,i myself would of chosen a street, everyone comes out of their houses, and i dunno perhaps the lobby/amusements could be at the end of the street
just attempting it is enough for a round of applause
i started smoking when i was 13,quit when i was 18,got in with a girl when i was 20 and she got me smoking again(bitch)...and then quit when i was 22(or 23)...used to smoke a pack of Marlboro a day, coughed up all sorts of things...glad i quit
(Marlboro because my hero at the time smoked them...Slash from Guns N' Roses..LOL,what can i say...monkey see, monkey do)
maybe some advice or some things to look out for....(whch you may of already got to)
-that smoke after a meal is one of the hardest to stay away from -damn it,do something with your hands!! -watch out for Dreaming/dreams,often after i quit i would dream of having a smoke and when i awoke i would sometimes feel one of two things, dissapointment, thinking i had smoked again(immediately followed by joy as it was a dream)..or wanting a smoke even more -going out drinking with mates...if mates smoke, its murder seeing them smoking, and even when going out and they dont smoke,a beer usually goes well with a smoke in the other hand
its funny how i stopped actually,i stopped immediately.... i was broke of cash(so no change there then),and i borrowed some money of my girlfriends auntie, and i got some cigerettes with the money..got back home and realised my Cat needed food, and i had forgot all about her..it kinda hit me,how shit it was being a smoker and being skint, gave the cigerettes to my girlfriend...borrowed some more money of her dad,LOL..got the moggy some food..havent smoked since...wierd,but at least that little episode did me a favour...that was 10 years ago
that cat is dead now(runover),girlfriend left(older guy),and i am still broke....but at least i still have my health
my dads friend, old army buddy(who i called 'Uncle Jack' as they were that close)used to come round to my mum and dads with his wife every saturday to play cards, shoot the shit whatever,he smoked a lot and got lung cancer,i believe he needed to actually have a lung removed...after missing a few months of coming round,he started the tradition again of coming round every saturday(not smoking),he brought his wife and also a very, large machine to help him breath,it was pretty dreadful to look at,i can still remember my uncle going to pet my mums cat,and the damn thing being so scared of him the cat took off the fastest i have ever seen the cat move,i'll never forget the look on my Uncles face when the cat did one,it was the saddest face i have ever seen....my uncle died not long after, about 1996 i think it was,he was the same age as my dad,my dad turned 62 last birthday
below are some pictures to help you stop smoking(you dont have to look).....in the spoiler as they are not nice pictures
but i still wanna say good luck with how it goes ...like i said at the top,its good that you are at least trying
Spoiler for Hiden:
Small cell carcinoma (oat cell) of the lung in a smoker.
arteries i think with advance lung cancer(i maybe wrong about that, but it is from an anti smoking advertisement)
not great quality infact the quality is terrible, crooked and very small, but stick with it(2minutes 32 seconds),it has a lot of lightcycle action, the special effects look awesome...and very cool...and Jeff Bridges being in it suprised me as well
seems the lightcycle stream can do better than rightangles all the time, but then again if this is another game, seems that it is upto date and the 'graphics' can do that now
oh and like Se7en...instead of Tron 2,i think its Tr2n...which is a bit er....
question on episode 1 season 3(and yes i am in the UK,but i have seen the new episode so,its all cool about spoilers)
Matt the (is he still a cop?)guy who can read minds...is he in another 'fantasy world' like in what happened to him and was it Noah?...that Matts dad did,or has he just been transported to the middle of a desert?..i kinda didnt click on what had happened to him,i just know that Future Peter did it to him
and i think i need to watch season 1 and 2 again...in this episode when future Peter says to Angela(peter and Nathans mum)he is safe, after she asks him what has he done with her son(meaning past peter..to the ,er future peter)..so was it Future Peter who locked up Past Peter in that Trailer (handcuffed to the inside)and sent him to Dublin(or was it Belfast?..Ireland anyway)at the beginning of season 2?..again a little confused
and Angela said that Future Peter had already changed the future with him just being here..so er yeah..head is still up my arse, this is nearly as bad as Lost, for me,getting Lost...seems like they are expecting us to take a lot in and keep track of everyone
right,i've got a headache now..time to lie down and talk about heroes again later on
i want this game, and this picture just secures that...but why do you all release these games at the same time??..because of the oncoming flood of games..its gonna be hell..paying and playing(well, not the bad kind of hell)..LOL,especially if its as said 'Oblivion with guns'....i put 100hrs into Oblivion
this was funny as well, that i saw with the picture
Please Note: Due to the weight of this item we are not able to ship this outside the UK.
well, this game has just dropped a few places down my must have list...where the hell is the Gewehr 43 for the damn Germans????...Treyarch did this with COD3,and with the American side having the Gerand it made the weapon selection unbalanced...consider me pissed right off
not really bothered by the lack of British weapons...didnt even think they were gonna make an appearance in this one

