http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361243/

now, what is the difference with The Clone Wars that just got released last year?,i know the animation is all different(CG)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185834/

..but is it a remake of the first DVDs,is it set before or after the DVDs...why the smeggin' hell did he call them the 'Clone Wars' again???...i havent seen the recent Clone Wars

this gen i have bought into all 3 consoles as usual...but with this gen i am thinking it may be the last time i do that

The PS3 and the Wii just dont get any gaming time,...because of my 360,the 360 on its own always has so many games i want that i can't get them all

do i think its getting expansive?...yes,definetly..if its getting too expansive for me on just the 360,then other people must be suffering even more

next gen,i am gonna buy the xbox 3 as soon as i can...and try and stick to that one console,i feel that the PS3 and the Wii are wasted on me if i can't even find the time to get off my 360
12566  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Red Dead Revolver 2 on: May 08, 2009, 11:21:00 AM
so,is anyone hyped for this?

i downloaded the trailer from xbox live and it really gave the feel of the western,i am hoping this is more like Gun than Call of Juarez

the trailer is in here-1m31secs,if you havent seen it on xbox live

when you do download it on xbox live, the description for the trailer says it is set in the late 20th century, surely that's wrong?..the late 20th century being say 1999...surely they meant the late 19th century(i checked on the U.S marketplace as well, and it says the same thing)

this may sound a little stale but i really hope its an open world sandbox...'Gun' hit the nail right on the head riding your horse over the plains

Bethesda have now put this out on their forums

Quote
Microsoft has resolved issues users were reporting with new achievements not being reflected in their Gamerscores. Any achievements that you receive at this point should show up in your Gamerscore as well. If you’re still experiencing issues, you may need to recover your Gamertag. If you have further questions, contact Xbox customer support.

the part i have bolded means everything should be fine now....if however you started the Broken Steel stuff and the achievements didn't add, then you will have to do the delete gamertag('profile' only.....not 'profile and items') and recover(and i think you actually have to re-earn the achievements according to most people)....good for me,not so good for people who have already played Broken Steel

someone with 50k gamerscore on xbox.com says it took an hour to recover the gamertag/profile...other people with 10 or 20k less say it took 30 or so minutes

now,to me,i would buy this,it looks great!!...i dont care how many discs it needs, this looks great, shame its fake(i presume)

there is also this, supposed plans about a 360 demo,i didnt make a new thread on the matter because i still not convinced it will happen, and if it does i can only see a Disc version happening

http://dlb-network.com/2009/05/final-fantasy-xiii-demo-coming-for-xbox-360/

Quote
A Blu-ray demo of the game was bundled with the release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete in Japan last month, a move that contributed to a quadrupling of PS3 sales.

Square Enix producer Yoshinore Kitase commented to videogamer.com “The type of demo version we released in Japan, we currently have no plan of doing that abroad, partly because we are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can’t just make it available only for the PS3.  But we hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West, so that is a possibility we would like to check.”

Kitase also explained that a PS3-exclusive demo would be unfair to the Western audience that’s also expecting an Xbox 360 demo.

Supposedly this will be a 5GB demo for PSN/XBL, but downloading a file of that size would take forever, not to mention it would be extremely expensive for Square Enix, considering publishers have to pay for bandwidth costs on the PlayStation Network.

sorry Pete,i dont put them together Alphabetical i put them together by Studios(Fox,Warner etc)..as you can see 'Me,myself and Irene' is next to the other Farrelly brothers movie 'there's something about mary' which stars Ben stiller, who is in 'Dodgeball' which is next to that...i do try and find a link, but only if they are studio related..and no,but i have no excuse why Road to Perdition is there

the only complaint i have for doing it this way,is my Terminator(MGM,Momentum,Columbia) or Evil dead trilogy are all over the place icon_biggrin

another reason why i hate number 2 that i just remembered

the whole 'Frolicking in the meadows' scene with Anakin and Padme...good god, that had to be the lowest point in the 6 star wars films whether you liked number 2 or not...you can't deny that, surely!!!

i still havent played this yet after downloading the 3 DLC

some people who's achievements havent appeared are deleting their profile (and just the profile, not profile and items)from their 360 and then recovering their gamertag..and then if they play through the missions again the acheivements appear as normal

i think i will wait to see what Bethesda/Microsoft say on the matter,i have a lot of other games to keep me busy at the moment

EDIT:Kotaku are saying the PC version is back up now...and the comments people are saying that the achievements unlock properly now, unless you have already started it and 'earned' and achievement already..those still wont unlock unless you recover your gamertag..or wait for MS to fix it...but if you havent started it,you should be good to go....ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE ON COMMENTS PAGE OF KOTAKU!!

