apparently you should save it when you come to choose which of the duke or dutchess quests you wanna see out until the end,as when you finish one,you can not finish the other...not sure of the details..i am just saving it in another file at the moment...its just that you cant get both achievements ,you have to choose...so see one out until the end,get the achievement,and then reload the past save file and see of the other quest and get that achievement....as i said though i dont know the details,so be careful

i am pissed off...i reloaded my save that was in shivering isles,and all my other download messages came up

i have inherited frostcrag spire..etc,and i didnt think anything about it,but later i went back to the original cyrodil and went to frostcrag spire...and its bare!!!...i furnished that place and everything!!...worse still i had a years gameing of items in the basement chests,that are now not there

i cant believe that i have lost everything,i am gutted to say the least

ahh,so you get ultimate weapons...nice

and as for time,i am stuck for it,trying to find time playing this and the new oblivion download...but i am off work for about 6 days this easter(starting a week tomorrow,yup,easter is here..nearly)so hopefully i can get some serious downtime on it...and i will be on it this weekend as well.....i have no life anyway,so i am cool with it

just joined the rare game clan at the beach house,and killed the big tortoise...he says there is 30 rare game out there(i have about 7 rarae game listed in my clan primer),so i know that i still have a lot to do that i want to get done before the final stretch,hopefully i can get most of it all done

Finally, after four months this game is finished.  I clocked in at about 67 hours and all my party members were at level 47.  The final battles were a breeze, as I didn't even have to switch party members or fire off any quickenings.  The ending was great, and I'm really looking forward to Revenant Wings on the DS. 

holy shitballs i am level 56,and in the main quest i have just had to go back to the jungle...i think i have quite a bit to go yet,the way you guys talk,it sounds as though i am gonna kick heaven and hell out of the bad guys.....i saw that it is i think 4 boss battles in a row at the end,and that worried me some....but i feel better hearing how you easily defeated them

as i have just commented(and no doubt ignored,LOL)on major nelson...the best thing i think we need on the spring update is the ability to use our own external hard drives

we pay now,£70 for a 20gig 360 harddrive....the new $180 120 gig will cost us about£90(make that 100 after VAT)

but they sell 300 gig external hard drives for £80-£90 here.....its just crazy,and to me looks as though MS are preying on us because we need it for the 360 and cant use any other

but yeah,i will be getting the hard drive when it comes out(i have desperately needed it for months now)



as for new line cinema coming to Video marketplace(that i am still waiting for here)...just think,HD lord of the rings!!

At the same time we feel that allowing more people access to our content pleases far more people than it displeases (after all, we're not denying Devil May Cry 4 to anyone that was already going to get it). It really is the best decision for the company and for consumers.

Sony PS3 hit by £10m in cancellations

LONDON - The long-awaited UK launch of Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) games console has been marred by the cancellation of more than £10m worth of orders from retailers and consumers.

Retail industry sources claim the electronics giant has had as many as 20,000 pre-orders of the £425 console cancelled in the run-up to its delayed launch last Friday.
There have been none of the stock shortages typical of earlier console launches and the majority of the cancelled pre-orders are believed to have come from speculators hoping to sell the units on eBay for a profit.

Virgin Megastores claims to have ordered significantly more PS3 consoles than rival Nintendo Wiis or Xbox 360s, both of which sold out within 48 hours of hitting the shops before Christmas. However, it has sold only two-thirds of the several thousand PS3s available in its UK stores.
In an attempt to generate buzz around the launch, Sony offered a free Bravia TV worth £2000 to the first 125 gamers to purchase a console.
'The launch of the Play-Station 3 has been a victim of its own success,' said Stephen Lynne, senior promotions and partnerships manager at Virgin Megastores. 'There are so many available that consumers know they can get one when-ever they want.'
Sony is understood to have made 220,000 consoles available in the UK and retailers are yet to report the supply problems that have hit the launch of rivals. However, analysts are warning against interpreting the absence of a stock shortage as a negative sign.
Production problems forced Sony to confine the console's launch to North America and Japan last November. Its European roll-out was delayed by four months, which meant it missed the key festive sales period. Many speculate that Sony will cut the price later this year to boost take-up.
'This time next week we could be saying that the PlayStation 3 has been the most successful console launch ever,' said Nick Parker, an analyst at Screen Digest. 'Take-up was always going to be slower than that of its rivals because of its higher price tag.'
The PlayStation 2 won the last round of the console wars, selling more than 115m units globally. However, the PS3 is trailing in third in this latest battle. It has reportedly sold 1.5m units worldwide, compared with 5m Wiis and more than 10m Xbox 360s.

the expansion is pretty damn big

i havent really got that far,and i have been playing it for about 2 hrs....just got to the gatekeeper

there are a lot of tunnles and secret undergrounds lairs that took me about 20-30 minutes to get out of,it was pretty big

i went one way,and everything is nice and pretty,and as i looked at the map ,i saw the size of it.....but i have yet to go the other way..(you get a choice of which way you wanna go,the other way is meant to be the darkside of things

Kudos to Sony though. They just made a lot of money.

Are you implying that Sony makes a profit on PAL PS3s?
Also it is great that Sony was able to 160,000 PS3s.  Unfortunately for them they shipped 220,000.

Uhh...yes. Unless you think it costs them more to make the PS3 over there with less in them? They removed the chip to cut costs. They also charged $837.20 for the PS3 over there. I would say they are most likely making a small profit on them now, since costs continue to go down for all the hardware that is inside.