The recent posts regarding family and friend's illnesses and deaths, got me to remembering something. When I got the news that my father had died (not a surprise at least, he'd been just hanging on for a few months) - I was playing a video game. Metallicorphan and I were duo'ing in Final Fantasy XI when my phone rang... I will never forget exactly what I was doing or where I was in the game. Even months later, I'd get that tug on the heartstrings when I was crossing the bridge near where we were when I heard the news.
I'll also never forget someone who was very important to me during that period - someone I'd never met in real life. Someone who was so supportive and sensitive (oh, yeah, he was, sorry if I'm ruining his reputation on GT!) If you've ever read the Metal and Myto show here, you know of whom I speak.
Thank you, Metal, from the bottom of my heart!
thats alright Mighty-O(and i dont think i have a rep on here,LOL),i certainly remember that night..when you went, because you were the gal to goto,i kept getting messages ingame 'wheres myto'(felt like thousands of people wanted to know where you were at that time),everyone in our linkshell was concerned
i dont think i have had any really bad news while playing a game....unfortunately it prolly will happen though at somepoint,i play that much,if i am not in work or asleep, then i am on a videogame
wow,i can't believe this thread was first made over a year ago!!(was it really that long ago)
as for the demo, yup i played it the other day...not bad,but with the onslaught of games oncoming, this has as much chance getting on my list as Samus Aran and Master Chief have of getting it on
made me laugh when the bad guy said 'still taking orders from that Ring Knocker'..or something to that effect...my eyebrows were raised then i can tell you, especially as it was a demo
the up and down terrain stuff was cool, for a single player, online (unlike what i said in my first post)...it makes me feel like it could just be a mess with everyone messing about with the terrain everywhere...not even sure if there is online, but still
you also get the day and nightime cycle<<no pun intended..and weather effects
been meaning to pick this back up again(along with Mass Effect),and have already downloaded the two updates for when i do,looking forward to the third update as well, hopefully that one will include the new area that the Devs couldnt fit into the original game thats been rumoured to be in the update

I want to like it but those load screens were so frequent I couldn't take it. Walk out any door and load screen, look at your watch load screen. Heck I think there were load screens if you just stood still!
Of course this thread is making me think about putting it back on my gamefly queue.
I just got this from Gamefly today, and after getting my bearings, I'm now hooked. Thinking about making it a keeper, $17.99 to buy it from Gamefly.
One question: what is the penalty for getting caught breaking curfew?
an achievement if you stack your hours up,LOL
what i can remember,i dont think you get that punished....maybe the detention jobs, can't remember(you get them for being bad, like firing weapons in school etc)...but the jobs arent hard at all, lawnmowing or shovelling Shi.. snow..if it isnt the jobs then its nothing, sent to bed/dorm,without supper,LOL
i havent played the first 2 Fallout games(as i am Console only)...do i need to, to enjoy this?...as i didnt need to play The Elder Scrolls 1,2 and 3 to enjoy 4(i got Morrowind after Oblivion....for xbox)
GamingTrend All of that negativity shouldn’t put you off of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The fact of the matter is, this is one of the better Star Wars titles out there. While some elements of the plot are somewhat overused or contrived, it doesn’t change the fact some of the plot moments are well worth seeing. I enjoyed the game from beginning to end, despite some of the more frustrating moments and technical glitches. There are a few choices that you’ll have to make at the very end of the game, but somewhat like Bioshock, they are in fact limited to the very end.
seems you gave it just a little higher than teamxbox

sounds good ron. that ce package looks pretty nice, so i need to decide if it's worth the extra $20. this would be so much easier if every other FN game i was interested in didn't hit the shelf within weeks of each other.
I have the CE pre-ordered, but
Collectors Edition includes:
* Embossed Tin * Saints Row 2 Money Clip * Double-Sided Poster/Map * Exclusive Art Book * Silver Bullet Shaped 512 MB USB Thumb Drive
really isn't making me feel the need to pay 20 bucks more.
huh,why have you guys only got 512mb USB stick...as posted above,we (UK)get the 1gig stick..and i believe $20...is about £10 for me...thats about 6 bottles of 2ltr Coke, thats not bad really..i have paid more for less on other special editions ..the 1gig USB stick are usually about £5 for a start, with a art book and the crap you can download,i still think its a pretty decent offer

RISE FROM THE GRAVE!!
Interesting...apparently the glitch in the pub game WAS intentional.
According to a quick blurb in IGN's Fable II preview, "Just be warned. Molyneux has said that the cheat was no accident and that those who used it to earn their money will be in for a surprise." Something tells us that "surprise" isn't being filthy rich in-game. Is he bluffing? We'll find out soon enough when our sea of coins is quickly drained from under us. Fable 2 is due out October 21.
Interesting. Quite interesting.
i personally believe that the intentional part is BS...i reckon they just cant patch it,so they have put something in the game of Fable II...even if it does do something really bad, other people will find out first, and then when another person hears what it is,then they just wont connect the character..or if they were smart they had one character for ligit one for cheating
what gets me is that i spent all night playing the damn game(my ears popped well into that session as well, and i couldnt hear anything but high pitched noise!!) only for a cheat to come out that makes it easier...and i have tried it,LOL(who hasnt)
