- the actor playing Kylo Ren seemed like a terrible choice, he always seems like a whiny loser to me.

As I said to another friend who kept complaining about Kylo, look at who his grandfather and uncle are, and you'll realize the whole family is generations of whiny losers.  So in that respect, they chose pretty much perfectly lol.

+1 for reals.

I heard another interesting theory:

Spoiler for Hiden:
Supreme Leader Snoke is a clone of Luke made from his hand that they recovered along with the lightsaber.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I also wondered if he was a clone, but I thought it was the emperor, not Luke.  In the official art of the force awakens book, they said the design of Snoke they went for was supposed to *not* look like the emperor, to distance the big bad from that trilogy and this one.  I think he still looks old and decrepit, like the emperor did though.

There are only X-Wings and TIE Fighters in this movie when it comes to starfighters, but these aren't the same models from the old movies. The X-Wings are pretty similar in most regards, but are now so effective that they're probably the standard fighter for the Resistance, whereas X-Wings were in limited supply back in the Rebellion era. The old model was the T-65B, while this new one is called T-70. The biggest difference between the two models that I can see is that the T-70 features an underslung blaster cannon that the pilot can aim independently of the ship.

The new x-wings have a split engine with one half on each wing.  The old ones were not like that.

Yeah, I wasn't really looking at visual qualities when I was writing that. I'm more into the technical specs. smile

Trivia: The new X-Wing look is actually based on the original sketches for A New Hope, so in some ways it's the old X-Wing look.

Yep!

My GOTY is Mad Max.  I loved how they handled the license.  The visuals, ground and car combat were really fun.  The repetitive nature did not bother me so much.  It was the most fun I had gaming this year.

It was amazing and worth the wait.  Let's get to it shall we?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Rey is.....Luke's kid?  Too many connections.  Dropped off on desert planet.  Good pilot and mechanics.  Looks just like young Leia and Padme.  Had flashbacks when touching the lightsaber?

I actually thought she was gonna be a solo kid too, so that surprised me.

Some fuck face spoiled the Kylo Ren thing for me months ago, really chaps my hide, but I still had fun with it.

Snoke is who?  Emperor clone?

Han Solo rocked it.  Every line of his was perfect and I am sad that he had to go.

That's all I can think of for me.  Just really loved it and can't wait to go back!

Spoiler for Hiden:
You're right about too many connections.  I also worry that Finn is force enhanced, explaining why he is the only stormtrooper, apparently in history, to overcome his conditioning.

Spoiler for Hiden:
I didn't even think about Finn being force sensitive, but I guess it makes sense too

This has turned into my GOTY for this year.  I absolutely love this game.  They totally nailed the license to a T.  The visuals are great, the combat is fun, the car combat is really fun.  It just really feels like you are playing a Mad Max movie.  I read some reviews after to see what the gripes were and I can see the issues with repetition.  I only really didn't like the mine sweeping parts.  The rest of them I really enjoyed and wished there was a way to do convoy attack runs on the fly.  I had waited for black friday for this to go on sale and now I wish I had bought it day one.  Great game!!

I am having a lot more fun with Supremacy mode.  Walker assault wasn't doing it for me.  Love the Fighter Squadron still too.  Needs more maps though, 4 maps is silly.  Wish there were more weapons and customization options too.  I think it's lame they locked the rebel alien species way down starting at level 40.  Hope it has legs and the expansions are good.  I fully expect it will tie into the new film.  I know the first free one deals with Jakku, but still 29 years before TFA.

Anyone playing want to comment on gameplay?

Most of what I have read is giving pretty mediocre reviews and questioning longevity for a primarily mp game.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

The gameplay is extremely shallow and repetitive.  I was expecting battlefield with a star wars theme, but it's very basic gameplay.  The reviews that call out the game for mediocre gameplay are right on, in my opinion.  It does look and sound beautiful though.  And I do like the spaceship combat mode, even though reviews don't seem to keen on it.  Missed opportunity for sure.  Seems like it was catered to a more casual, wide reaching target group.

Jed York and Trent Baalke need to fucking die.

yep.

I don't blame the coach, I don't fully blame Kap or the O-line, this all stems from York and Balke which caused the mass exodus.

Stems from, but the other three aren't blameless. Kap is probably the least to blame, but he's also played even worse than expected.

Kaep shares some blame, but I agree that he is least to blame. He does have raw physical talent as a QB. Problem is that the environment and coaching have pretty much destroyed him mentally. The way they are going, he's going to get cut or traded by next season and I bet if he goes to a good team who knows how to develop him he will eventually be a good QB. If there is any poetic justice, he'll come back as the QB for another team and shred the Niners.

Everything else about the Niners is a flaming train wreck. A head coach in way over his head, but to be fair he was set up to fail miserably by management. The GM is bizarrely afraid to talk to the press and hasn't drafted well, wasting picks on redshirted injured players. The owner however deserves his own special place in hell. Letting go the best coach they've had in a generation over ego and butt hurt feelings. Plus he's a hypocrite. Win with class? Ha. Yeah tweeting a post throwing your coach under the bus after a loss is real classy. The most laughable thing is him saying fans should hold him accountable since he is the owner. Yet he's completely disappeared this season.

After all the depressing losing seasons between Mariucci and Singletary, I can't take any more of the loser culture under the Yorks. Niner football is dead to me until they sell the team, which will never happen since they got their shiny cash cow stadium.

Flaming train wreck is letting them off easy.

I haven't really done much with Watch OS 2. I need to look for some native apps. I was already incredibly fond of my Apple Watch. However, I hate hate hate how the Utility Face complications are now in color. I've had to switch to a different face to get my monochromatic complications back. Bad move, Apple.

Weird I've seen this from a couple blogs.  I thought it looked good!  I suspect they will add the monochromatic back at some point.

I have started using the watch again more with os2, but I don't really see much difference in performance.

There are also several other quality of life functions Kanaiís Cube can perform, such as removing the level requirement from an item, converting gems and crafting materials from one type to another, and converting a set item to a different piece of that set.
