wow, thats pretty bad...as it was only the ps3 version(perhaps special edition)that you got bonus stuff, like playable goblin

i played about 30-40 minuts so far on the 360...i work nights and havent been to bed yet,and i am jiggered

the cut scenes, look like the characters, but still look xbox 1 if you ask me,the city is quite big, definetly bigger han metroplolis in superman returns....took a while to get to grips with the swinging,i am still not quite there yet...but it is enjoyable swinging around, and i did a mary jane mission, she rides with you and she tells you whether she wants to go low or high....first one was easy enough,no doubt they will son become a pain

thanks for the reviews KD icon_biggrin

Wind waker worked great...although i didnt have the chance to try the gameboy connection...same with FF :crystal chronicals

metal gear solid twin snakes was also fine.

no probelms whatsoever...although,them two and the 4 pack zelda are the only GC games i have

I was trying to think what classic Mission Impossible game you could be talking about, then I read the article and it's actually Impossible Mission.  It will be interesting to see what they did with the remake.

LOL,sorry my fault...i must be getting old....but now i really dont remember this one

i'll correct the title Tongue
12804  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Thinking of selling my Wii on: May 04, 2007, 04:43:42 AM
to be honest,i love Nintendo(i was a ninty man back in the 80's and hated the SEGA master system, hey, maybe i was some of the first fanboys...now i'm proud)

but the Wii,has been a little disapointing.........Zelda,was great as i expected, and i played it all the way through...but then, nothing,i am lucky if i play on it once a week, the VC is definetly the saving grace at the moment...but i am pissed that the main guns havent come out,i really want metroid and mario(even paper mario wouldnt go amiss here in europe)...resident evil 4 i want, and i am getting manhunt 2 for the wii, mainly because nothing else will be grabbing my attention for the console,if that game came on the 360,i would get it for that

i have enjoyed playing the virtual console games, but i enjoyed them as well on the NES etc...except that turtles game..hate that

excite truck,or watch that tree....is going back today(part ex towards spidey , MGS:PO or FF3).

also, the Wiimote gimmick, wore of quite quickly for me.....maybe again because more games that i want need to be released

but,i had the last 3 last gen consoles, and i aim to have this gen 3 consoles(just need PS3)...i just hope ninty pick up on the releases

what ever happened to the star wars rogue squadren games?,have any been confirmed for the Wii?
12805  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Wii]EDIT: Impossible Mission to hit Wii shop channel on: May 04, 2007, 04:32:32 AM
a remake of the classic mission impossible game will find its way to Wii shop channel...it wont be on the virtual console, and wont be on a disc...just the shop channel...now what worries me is how big will it be(file size i mean),as the game is also being released for the PS2,PSP and DS.....and if its coming out for those 3 as well....just how much will this download be

i am not really sure if i think this is a good idea

12809  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: new Gears maps this thursday on: May 04, 2007, 03:56:06 AM
its nothing against Gears of war or Epic when i say this, but i wonder whose idea it was to put the cog guides up for points as well

with the PS3 network, isnt there some problems with it?,not being stable or having voice,or is that all nonsense?

glad you are liking the maps ATB...are they still small like the others?thats why i never liked GoW online...the maps were too small

and i dont think i have ever disconnected while online with LIVE(1 time i did,but it was my IP)
12810  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: new Gears maps this thursday on: May 03, 2007, 06:58:58 PM
actually a lot of people(including myself)have been making their say on major nelson.com

the fact that Epic wanted to release these maps for free, and microsoft stepping in saying that they want to charge for them has put a lot of people to question just exactly xbox live gold players are paying for...what i can see,is the playable demos a week earlier..and online play(at the moment, its just COD3 for me)...thats £40 a year,i was more than happy to give them this price, but now that MS are demanding money for what the developers want to give us for free........its a little heart breaking(i for one, couldnt care less about the gears of war maps,i dont play that online...its just the principle)

apparently,someone posted that the game cost $10million to make....the game sold 3million copies at $60 a game,which makes $180million

800 points for me costs about £7,not mega ,but again its the principle if i was interested in these maps

other games(COD3 included)have sold their maps for 800points as well, but we didnt find out that the devs wanted us to have them for free, like in this situation

what do you guys think?