Isn't VAT something like 15% over there?  So that's like $125.00 of that. 

i think we pay VAT 17.5% last time i checked...we also pay an extra £10 over on the games(games cost about £40-£50 here)..but the way that we got the delayed launch,and the BC chip ripped out,it really does piss me off..i wouldnt of minded as much if we got the ps3 the same time and in the same condition as you guys...but as a lot of the times,we got screwed.....just like those damn burger king games i am still waiting for...maybe Maccy Ds,can do some cool games

my Wii still only gets turned on once a week....i got excite truck for it(or should i call it ...'dodge that F*&^ing tree'),its an okay title,but to be honest i bought it out of the fact that there was nothing else for me to buy

the VC for me though is a great success,i love that

okay,i have to post this as it made me giggle(and please dont take offense Hetz)....ASDA in Manchester,where i live(ASDA is owned by Wal-mart)opened their doors midnight...and they sold 3 all day,LOL

i am not in their posistion,i am glad the game is coming to 360...maybe if PS3 got a 360/xbox game that i really liked.......actually,no..i dont think i would go that far to sign a petition

(on another note)the only petition i have signed is to get Peter Jackson to direct The Hobbit(as MGM and new line have apparently fell out with him)...and i am not really that fussed if he didnt direct it in the end...just as long as Uwe Boll didnt get his hands on it,LOL

i downloaded the patch ,and it added the 10 new achievements...now on my profile,instead of saying 100% done..it says 80%,and that really is bugging me...i wanna get those other achievements quick!!

Finally finished! 

107 hours. 
Party members were 3 @ 63 and 3 @ 59.  36 hunts completed.  I was a bit too overpowered for the final fights, but it was still an incredible finish, so I didn't mind at all.

What a fantastic game experience this was from beginning to end.  Story, music, battle system, rpg elements - all top notch.  I can't believe a game held my attention for this long, but it did all the way through.

Well done, Square Enix.  Well done.

okay,sorry i have another question

i have just been reading a review on COD3,i have it for the 360 and thought i would check out the review see if there were any noticable differences...and it said that there was no voice for online play,well i thought..'ouch'..but then it occured to me,that i havent seen the headset for the ps3 ...does it have one?...if not,does that mean the online gaming is just online gaming and no talking to each player?

if there is a headset,then is it just COD3 that doesnt have the voice?

72 hrs on the clock

been on it a lot this weekend,but havent done that much of the story,i am in archades(the nicer,posher part)and have been swapping info with everyone to get a chop,i had 28 chops and swapped them for a sandlewood chop...not really that sure what that one does

got a taxi and i am on my way to cids lab,thats where i stopped with the story

i decided to take down some hunts,i have now done 23.....worse ones are the ones that run about...the trickster(white chocobo)took forever to find,and kill, as he had some protective stuff that i couldnt dispell...and also that rabbit in the jungles was a pain,running around everywhere...there is one hunt i wont be able to do,as it involves completeing the dalmascan patient quest to get a key,but one of the items needed for that quest is a snakeskin from one of the hunts....and i sold it..D'OH

all my party are now level 54...still loving it

may try for some actual side quests soon....the airship one i may do(6 girls..sisters i think)

looks pretty good..i may still wait for the 360 version

but thats a great idea flicking yer wrists just like spidey,looks a lot like the first spiderman game,which i loved and finished(i think it was the second spidey game that was cel shaded or something)

as for the video,what was the grey lead coming out of his wii-mote?,and also,i think near the end i spotted his Wii had a grey cable up at the top where the gamecube controllers usually go

From what I've read, lately, it takes awhile to send the 360 in and get it back.  Anybody familiar with this policy?  I've heard almost a month turn-around time...

when my disc tray decided it didnt wanna close again last september,i had to send it for repair via MS...UPS van came and picked it up and within the week i got it back...perhaps it was only because of the disc tray screwing up i dont know...i havent heard it taking a month though

the rumours are that it is the end of april when the new 360 is due,so no doubt it will be about may or june

if you can hold of until then,then get the new one....but whatever happens,do get one,their online service alone is worth it

here in the UK,i got my 360 in the second week of december 2005(god its been that long already???)...i was quite lucky,as we didnt seem to get any more 360's at a decent flow until march i think... i had my head in final fantasy 11 360 beta at the time...so whether(well it proberbly did)it had an effect on how the sales were doing i am not sure...the 360 hasnt faired that badly actually over here....the usual games were number 1 on all format charts(that is until FF12 came out)

i heard it was WI-FI...is this true?,if so,is there anyway i can connect the machine to the internet,with an ethernet?

its just that i have my good ISP upstairs with ethernet(straight from the modem),connected to my 360,and the Wii connected via WI-FI downstairs to my shittier ISP(through the PC),as the Wii isnt online gaming(yet)...i would rather use my good ISP and use the ethernet upstairs


also,with PS2 games only having 75% coverage here in the UK...does anyone know about PS1 games....its just that i have all the FFs that came out on PS1 still

well,here in the UK,the papers(damn them)have just been reporting on how we are paying £125 extra than americans and given the fact that the backwards compatibility has been lowered somewhat..and also it works out that we are paying £10 extra for the games as well

they havent sold out anyway,shops are reporting that if you didnt preorder a ps3,you can still go down to the shop and purchase one over the counter
