Getting connected it critical to getting the BC stuff to work. everytime I fire up an old game theres a new patch for it.

Granted, I only have Halo 1 now so "firing up a game" isn't frequent enough.

yeah i was playing Simpsons:Hit and Run on the 360 and it wanted to update, but i may of cleared the cache since last time i played

Stutter, stutter, stutter! I've cleared my 360 cache, I've installed the game to the HD, I've turned off surround sound, no improvement. It stutters almost every 1-2 seconds. Very annoying. Even if I kill the music, the sound effects continue to stutter.

Is there any workaround?

i thought you were going to say because the lego folk were mute icon_biggrin

i can't remember having any problems with the sound when i had(and enjoyed)the game....faulty disc?

i dunno about this now, this is a lot worse than all the Bird Flu we had in the last 10 years, and that would go on for months has now been confirmed that its hit Britain as well

yesterday i posted my post up above^^^,i put 81 deaths..straight away i changed that to 86 deaths, then i put a strike through on that 86 and put 106 ...and now there are 149

and it seems the wrath of Khan has put Mexico on its list as Mexico City has just been hit by a powerful earthquake

Powerful earthquake hits Mexico City

Mexico Swine Flu deaths hit 149,and over 1600 cases

Swine Flu confirmed for Britain

found this

Futurama may be set for a second coming to network television.

Actor Billy West, the voice of Fry, Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Brannigan and more told the audience at the Anime Supercon in Florida recently that due to the strong sales of the Futurama DVD’s, Fox is considering a 6th season for a show they once canned due to poor ratings.

I tend to side with Merrick at Aint it Cool News, who writes:

I have mixed feelings about this. I love FUTURAMA & am horny for more, but Fox mistreated the series the first time around…made it damn near impossible to find/watch, then pulled it per lackluster ratings. If Fox will give FUTURAMA the attention/respect it deserves & air it at a consistent time? Cool. Otherwise…the stability of direct-to-DVD/Comedy Central would be vastly superior, I should think.

there is a video(a pretty good one) in that link of Billy West talking about it..the first 45 seconds are very quiet but when they start talking about it coming back the sound is fine(microphone)...i don't think anything is set in stone yet,but it certainly sounds positive

i remember when it did first get cancelled that people were saying 'the wrong Matt Groening cartoon got canned'

maybe....i have been following this story closely,i know they closed the schools and everything in mexico the other day i just read on the news that it has spread to New York,California,Texas,New Zealand and now the UK(UK and NZ spread by people coming back from Mexico ill, they are now in Quarantine )
EDIT:Ohio,Kansas and France,Canada,Isreal and Spain as well<<<suspected cases

the case in the UK was up in Scotland, the guy also has had close contact with about 20 people and they have all been rounded up

i wouldnt say its overdue, these kinds of Flu's break out every few years, its just that America never gets effected
Bird Flu(H5N1...this Swine Flu is H1N1) was massive in Asia and swept across Europe, and eventually some cases were discovered here(in the UK),and every few years a new case breaks out and people die again

    * 1975 – LPAI H5N1 was detected in a wild mallard duck and a wild blue goose in Wisconsin.

    * 1981 and 1985 – LPAI H5N1 was detected in ducks by the University of Minnesota conducting a sampling procedure in which sentinel ducks were monitored in cages placed in the wild for a short period of time.

    * 1983 – LPAI H5N1 was detected in ring-billed gulls in Pennsylvania.

    * 1986 - LPAI H5N1 was detected in a wild mallard duck in Ohio.

    * 2005 - LPAI H5N1 was detected in ducks in Manitoba, Canada.

    * 2008 - LPAI H5N1 was detected in ducks in New Zealand.

    * 2009 - LPAI H5N1 was detected in commercial poultry in British Columbia. [20]

RED→  Countries with poultry or wild birds killed by H5N1.
DARK RED →  Countries with humans, poultry and wild birds killed by H5N1.

this Swine Flu though, looks like its a lot more deadly, killing i think its up to 86 106 people now in such a short time.....i also think of 'The Stand' every time one of these breaks out

yes i think so,as you got the info on Megaton of the Overseers computer in his office when you opened the secret exit, but either way you can still explore, and soon enough you would come across it

i have now saved it at the last mission, just waiting for that lovely DLC,only did a few side missions this time(i have 17 hrs on the clock!!),managed to still get level 16,when the level cap to 30 is out,i will do the rest of the side missions,as it says it is meant to be quite tricky getting to 30

Dear Xbox LIVE Gold Member:
We launched Deal of the Week program on Feb 23rd, 2009 as an added benefit to your Gold membership and we are very excited to see the overwhelming response we have received from our loyal users such as you.
As a result of the increased transactions we know that you experienced an intermittent Xbox LIVE issue, which resulted in you being charged full price of 1200 points for the ‘Braid’ deal instead of the discounted price of 800 points. We sincerely wish to apologize for the
technical glitch and would like to take this moment to thank you for your patience and understanding as our team worked around the clock to fix this problem.
We will not only be crediting back the 400 points that were overcharged, but also be crediting an extra 100 points as a token of our appreciation and as a thank you for your loyalty during this period. You will see a credit of 500 points in your account in the coming weeks.
With unlimited online gaming, instant streaming of Netflix movies*, early access to game demos and now the exclusive discounts of Deal of the Week, we hope you continue to enjoy your Gold membership!

now,yes i bought it when it was Deal of the Week, its a good the time though i was unaware that it had charged me 1200 points,i am actually quite sure that i did actually get charged 800 points for it

i was wondering if anyone else got one of these emails, and if so,can you remember if you were charged the correct amount

this also happened with the free points i got with GTA4,i claimed my points(the scratch card came with the game) and then 3-4 months later i got some more points off them, because they said i didn't get the points originally..........fine by me i suppose icon_biggrin

