gutted with this i grew up watching the Cannonball run films and his and Burt's outtakes at the end of the film were just as good as the film itself!!

he was also in some of the best Mel Brooks or Gene Wilder(seperate or together) films as well
12602  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Fallout 3 impressions thread on: May 05, 2009, 03:23:11 PM
okay i am gonna go download it

seems the NPC problem that i spoiled above has been present before the Broken Steel DLC came out,and like Sarkus says it varies if you get it at all

the Achievements are unlocking but are not being added to your gamerscore because Microsoft have yet to update the servers, which apparently happens alot with new DLC(although its the first i have heard)..but what the the hell i am gonna try it,a lot of people haven't had any problems

EDIT;apparently these are the new perks

Lv. 22:
Deep Sleep - Get the well rested bonus in any bed
Puppies! - new Dogmeat everytime he dies
Quantum Chemist - Every 10 Nuka colas you acquire are automatically converted into a Quantum

Lv. 24
Devils Highway - Karma is instantly set to Very Evil
Escalator to Heaven - Karma to Very Good
Karmic Rebalance - Karma to Neutral
No Weakness - All SPECIAL stats less than 5 become 5

Lv. 26
Nerves of steel - Faster AP regen
Rad tolerance - no effects from minor rad poisoning
Warmonger - All custom weapon schematics added to your inventory

Lv. 28
Party Boy - No alcohol withdrawal
Rad Absorption - Rad level decreases automatically over time

Lv. 30
Almost Perfect - All SPECIAL stats become 9 (Not sure if this will lower your 10's?)
Nuclear Anamoly - At 20 HP or less you explode and do insane damage to everything around you, including your allies

from Kotaku

and sorry no i dont think this is the preorder thing CK

you have to love these guitars

Harmonix and MTV today announce two new Beatles-themed guitar controllers going on sale when The Beatles: Rock Band hits stores in September - the Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet.

The Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet are a pair of full-bodied, classic guitars used extensively by John Lennon and George Harrison throughout their careers. The Rickenbacker was actually one of my suggestions for a Beatles guitar controller back when the box set was first announced, while I figured the Gretsch Duo Jet was a bit too obscure a name to appeal to the more mainstream fans. Goes to show what I know.

Both guitars should be available for purchase when The Beatles: Rock Band launches on September 9th, retailing for $99, 99.99, or 89.99 depe3nding on where your store is located. This brings the price tag for the true Beatles Rock Band experience up to $450, and that's not counting extra microphones. I'll probably just use the instruments I've already purchased plus Rickenbacker for flavor.
12604  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA} Come out to play! The Warriors hits XBLA on: May 05, 2009, 03:06:09 PM
still waiting until September, this was first mentioned ages ago...whats keeping them?(and where the f*8k is my South Park game??)

although saying that,if it is like Streets of Rage like Bull says/and those pictures seem to show..and not the XBOX/PS2/PSP version then i maybe out anyway...dunno,i will trial the game before deciding,i loved the XBOX/PSP version

and i dont think there is just talk of a movie remake, its actually happening..Tony Scott is directing it,set in LA and somehow SWAN is in it again(Michael Beck)

no,i really didn't like the first one at all...i was looking forward to it as well, but the controls for both the sword play and the moving was annoying..i may of got an hour or two into it,maybe it got better as i didnt stick around to find out

Glad I have it downloading right now.  I knew i should have waited.  disgust

Same here, though I thought the problems were with the PC version.  MO, what sort of problems did you see reported on the forums?

It feels like there's a Sony mole messing these things up... icon_wink

the problems on the 360 version is what Farley mentioned,NPCs not reacting and achievements not appearing ...some people seem to be having a problem with a certain NPC standing still and not doing anything on the last mission(of the normal game)since downloading the DLC

Spoiler for Hiden:
Metroid Prime stands still at one of the barriers and they cant get it to move, and have tried to reload their game but to no joy

EDIT:LOL,sorry i meant Liberty Prime...i was trying so hard to not type Optimus Prime!!

EDIT;people are saying on that the achievements arent showing because Microsoft havent updated them yet..not sure what that means though
12607  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: DLC Time limits? on: May 05, 2009, 02:17:56 PM
Like Chaz-when i started to run out of space on my 20gig(really 13 gig)HDD on my 360 late 2006/early 2007,i had to delete that free South Park episode(which is no longer on the marketplace for free,at least here in the uk)
(good times with weapons-when Butters gets a throwing star in his eye and they dress him up as a dog and take him to the vets)

i was gutted that i had to delete it,i ran out of space because FF11 took up 7-8 gig...anyway,i got a 120HDD(really 108gig) last April, and only last week i was browsing all the technical crap on my account, and i saw my Download history...and i have over 1000 seperate pieces of stuff that i have downloaded from the marketplace

after scrolling through and having a bit of memory lane(oh,look there's Lost Planet 1 trailer, there's paperboy, there's Oblivion Downloads etc etc)..i came across 'Good times with weapons'...smiled and downloaded away!!!(the actual episode was in the games section and not the video section of my download history for some reason)

pretty damn handy, and funny that i have only just found the download history since i have had a 360 since dec 15th 2005!!!