I wish I could say something but I can't until 5/4 at 9:00am PST. (gotta doublecheck the time)  Until then, I'll confirm what IGN said - yes, the game is roughly 2.5 times bigger than the previous, there is a GPS-type system, there is a top-down map, and I can also say the side missions don't suck this time. smile

thanks KD...cant wait

i am in two minds whether to go see the movie tomorrow,so the game wont spoil anything for me.....but i dont think i could be bothered sitting in the cinema for 2hrs while i will have the spidey game, final fantasy 3 and (Hopefully)mgs port ops on me....i will want to go home and play icon_confused
12812  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: spider-man 3 reviews? on: May 03, 2007, 02:28:55 PM
will do thanks,Xmann

i absolutely loved the spider-man 1 game on xbox....so anything like that(didnt play ultimate spider-man)i should be happy enough....hell,i can say right now i have proberbly worse titles in my 38 360 game collection

they play, usually, kinda like a GTA/New York sandbox  beat em up...doing missions...think superman returns, but hopefully better graphics,gameplay,story,villains..i could go on..well better everything i hope

EDIT:this part on gamefly,i think an IGN review makes it sound like a must buy for me

'The city is 2.5 times bigger than massive Spider-Man 2, and gives you a top-down map and view of the city, dotted with district names, mission objectives, and comes complete with a GPS-tracking system. All of this should solve the biggest complaints gamers had with Spider-Man 2's often ridiculous and mundane side-quests, and it gives gamers reasons to replay the game and explore its vast environments and varying missions.'

12813  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [360 + PS3]LucasArts 'Fracture' on: May 03, 2007, 02:05:29 PM
coming mid 2008,not THE 3rd person shooter i am waiting for(still no word on battlefront 3),but a new 3rd person shooter in the name of 'Fracture'...this picture shows that maybe this game will have some good Live Online Action...but maybe the screenshots show that it looks as though its leaning a little too much towards halo 2...thats what i reckon anyhow

looks okay...but what i really want is BF3...tell us now Lucas, you bearded t&*t..when is it out?

anyway, here are some details on Fracture

'Fracture advances players to the year 2161, where ecological and seismological disasters have radically altered the planet’s landscape, and a clash in ideologies places society on the threshold of war. Players set foot on the frontlines of this epic conflict in the role of Mason Briggs, a demolitions expert fighting for the Atlantic Alliance, the side that relies upon cybernetic enhancement. Pitted against the genetically enhanced soldiers of the Pacifican army, players will experience a revolution in 22nd-century warfare. In utilizing the core gameplay mechanic of Fracture, a destructive next-generation technology known as Terrain Deformation, players are equipped with an arsenal of futuristic weaponry to strategically reshape their surroundings on the fly.

Every action they perform dynamically reshapes the earth in ways no videogame has ever seen. When Briggs throws a tectonic grenade on a level battlefield, the ground blasts upward to provide access to an otherwise unreachable area. Moving on, when he comes across what appears to be an impenetrable structure, Briggs utilizes the alt-fire functionality on his rocket launcher to create enormous craters to burrow underneath the wall. Surrounded on all sides by enemies, Briggs heaves a vortex grenade, creating a swirling tornado-like mass of boulder, dirt and debris to dispatch his foes. These are just a few samples of the possibilities for Terrain Deformation. Players not only change the battlefield – they change the face of the battle itself. '

arrrgggghhh

the site of the shop(GAME) that i am getting this from,tomorrow...has taken metal gear port ops from its site,i cant find it anywhere,it was meant to be released tomorrow here...so i go to another site(HMV)..and there it says september 1st(imagine my tears)..so i ring up GAME,they say far as they know its still tomorrow................so if i go tomorrow(want to pick up final fantasy 3 for DS and spidey 3 for 360 anyway)and its been delayed i will be very pissed...when was it released in America?....november was it?...i hate Europe,i really do

EDIT:so today(friday) i go to GAME to get my MGS game....oh look it still says coming soon....pissed as pissed can get,i push my self to the front of the queue, and ask the guy if it was out today....he says 'oh..NO.. they have screwed up with the certificate...they came in but they cant sell them' or some crap...i stopped listening after 'NO'..so i tell them that it got released in America last year and they have had all this time...and he says i know they're idiots...so i got spider-man for the 360 and final fantasy 3(and the guides)...and walked out(erm, after paying for them)

then a few doors down they have a HMV,so i went in there on the off chance....it worked!!! they had no idea about the certificate error...and were still selling it....so i got it and quickly ran out the shop(again, after paying)....i dont know what the fuss was about....but i have it...my preciouusss