CVG here have posted a list of improvements that apparently will be added to the full game

    * Battle difficulty will be greatly increased. In fact, Toriyama expects XIII to be "the most difficult FF ever".
    * In the demo, party members are CPU controlled. In the final, you'll be able to issue them directives.
    * Continuing your "Chain" in the demo isn't very important in the demo, but will vital in the final.
    * The classic FF victory fanfare isn't present in the demo, but will be in the final.
    * Victory poses may be incorporated into the final; the matter is currently under consideration.
    * If the first hit of a chain kills an enemy in the demo, your character continues attacking air for the duration of the combo. This will be remedied in the final.
    * Snow is barehanded in the demo, but will have weapons available to him in the final.
    * Encounters occur solely from the front in the demo, but various encounter styles will be present in the final.
    * The final will have a level system.
    * The demo only allows you to control one character, but the final will have a new system for managing other party members in battle.
    * The final will have command shortcuts.
    * Selecting your target in the demo can be a bit of a chore; the final will have a more streamlined targeting mechanism.
    * The final will have an "item" command in battle.
    * NPC dialogue will be subtitled in the final. In the demo, there is only voice.
    * Sazh's rather bizarre battle animation will be altered to be less strange, and more "jolly".
    * The Time Gauge maxes out at 3 in the demo, but you'll be able to add more segments in the final through a new character growth system.
    * Summons will be present in the final. The mysterious "TP Bonus" that appears after battles in the demo relates to them.
    * Finally, the occasional frame rate drops in the demo will be fixed, according to Toriyama.

depending on how serious they are with this
* Battle difficulty will be greatly increased. In fact, Toriyama expects XIII to be "the most difficult FF ever".

i may very well be out...i had enough of Seymore having 12 goes on the trot near to the end of FF10

i played right through the first one ages ago, when i got to the end bad guy...i would get him down to the last 100 or so and he would do this mega cure-all,at first i thought fine by me...50 minutes later he was still casting it as he got to the last 100 or so,so eventually i quit

now i know that it must of been some glitch,i dunno, because about a month ago i got out my Gamecube and attached the gameboy player to it,and put in Final Fantasy 1 and 2 cartridge and played off from where i had stopped 2 years before,i was only expecting to have a mess about...but i killed him in less than 5 minutes!!! was a cakewalk!!!..and then got to see the credits,so thats why i say it may of been a glitch

this is still set for release for 2010,must admit with it being Tim Burton i am quite looking forward to this,it has some of his regular cast that usually appear in his movies

Johnny Depp-Mad Hatter
Helena Bonham Carter-The Red Queen
Anne Hathaway-The White Queen
Alan Rickman-The Caterpillar
Stephen Fry-The Cheshire Cat
Crispin Glover-The Knave of Hearts
Christopher Lee-The Jabberwok
Timothy Spall-The Bloodhound
Matt Lucas-Tweedledee/Tweedledum
Noah Taylor-The March Hare
Michael Sheen-The White Rabbit
Mia Wasikowska-Alice

hopefully,as it is an actual Live Action production,Tim Burton can add his trademark Goth look...looking forward especially to Johnny Depp,Stephen Fry and Matt Lucas

i have read the books, but like most i still consider the Disney Cartoon to come closest to the zanyness of Lewis Carrolls novel(or at least capturing the spirit)
with it being a cartoon,it helps.Other film productions have left a bad taste(there was one version with Peter Sellers,Roy Kinnear and Dudley Moore in,which wasn't very good)..again like the Disney Cartoon i think this Tim Burton film combines both 'Alice adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the looking glass and what Alice found there' Tweedledee and Tweedledum aren't actually in Alice's adventures in Wonderland

anyone else looking forward to this?

Ridley Scott rules

Black Rain
Someone To Watch Over Me
Thelma And Louise
1492:Conquest of Paradise
G.I Jane
Black Hawk Down
Kingdom of Heaven
American Gangster
Body of Lies

whether you like all his films or not,you have to admit its still a great list of films there
Tony Scott his younger brother is also a Director, they had rumoured to of fallen out for some time, but a few years ago made peace,he has made some top films as well(more commercial movies maybe)

The Hunger
Top Gun
Beverly Hills Cop 2
Days of Thunder
The Last Boy Scout
True Romance
Crimson Tide
The Fan
Enemy of the State
Man on Fire
Deja Vu

and i suppose if they are gonna make a remake of The Warriors,Tony Scott isnt such a bad choice for director

i didnt mind KoH,i have the 4 disc version...Gladiator was a great film, and was a good film for Oliver Reed to bow out with(he died while filming),however the speech at the end of Gladiator was...well,corny and terrible, thankfully didnt ruin the film

this time i hope they have Sheriff of Nottingham AND Prince John, instead of combining the two for the Kevin Costner one, although Alan Rickman was pretty damn good in that one

looking at the IMDB page,it has the following cast

Russell Crowe    ...    Robin Hood

William Hurt   ...    William Marshall

Kevin Durand   ...    Little John

Cate Blanchett   ...    Maid Marian

Mark Strong   ...    Sir Godfrey

Vanessa Redgrave   ...    Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine
Scott Grimes   ...    Will Scarlet

Bronson Webb   ...    Jimoen
Oscar Isaac   ...    Prince John (rumored)
Alan Doyle   ...    Alan-a-Dale
Léa Seydoux   ...    Princess Isabella

i must be a little rusty with my Robin Hood knowledge(which is thanks to the Disney Cartoon Robin Hood...'but not in nottingham' etc etc)

who the hell was Alan-a-Dale,or William Marshall,is that the Sheriff Of Nottingham's real name?..actually i don't know half those names