These movies had so much potential - Lucas just wasn't up to the task. There were some great scenes in each movie, but on the whole the first three films had a depressing number of flaws. I'm left with just Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back as the two films I really enjoy watching. I was never a big fan of Return of the Jedi or Phantom Menace (except for the Darth Maul fight at the end). Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith are watchable, but definitely flawed. The cartoons are actually pretty good.

i actually thought Jedi was a great film,a lot of people hated the Ewoks, but there was too much cool stuff in those woods to make you forget all about them.....the chicken walkers and the speeder bikes are some of the best stuff in all 6 films, and the opening half hour of Jedi(rescuing Han Solo) is one of the best first half hours put on film!!

Simon Pegg From Shaun of the Dead/Scotty in the new Star Trek Film summed it up best about the new Star Wars films in the TV series Spaced

this is when a kid comes into his all things SCI-FI shop and asks for a Jar Jar Binks figure(30 seconds)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUkCJDkG3fg

they seemed to of taken down all the other videos of Spaced, but straight after the above scene, you had this one(Tim being Simon Pegg)..and there are always lots of other star wars referances in the series

Quote
Bilbo Bagshot: The Phantom Menace was eighteen months ago, Tim!
Tim: I know, Bilbo. Okay. It still hurts! It's just that kid wanted a Jar Jar doll!
Bilbo Bagshot: Kids like Jar Jar!
Tim: Why?
Bilbo Bagshot: What about the Ewoks? They were rubbish! You don't complain about them!
Tim: Yeah, but Jar Jar Binks makes the Ewoks looking like... fucking Shaft!

Star Wars for me:
V
VI
IV
III
I
II

as for Rocky
I
II
IV
VI
III
V

5 isn't really that good, the rest are good films(I and II were like one big film cut in two)

Okay....just started this game last night, and dAMN its fun!! and addictive! I love my dog, whom I've named Ceekay and play Fetch all the time with him and make him do bunnyhops.

A few things - As you reach the old guildhall the first time, there is a ches there. Pressing A tells you to go to www.fable2.com to see how to get your heroes weapons and clothing from it, but that link goes to xbox's website and there's absolutely nothing there?

Is there any reason to get people to like you throuugh emoticouns other than making them faoll in love with yo?

the emotions are i think mainly for fun...they do however give you presents if they like you,and like you say make em fall in love with you and then the follow expression then 'back to my place'<<<<try that at the Gypsy camp on 3 Gypsies at once, thats what i did and had a little orgy in a caravan(you get an achievement as well i think)

haha,i think everyone should call their dogs CeeKay now,..what a great idea!!!

as for the chest/link...its the puppet theatre link, watch the story choose etc and then get a prize
when i forst got Fable 2,the link and show wasnt working for me...however with this new playthru i tried again and got some goodies(just the day before yesterday i did this for the first time)

the link,however IS www.fable2.com

make sure you are signed in to xbox.com,there will be a fable 2 page ,set up like a notice board with 3 different things on it,one a kicking chicken game ,one about Knothole island and the other is the show you have to watch/playthru..which takes about 20 minutes, and then you get the stuff at the end, which appear in the chest in the full game

on another matter, you know how you earn money when you are not in the game?...does the time go slower when you arent playing?...its just that while i am playing i make about 1k every 5 minutes or whatever it is...when i came back to the game after not playing for over 24 hrs,i had 20k<<<thats not right is it?...i guess i am not that bothered really, just wondering
12578  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: OMG Episode III Sucks on: May 07, 2009, 08:59:18 AM
thought Episode I was so-so(podrace was amazing though)
Hated Episode II thought that was absolute terrible
thought Episode III was great, and yes i have watched it on DVD since

as for the actors i thought Ewan Mcgregor was great as playing Obi Wan,i just dont think he had the best script to work with, and Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor/Palpatine(repriseing his role from ROTJ)...Sammy Jackson was somewhat suprisingly flat

i do wish Lucas would hang up his hat on both Star wars and Indiana Jones, there was a time when he was considered to be one of the best, but his milking of these franchises have made them sour now,and therfor himself as well

i would love to see him direct something completely new and fresh,he was after all in the same filmschool as Spielberg,Coppolla,Scorsese

maybe he should stay a producer,i dunno, all i know is he needs to let go of these two franchises

is Ghostbusters worth it?.....yes,the film holds fond memories for a lot of us,and to be honest the game footage looks great

Smart move?  You think?  I think this will engender a lot of ill will, personally.  This hurts the consumer and unless Sony handed over buckets of cash, Atari, for sure.  This is, hands down, a dick move no matter how you look at it.

i would actually be suprised if SONY did hand over 'buckets of cash'..and not just because of their inability to put their hands in their pockets...but they own Ghostbusters films and franchise anyway...if they had to pay cash for this exclusivity deal then they must have some dumb advisors

i am gutted also, but as long as it is still coming to the 360(and in my region!!)..then i am fine with it..although June also lost Batman(i can hear CK mocking me already)..its still a pretty full month

