(on another note)the only petition i have signed is to get Peter Jackson to direct The Hobbit(as MGM and new line have apparently fell out with him)...and i am not really that fussed if he didnt direct it in the end...just as long as Uwe Boll didnt get his hands on it,LOL

i downloaded the patch ,and it added the 10 new achievements...now on my profile,instead of saying 100% done..it says 80%,and that really is bugging me...i wanna get those other achievements quick!!

Finally finished! 

107 hours. 
Party members were 3 @ 63 and 3 @ 59.  36 hunts completed.  I was a bit too overpowered for the final fights, but it was still an incredible finish, so I didn't mind at all.

What a fantastic game experience this was from beginning to end.  Story, music, battle system, rpg elements - all top notch.  I can't believe a game held my attention for this long, but it did all the way through.

Well done, Square Enix.  Well done.

i have just been reading a review on COD3,i have it for the 360 and thought i would check out the review see if there were any noticable differences...and it said that there was no voice for online play,well i thought..'ouch'..but then it occured to me,that i havent seen the headset for the ps3 ...does it have one?...if not,does that mean the online gaming is just online gaming and no talking to each player?

if there is a headset,then is it just COD3 that doesnt have the voice?

72 hrs on the clock

been on it a lot this weekend,but havent done that much of the story,i am in archades(the nicer,posher part)and have been swapping info with everyone to get a chop,i had 28 chops and swapped them for a sandlewood chop...not really that sure what that one does

got a taxi and i am on my way to cids lab,thats where i stopped with the story

i decided to take down some hunts,i have now done 23.....worse ones are the ones that run about...the trickster(white chocobo)took forever to find,and kill, as he had some protective stuff that i couldnt dispell...and also that rabbit in the jungles was a pain,running around everywhere...there is one hunt i wont be able to do,as it involves completeing the dalmascan patient quest to get a key,but one of the items needed for that quest is a snakeskin from one of the hunts....and i sold it..D'OH

all my party are now level 54...still loving it

may try for some actual side quests soon....the airship one i may do(6 girls..sisters i think)

looks pretty good..i may still wait for the 360 version

but thats a great idea flicking yer wrists just like spidey,looks a lot like the first spiderman game,which i loved and finished(i think it was the second spidey game that was cel shaded or something)

as for the video,what was the grey lead coming out of his wii-mote?,and also,i think near the end i spotted his Wii had a grey cable up at the top where the gamecube controllers usually go

From what I've read, lately, it takes awhile to send the 360 in and get it back.  Anybody familiar with this policy?  I've heard almost a month turn-around time...

when my disc tray decided it didnt wanna close again last september,i had to send it for repair via MS...UPS van came and picked it up and within the week i got it back...perhaps it was only because of the disc tray screwing up i dont know...i havent heard it taking a month though

the rumours are that it is the end of april when the new 360 is due,so no doubt it will be about may or june

if you can hold of until then,then get the new one....but whatever happens,do get one,their online service alone is worth it

here in the UK,i got my 360 in the second week of december 2005(god its been that long already???)...i was quite lucky,as we didnt seem to get any more 360's at a decent flow until march i think... i had my head in final fantasy 11 360 beta at the time...so whether(well it proberbly did)it had an effect on how the sales were doing i am not sure...the 360 hasnt faired that badly actually over here....the usual games were number 1 on all format charts(that is until FF12 came out)

i heard it was WI-FI...is this true?,if so,is there anyway i can connect the machine to the internet,with an ethernet?

its just that i have my good ISP upstairs with ethernet(straight from the modem),connected to my 360,and the Wii connected via WI-FI downstairs to my shittier ISP(through the PC),as the Wii isnt online gaming(yet)...i would rather use my good ISP and use the ethernet upstairs


also,with PS2 games only having 75% coverage here in the UK...does anyone know about PS1 games....its just that i have all the FFs that came out on PS1 still

well,here in the UK,the papers(damn them)have just been reporting on how we are paying £125 extra than americans and given the fact that the backwards compatibility has been lowered somewhat..and also it works out that we are paying £10 extra for the games as well

they havent sold out anyway,shops are reporting that if you didnt preorder a ps3,you can still go down to the shop and purchase one over the counter

still,nothing concrete,but with all thats gone on recently,it wouldnt suprise me if FF13 did come to 360...some one important said just last week that squeenix white engine(which they are using for FF13)could easily be adapted and ported for the 360

I'll go ahead and predict that Mass Effect will be huge (selling comparable numbers to KOTOR 1), assuming that it's of the expected quality.  And that those sales will likely be double what DMC4 gets.

hmm this may be going back then.  i dont know why but i had picked up the impression that this was a SPECTACULAR game, one of the premier ps2 etc etc etc.  i thought maybe i was missing something or it got better.  i played a bit more and its gotten slightly better only on the backtracking side of things.  i think its probably going back to the store in a couple days.  still frustrating.  really i thought the response to this topic would be "stick with it youll love it," but (couple dissenters aside) it ended up sounding like a lot of people thought it was a sorta average / below average  with some nasty quirks.  oh well... why did i think this game was going to be so good?

Are they not releasing it as a SKU for stores at all? Seems odd.

Sounds like a Holiday release to me with a GOTY all inclusive SKU.

And considering that it would be very weird at best to switch DVDs whenever you decided to head to the new lands or not, packaging it together as a GOTY edition, or purchasing it via Live, are the only console ways they could do it.

you could install it off the retail disc(like FF11 has to be installed on your 360 HDD)even though that would still take up your HDD space...as some people,dont have their 360s connected to the internet....i remember reading last week that there were rumours about a retail disc coming out for the 360(even though it had been denied),because people when they pay for an expansion they want the disc,cover and box,,etc

but i think a game of the year edition would be most likely with all expansions...i am hoping anyway,because i would buy it ,and then i would be able to delete the expansion of my HDD

i read a long time ago that the ONLY reason installing the game on the PS3 was to get rid of the lag,pop up and clunky fighting...if i had a PS3 though i dont think that would be enough to make me buy it again,i did fine with the 360 version,yeah it was notciable the lag and the loading in the middle of a field(didnt notice the popup as much)...but being a year old now and at the time i was used to last generation games....it was still fantastic

heard the PS3 arent getting any downloads(shimmering isles) apart from the ones included on the disc(knights of the nine,etc),because the PS3 isnt the same for downloads as the 360 is....anyone know if that is true?..or have i got my wires crossed?

well it would be great for final fantasy to come to 360,i am hoping that lost odyssey kicks ass in japan,even more than blue dragon did...and hopefully squeenix will lift more than an eyebrow this time,and see that there is an audience for FF games on the 360,because i dont think FFXIonline was as popular on 360(me and myto are 360/FFXI members),and didnt make an impression,me thinks.Even though i think its great...just its a time sink

and as for it being more than 1 DVD,i dont mind,it would prolly still be cheaper on 3 DVDs than on a BLU-RAY...okay i guessed at that last part,i have no idea...anyway,when you are playing the game and you have to change discs,i dont mind it as much as it gives you that little bit of satisfaction that you finished the first disc and you are on the second(memories of FF7 here)