So, Broken Steel is out but it sounds like there are technical issues again.  PC users can't get it to install at all and some 360 users are having problems as well, but of more of a glitch nature (NPC's not reacting, achievements not firing, etc.)  Hopefully this is fixed ASAP.

Right Kathode?

i have just gone out to get my points cards(2x2100 point cards for 30=not bad)...and i checked on first just incase, and i saw the people complaining,so i am gonna hang on awhile, but Bethesda/Kathode..i have the points and i am ready to buy the DLC,just waiting for other people to say its fine etc

Broken Steel trailer -

A word of warning -- it contains ending spoilers if you haven't seen the ending yet.  Actually it starts right out with a shot from the pivotal ending scene, so don't even click if you want to avoid that stuff smile

yeah that's the same one i saw on the xbox live dashboard (UK)yesterday or the day before, and i thought the same thing(about the spoilers i mean)..thankfully i had already finished it

really looking forward to going back,i am currently level 20,and i have a lot of side missions that i just need to go back to the mission giver and collect my XP..i have 35 quantum nucas i am gonna give to sierra, and the Reilly rangers quest with the geomapper should haul in a lot of XP,as i have just activated the level 20 explorer perk and found i was only missing a few locations

question:will the new locations for all 3 DLC packs appear automatically if you already have the level 20 explorer perk,or will you still need to 'discover' them?
12610  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (5/3) on: May 04, 2009, 09:21:32 AM
Fallout 3 DLC(all 3 packs)
and local shop is selling Halo wars for 20,so i may pick that up
12611  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Lost returns next week! [Spoilers!] on: May 03, 2009, 06:03:38 PM
well, the shit certainly hit the fan

i liked Faradays plan......i was imagining the very end of LOST because of this plan with everyone back alive and having no recollection of anything, since the plane wouldn't crash etc...and there you could have all the original cast back together again on the plane singing a song together doing what they set on the plane in the first place to do,Jack bringing his dad back Home,Kate being escorted to begin serving her time,LOL,Charlie still hooked on drugs,Locke still in a wheelchair,Jin still can't speak English,LOL etc etc....i hope the plan still goes ahead

10 days left 'til the end of season 5....3 episodes...then next February until season 6(if its like all the other seasons starting in February)

sad to see Faraday go,i just realised a week or two ago that he was the kid in Saving Private Ryan who let Joey's Psychotic Roomate(from Friends)get knifed in the chest by the Nazi,he was in shock crying on the stairs...he redeemed himself at the end of the movie though

12614  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Call of Duty [email protected] map pack 2 this June on: May 03, 2009, 02:48:53 PM
i didnt want to start a new thread as this is a rumour and could very well turn into complete and utter bullshit...but who knows

Citing a confidential source, That VideoGame Blog says Activision is pursuing licenses for Vietnam War-era music, as well as Cuban, Soviet Union and African music. They also infer that Treyarch will be the developer.

TVGB says that Noah Heller is involved with this supposed CoD 7; he was the senior producer on World at War, which is taken to mean that Treyarch will be back in the saddle. Sounds about right, as Infinity Ward is developing Modern Warfare 2, with a release date about six months out.

Of course, TVGB points out that, last year, Heller told Official Xbox Magazine that "we are showing the final battles of the Pacific and the European Theatre and that lets us put a close to the war," and "we're happy that we put the war to bed," meaning no more World War II-era shooters for them. But around the same time, he also said. "I can't say that there won't ever be a WWII Call of Duty game again."

The rumored music genres are intriguing. I'm not intimate with the history here, but if we're talking about Cuban and African music, could that mean someone's envisioning, or at least considering, CIA-type secret war operations of the 1960s and 1970s? That might expand this to Call of Duty: The Cold War as opposed to just Vietnam or Southeast Asia.

Per our policy, we've asked Activision for comment. But it's useful to remember that they and many other big publishers have a standing policy of not commenting on rumor and speculation.

Call of Duty 7 in Vietnam, Cuba? [That VideoGame Blog]

wonder if this is the start of Treyarch taking over the Call of Duty series altogether and Infinity Wards starting(or sticking to) their Modern Warfare one

it will be interesting if it turns out true, but right now....its still a rumour

what themes are you guys using currently?

a lot of themes out there that cost 250 points are far shitter than the free Nighttime theme

i have a few favourites:

Call of Duty world at war zombie theme is quite cool, night time background, with a full moon and then zombies coming after all your friends avatars

i think the UK has an exclusive Sacred 2 theme that i paid up for,and it is by far one of the worse i have seen

today in the UK,or maybe Europe we got a free Premium theme for Xtival(games and music festival),and its one of the best i have seen, makes it so your friends are all at an open air concert

here is a preview of that Xtival theme

Kerrang magazine is also giving away a free Rock Premium theme with every issue,so i will have to pick that up soon

the Mass Effect one isnt too bad either

so what have you guys currently got?