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) , Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and Atari Europe today announced that Ghostbusters: The Video Game for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and PlayStation®2 is to be published in PAL territories by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in June

So only in europe and australia.  icon_confused

So Europe and Australia get only the PS3/PS2 releases and the US gets all of them?  Is that right?

thankfully no,or at least not as i understand..US no doubt will still get the PS3/2 versions at a later date(wouldnt expect it to be that much longer)

the 360,wii,DS (and prolly PC)versions will all come together for both PAL/NTSC nearer to the end of the year(Batman just can't get away from this can it?)....we here in the UK were expecting Ghostbusters June 19th for the 360(you guys it was gonna be June 16th)

EDIT:PSP version has now been confirmed for Autumn/Fall...which i can't say i have any confidence in(too soon, buggy as hell and Atari having so little time working on it doesn't work for me,they aren't exactly famous for their bugfree games)

its not bad,not a patch on part 1....instead of a massive New York City, they have smaller maps...new york was very small,Miami which is where i am now is a bit bigger, and then there is Havana...and thats it

main part of the game is just taking over businesses, and making sure taken over said business stays taken over

there is a lot of repeated missions though, with favours and what have you(bomb a depo etc)

i am only 4 or so hours in,and i am nearly done with Miami

just when something really huge could really pull Atari out of the shit, this happens...although they may not of had a chance with Ghostbusters being a SONY film(Columbia)

worse case scenario-Ghostbusters:the game becomes a PS3 exclusive
better case scenario-Ghostbusters:the game becomes a PS3 timed exclusive

it would be silly for Atari to scrap all the 360,PC,DS and the Wii versions of the game

The Sony event in Sydney is still rolling on but in espionage-like movements that would put Sam Fisher to shame, our Gameplayer staff have managed to get more breaking news through to us. This particular announcement was left until the end, and with good reason; it’s huge.

According to our guys on the frontline, Sony has made an agreement with Atari to publish the soon to be released Ghostbusters: The Video Game. While this news may not initially come across as particularly groundbreaking, it’s the implications of the late announcement that are potentially extreme.

At its most extreme, the news could mean that Ghostbusters just became a Sony exclusive product. If this turns out to be the case it would mean that only the PS2 and PS3 would receive the game, while the Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PC would be left in the dark. A less extreme implication may well be that the proposed multiplatform release date just got thrown out the door. It may still arrive on all of the announced platforms, but Ghostbusters may get some exclusive Sony time before the other platforms get their chance to wrangle ghouls. Because all good speculation comes in threes, it may also mean that a late PSP port could be added to the list, resulting in a wholly Sony exclusive release (be it timed or indefinite) across all three of its supported platforms.

It's a shame you can only have one save at a time.  I'd love to play through the game both as an evil character and as a good character simultaneously to compare results.  It's too bad that you only have one option per playthrough and all saves are overwritten rather than placed in separate slots.

you can run 2 characters at a time.  just choose 'New Game' and create the character, play and save him.   you choose continue it'll give you an option to pick either character.  I've got my maxxed out good character sitting on Knothole Island waiting for the next DCL while I be evil with my other character.

this coming Tuesday is the new DLC..i am looking forward to it as well, even though i still have the third part of Knothole Island to do(done away with the ice and sun)

i only just found that out about the seperate character saves the other day when i started it again..i had two different characters(now i have 3)

i can honestly say that the Muppet movie was not one of the three i was thinking off(no matter how many times i have seen it)

i wanted to say The Jerk because of Martins face in that picture, but it was Orson Welles in the first picture putting me off that idea, and as i hadn't seen 'Two Brains' for awhile,i chose that one(the other one i was thinking off was All Of Me)

well played Shinjin

and nice shorts Steve!!

sure the face still looks odd,but its still a big improvement..especially the nose and lip area...this kind of surgery/operation can only improve over time
it is still weird thinking that that isn't just a reconstructed face, but an entirely new face from another person..but hey,if it works

meh i have already got all the schematics unless they have added more

definetly want the puppies one, maybe the almost perfect one,but as its level 30 will that perk matter?

as for my downloading it,it took ages..i downloaded operation anchorage, which was fine,30 minutes tops..the pitt, fine 30 minutes tops...and then Broken steel took nearly 3 hrs!!...so coupled with the Man Utd match being on TV,i havent had a chance to play it yet

however,i have just checked on Xbox.com
people are now saying it may just be the first Achievement that isnt showing up(death from above)...the others are showing

i also found this, from what G4TV have said
Quote
"As far as the Xbox 360 achievement anomalies: "The Xbox Live servers don't seem to be fully synced yet with the additional achievements. This should fix itself automatically soon. People won't lose any achievements."
