there was like a 5 minute OXM video on the UK xbox 360 dashboard the week before last i think(not long before i RRoDed anyway),and it looked really cool...had an interview with ..i dunno some guy and they showed a lot of the computer wire frames that sort of thing...looks like it will be cool, showed the marines as well who are stuck in the middle of them both...so this and colonial marines i am both looking forward to

think i may get this version for the 360 when its released here in the UK next month

Collectors Edition includes:

    * Sacred 2 game
    * Double sided poster and map
    * Audio CD featuring the music of Sacred
    * Seraphim Figurine (10 cm)

as there is no guide, that map might be handy, hopefully its pretty detailed and not just showing the shape of the land, actually from that picture,it does look like its a basic map

okay fair enough on the size of the team, why they can't just get more people is beyond me...a good team leader is needed if they are scared of more poeple making the game become how they dont want it

with these games taking so long now, when it is released, after your 20hrs play..thats it until the next gen of consoles..next Team ICO game if they dont change teams or anything..will be around about 2016

i wont post anymore in this thread if you all say you don't mind waiting 5-6 years for a game,i see i am pissing a few people off

No they shouldnt speed things up, i am sick of seeing people say that. Look at how Square enix recent game that they speed up ended up ? Yeah like shit.

Devs should have their time to make the game perfect and as they want, i would much rather have a good final fantasy game every 5 years than a decent one every year. I love it when devs can do what they want and have as much time as they want to, not duke nukem style but 5 years is fine if the game ends up great.  Quality over quanity.

Team ico is a pretty small dev team but the fact that they are pretty small means that they really have a chance to work together and create something unique... This was the whole point when the team was created. Most of the guys werent even game devs before they started at team ico.

yeah and all this wait for a game that wont last 20 hrs and will be completed in a day or two....6 years and christ knows how much it costs

i will stick to the Activison and Capcom games that i enjoy half a dozen times a year, and it takes me longer to finish their games

everyones saying 'ooh look how great it looks, its gonna be great'..it bleeding should be 5-6 years jeez

i agree on the artistic side of things, but if its taking that long for a game...the wait for us,on the other side is never worth it

and how have Square Enix speeded things up?..they take more time now and their games are let downs...and decent and good aren't that different,i would rather have a decent FF game every year than a good FF game every 5 years...i would rather have the PS1 style FFs over the PS2 and beyond type FF games
12451  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Rumor/Video: [PS3] Trico - Video of Team Ico's next game? on: May 20, 2009, 11:40:58 AM
looks great

but last year it was said that they had been developing this game for 4 years,so this year its 5 years, and no doubt we wont see it this year so next year it will be 6 years....and can you honestly see the gameplay lasting for over say...20 hrs?

1 mega fantastic game every 5-6 years is nothing compared to 5-6 great games a year

they need to speed this shit up(EDIT:that goes for Square Enix and their Final Fantasy games as well)

Much-loved LucasArts adventure game, The Secret of Monkey Island, is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, it's been revealed via a rating.

A listing for the "Special Edition" Xbox 360 re-release has appeared on the German USK Rating Board - and the German's never lie.

The 1990 adventure game - which was helmed by, among others, Mr. Tim Schafer - follows the story of wannabe pirate Guybrush Threepwood as he adventures through the crazy world of skull and crossbones.

We're expecting HD visuals and plenty of nostalgia. Expect more at E3.

now i just need the other monkey island games to appear(unless this special edition somehow has all of them)..and Grim Fandango and i will be set

one more thing that really, really bugged me about the Phantom menace was how Lucas called it Episode 1 in the title(same goes for 2 and 3)...a new hope, empire and jedi weren't known as episodes 4 5 and 6 apart from the paragraphs in space...they had no mention of Episode whatever in the titles,it felt cheapened...so i just wanted it to be called Star Wars:The Phantom Menace

what happened if you were playing Knothole island in Co-Op at least one of you had to download the premium version, and the other could use the free version...as long as one of you had the premium i think you both could experience Knothole island together

you couldn't/can't however play Knothole Island if you downloaded the free version and was playing on your own

and i guess that's the same for See the Future

ive not been able to buy the second dlc yet...but the first one wasnt bad..it costs 800 points the second one is meant to be a lot better and only costs 540 points or something like that

a lot of people bought Knothole Island DLC when they were at the end of the game and thought it was very short,i however bought it when i restarted the game and you can only do segments of the DLC at various points of the game so it didn't really feel that short

dont worry too much about armour,it kind of starts to make an appearance more when you are getting more into the story

THE knothole island DLC actually has a full set of armour you can collect as you are doing the DLC missions

even though i have downloaded but yet to play Broken steel..i am very much looking forward to the new DLC packs..there were rumours that Bethesda wasnt working on normal DLC but an actual Expansion pack (Shivering isles type)

only a month between the two new DLC....Mother Zeta aliens have returned and they are pissed,LOL...i have the Alien Blaster, taste of their own medicine me thinks icon_wink..oh and maybe the aliens will bring with them some more ammo for the weapon

The wait is finally over for Playstation 3 owners, this morning Bethesda announced that downloadable content will be coming to the PS3 version of Fallout 3. They also revealed two new DLC packs for all.