i remember there being rumours a while ago about Call of Duty 1 coming to doubt that will drop in June as well icon_evil

the thing i loved about Overlord was directing your minions about,it so reminded me of Gremlins, and made me chuckle everytime i saw them running know that i liked the game because i finished it,LOL

i went to the cinema to see the first movie(with added Roger Rabbit cartoons before the show...rollercoster rabbit or something like that...where he took Baby Herman to the fair)

and i also have it on DVD..there are a lot of reasons i like the film, the cleverness of the making of it,which this sequel will totally ruin it if they just go for computer effects...the fact that we saw a whole host of Warner Bros AND Disney characters together, the Mickey and Bugs parachute scene was great...i hope that can happen again

i do know the first film, even though it asks a question in its title, doesnt have a ?(question mark) because it is deemed unlucky for film titles to have a Question mark...weird

although i can think straight away a movie title with a question mark....'Whats Up Doc?'

also,i have this big book of film facts-and in 1988 the film in London caused outrage,as it was very windy and the wind knocked off the final letter on a downtown Cinema it then read 'Who Framed Roger Rabbi'  icon_biggrin...the Cinema in question was smack in the centre of Golders Green...a Jewish Suburb

i was also thinking of Dual of the fates from The Phantom Menace

for real swords i quite liked Aragorn Versus Lurtz in LOTR1:Fellowship,especially when Lurtz took out the elvish knife from his leg and threw it at Aragorn and Aragorn hit it away with his Sword...that whole fight(not just Aragorn and Lurtz) starting from the top of the hill was pretty damn good, and the camera swoop looking down is really cool as well

12632  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Call of Duty [email protected] map pack 2 this June on: April 30, 2009, 07:59:39 PM
3 multiplayer maps and a zombie map again

Activision and Treyarch bring Japanese Imperial zombie killing to World War II in June, with the release of the second map pack for Call of Duty: World at War.

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 delivers three new multiplayer maps and one new zombie map to Treyarch's World War II shooter. Fight for control of a river bridge in Banzai; battle across a run-down Russian train yard in Corrosion; or fight claustrophobia as well as the enemy in the close-quarters map, Sub Pens.

That's nice, but what about the zombies? Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp) is a brand-new co-op experience, with fallen Japanese troops rising to attack players in a misty swamp environment. The level features traps, flaming Hell Hounds, perk machines, and the new Wunderwaffe DG-2.

All of this, plus 10 more achievements and trophies for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 respectively.

I'm a little curious as to how the Japanese will take this new development. Previously we were just killing virtual recreations of their ancestors. Now we're bringing them back to life and killing them again? I suppose I should be thankful we're not forced to eat them afterwards.

June for me is turning into a nightmare just like last Halloween(and i dont mean those kids dressed as ghosts and skeletons)
Batman Arkham Asylum
Battlefield 1943(XBL)
Sacred 2(June 5th for UK)
Tales of Vesperia
Star Ocean 4
and now this...and no doubt that XBL COD1 will drop this month as well

i can already sense my Bank manager sending me letters

i just rebought the game today, and downloaded the DLC,but i am restarting the game(that carried on from a week after release date when i finished it)...when i turned the game on(you have to touch it in its special place),i got just under a mill from back rent

so,as i am restarting it,i havent touched the DLC,i also downloaded Lionhead diary 9....i think i will stick to my mungrel(sp?),but its cool that you can change the dog

also i was a little fuzzy on the whole future thing....i gathered it meant you could see what Albion was gonna end up like(i was pictureing a shopping mall etc)...but the footage showed that you could go back to Fable 1 town as it was,.and not how it is

so is it see the future or is it see the past,or was that the Fable 1 place done up again?

here in Britain they had a press conference on TV(i know,'cos i watched it),they said that Britain had been stock piling Anti Flu drugs(they obviously knew something we didnt)...and the actual alert level is level 4 here,6 being a pandemic

on Tuesday every household are getting leaflets(what do you call them....flyers?  BTTF) posted through their letterbox on how to deal with Swine Flu or how to identify Swine Flu

Masks aren't said to be needed by the public yet,but our hospital staff will be wearing them

In Egypt:
The Egyptian government says it has begun slaughtering of the country's 300,000 pigs as a precautionary measure, despite repeatedly stating it has no cases of swine flu.

It has spread to Asia and the Middle East as world health officials admitted the virus could not be contained.

i thought from the title you meant this T-Rex..20th century Boy

as for your question,..a few hundred at least!!!,the T-rex would think he was in a candy store, just dipping his head take a chew, come back up,use his little arms and hands to pick Bear fur from between his teeth and then go back down again...i imagine the bears couldn't do much damage down at his legs and feet as the T-Rex's skin must of been very thick...although i am no Ross Geller on the subject

it'd be a good fight though..who wouldn't wanna see this fight??