Operation: Anchorage will hit the PS3 in late June, followed by the release of The Pitt and Broken Steel four to six weeks apart. In addition, a new patch will be released for the PS3 that will let gamers download and play the new DLC.

As rumored, there are also two new DLCs planned for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360:

Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content. Point Lookout will be available in late June for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Point Lookout will be available on PS3 after the first three DLCs have been released.

Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they're pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you're tough enough to survive. Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release in late July for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Mothership Zeta will be available on PS3 after Point Lookout.

Finally, Bethesda plans to release some of the DLC on disc this summer and a Game of the Year edition this October.

Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC on May 26. The Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes Broken Steel and Point Lookout on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC in August.

Retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network.

A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC.

Stay tuned for our impressions of Point Lookout, which will be playable at E3 this year.

i liked it,but here in the UK it was on at 11pm on a friday night..i have always fancied Anna Friel since she played a Lesbian in UK soap Brookside and made headlines because of it(we Brits in 1993-ish were shocked at any little thing on TV Roll Eyes )
Spoiler for Hiden:

the latest series has not had a regular slot,my mum watches it all the time, but the normal Friday night has been replaced some weeks with Movies, with no warning or explanation(kinda like how i heard Futurama was treated in the US)..but if it is on,it is that time...this week we have Unforgiven the Clint Eastwood movie on instead, again no explanation where the rest of pushing daisies is

Pushing Daisies was a very kooky kinda show,so i can see why some people may not of liked it...very strange bright colours everywhere, kinda had a 1950s American look to it in places as well,if you know what i mean

shame its been cancelled

Jeremy Brett also portrayed him more or less like that - fencing, jumping out windows, quick of wit and so on.

thats how he was in the books(with boxing as well),and although he was pretty messy at times round at Baker Street you had a sense in both the charcater in the book and Jeremy Bretts Holmes that he didnt want a hair out of place on himself...so seeing Downey Jrs Holmes as unshaven looks odd

“Squeeballs” for Xbox 360 is a unique collection of 11 motion sensing party game types. The game will come bundled with the Gametrak Freedom (also referred to simply as “Freedom”) handset utilizing PDP’s proprietary and exclusive motion based technology. Launching in fall 2009, “Squeeballs” and Freedom will bring motion-based fun and physical party play to the Xbox 360 for the first time. Squeeballs are 12 adorable, small, cuddly toy characters that are manufactured on a remote and secret island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. As part of the requirements before they can be sold to happy children around the world, Squeeballs must be fully put to the test…to the point of destruction! That’s where the gameplay begins. You will blow up, cook, slice, bat, bowl, shoot and skim the Squeeballs through over 150 mini-game challenges, all the while using the Freedom motion handset to pull, stretch, throw, spin, shake, weave, fly and slide your way through the games. The game is primarily targeted for children 6 to 13, but is designed to also appeal to the Casual Game and Family Game genres.

    * Feeding Frenzy – Fire the correct Squeeballs at the hungry El Toro’s or they will eat you.
    * Cannon – Swing the racket at the Squeeballs as they are fired at you. Accuracy and distance are key.

how deaf am i?...well i couldn't hear a f**king thing that was being said on that trailer, even with the sound turned up

Typical Willem Defoe getting his end away again, seems like its only the Spider-man films where he hasn't had a sex scene

this may very well be in the wrong section, and when i do a search for Xi i get Final Fantasy XI

Xi is greek i think and its pronounced Zee apparently..kinda like the X in Xylaphone

Xi is a strange little game that you access through Playstation HOME...its a little strange, its kind of a puzzle mystery game

there is some grafiti in the central part of Playstation HOME(you know with the access to the bowling or the shopping mall)..and when you approach this grafiti you get transported to another place called The Hub,and there you have lots of puzzles to do,the first puzzle was to find 3 pieces of scrap paper in the Hub that made up a logo..then you get to go on the Computers, solve a puzzle there, get a password, and give it to the Robot behind The Hubs elevators, and thats when it all starts properly

i have just started this yesterday, and i am a little overwhelmed...but being the cheater i am,i found This Site that gives you the full walkthrough,so if i get stuck i will be looking at it

not even sure if this is available on the North American HOME...so,have any of you given this a go?..i'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it
