1161  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Impressions on: March 29, 2006, 05:57:51 AM
Holy crap!
do you know I have been adjusting the hell out of my computer for the past few days trying to figure out why I am getting missing text (Spoilers)
I finally came to the conclusion that
1)Knight Shade erases them after a while out of respect for others
2)Gaming trend has a bug that needs to be fixed.
Call me R-Tard.
My one year old was fooling around with the mouse while I was reading and like magic words appeared in the spoiler box. Holy shit the kid is a genius.

Somebody let me in on the secret. How do you make the spoiler box?
That so beats the 20+ dot clicks down. Freaking awesome.

OK, sorry to break up the tread, but I am tripping.

1163  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Freaking Great... on: March 25, 2006, 05:24:33 AM
Dudes.....Dudes.......Dudes....... Like we speculated....Multiplayer is where it is at.

London actually looked great on the original. You know what It was so intense I have to go back and see if they fixed the motion blur because I did not notice it.

I play for 30 min on live with a quick match the first time on we got dropped with in 30sec. the host figured it was his fault.
The second time with standard death match it was all good. You have like 5-7 planes open maybe more and it pits in the air right into action.
The loops and turns people trying everything to avoid getting shot down flying under bridges, between buildings and like 10ft off the ground. Awesome.
I wish you got a kill point if you caused someone to crash like burnout. That would have been great. cause people was hitting into building and trees while follow me to shoot me down I truly thing for all that work on evading I should be rewarded. I haven't touch the single player because I have to put at least a hour in on Oblivion.
It is worth a rental.

Looks like I the only idiot that got Blazing Angels.
I almost don't want to open the package now and just return it for the God Father (PC). It seems like my $39.99 was not such a good deal after all.
1165  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Blazing Angels Demo on Live... on: March 23, 2006, 03:24:30 AM
Just got done with the BA demo. So... so far I think it did not transition well from the Xbox (original Slated for) to the 360. When the developers made the decision to go 360, it obviously did not include what we the next gen. owners would spend $60.00 on.

First Look: Graphics sucks. the background animations STUPID.  PLAIN STUPID. so SNES. Flight simmers will quickly get turned off from the get go.  Bite you tongue and play on.

Game Play: Fun lots of fun and all the ugliness seems to fade away when you start to zero in on your targets. Think Tunnel vision literally. This is good considering all the visual draw backs this game has.

When you are hit/damaged you hit the left D pad and your mechanic will tell you what damage you have suffered then a mini game will ensue where you push a series of button combinations (thing God of War) and you will be all fixed up. Its will be your pilot switching from a main line to an auxiliary one. I was lucky enough not to have gotten shot down, but I am curious to know what will happen if any of my auxiliaries got hit. I also would have liked to experience some sort of fling difficulty when something is damaged.

I was really focused on the game when it came to the missions and forgot about the hideous speed blur, and graphics. One thing mattered. Staying alive and taking out the enemy before they got me.
Oh the wing men and supporting pilots really do put out in the game. There was one point about a dozen or so plane flew in, and I was so focused on one by time I got him the support pilots had taken out the rest.  cool stuff.

Will I buy the game? yes This game has a lot of potential in live.

just got off the phone with my Walmart.
Me> are you having a 12am release for Oblivion?
clerk> Not at 12 because the trailer wont be open until 1am or so
The game might be ready to break by 2 or 3am. Just check back
in the morning, like after 7am. If it is not out by then it will be
about 4pm for the next truck to unload.
Me> OK  frown

1168  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Impressions on: March 20, 2006, 03:49:55 AM
The hunt is on. I will start at 12am tonight. for some strange reason my local Walmart is big on gaming, and you can often find new releases at 12am although they will only have 12-15 copies.
Going to play G.R.A.W. until then.

What are the advantages of getting an LCD HDTV vs. the fat HDTV (regular)
I've noticed in my local EB the DOA demo had what looked like a outline around the characters. The employee said that how LCD look.
however at the other EB that has the samsung flat 360 unit there was no outline. this was for the CoD demo and King Kong. I have yet to see a game played on the regular (fat boy) HDTV.
I get my taxes back any day now so how big and how cheap can I go?
1179  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Marble Blast Online Rocks... Who's got it?? on: February 06, 2006, 04:35:37 AM
My kids like the single player, and its fun, but multi seems like a complete blast.

I am glad to hear that.
While I was checking my scores on live, your left me baffled. What I completed in under 1 min. took you 11-17min.
I was a little worried there buddy.
1180  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Marble Blast Online Rocks... Who's got it?? on: February 05, 2006, 04:15:20 PM
I played it for a few hours last night, and I did enjoy it. Might just be my first arcade purchase.
Microsoft are real geniuses with live and the hole arcade thing with the demo and stuff you really forget how little is out there to play right now,
or it might just be me.
1181  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / God Bless Gamefly!!! on: February 03, 2006, 03:48:52 AM
Dead or Alive 4. I swear, what are those monkeys at Team Ninja on? Speed? Crack? Their games have become insanely hard lately! I don't remember DoA3 or even DoA Ultimate being this hard or frustrating.

Are you kidding me. I who really is not into fighting games, but buy the MK series just to get humiliated by the PC and everyone else.
Have come to find DOA4 very easy, especially to jump into and get going.
I beat it with every character in two days. I must however agree the blocking and countering is all luck of the draw for the player.
I would suggest giving it another go around. smile

1184  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / My live membership reallly making me happy on: January 26, 2006, 04:41:58 AM
For the past year I live and was like...uh I get this for free on ps2.
plus I could never sink up with anyone I knew personaly or from the forum.
Since I got my 360 I have been very, very happy with live.
Normaly I go on line and the first topic have you played  x Demo?
Then got to run out and pay $10.00 for a mag just for the Demo.
This is after searching for ever to find one that did not have the disc stolen ot of it.  Life with 360 and live just hit the market place and 30 min later I am playing the FULL AUTO demo. biggrin

With all I have downloaded I have already have my money working for me. I save on rent before I buy due to instant access demos.
And live Arcade is cool.

The only mistake I made was giving my boss my live name. Now when I call out I cant play on live because I logs how many hours ago I was on.

Just like I tried to find him today to no avail, only to come home and find out he was playing DoA 4 during his scheduled work time.

Double edge knife.
1185  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / How is the XBox 360 on a Non-HD TV? on: January 24, 2006, 04:10:03 AM
I am on a 19" SDTV, and it look better than anything I ve played on that TV to date.
When I first took my system home I seriously had to go back to EB twice just to comepare my CoD2 (SDTV) and their CoC2 (HDTV) I was pleased to the point I actually figured I dont need an HDTV right now.

I am still getting one though basically for the wide screen. Tongue
1186  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Call of duty on: January 23, 2006, 06:28:40 AM
I just got done with CoD2 and was wondering if I should trade it in for perfect dark?

for some reason I cant really find a good game on live. And quick matches comes up with no results everytime so for me the life of this game is over.

Open for suggestions.
1187  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Revolution Before Turkeyday on: January 23, 2006, 03:15:45 AM
I've been a fan of nientendo up until the cube.
When sega consoles were revolutionise the industry I stood with the N dogs. PS1 in all I was all 64. and so was alot of people and industry.
Then came the (then next gen) PS2, XBOX and then the Dolphin AKA Game Cube.  which had about twice the amount of games the 360 launched with for the first half of its life. Not impressive at all.
Then they come out at E3 2k5 talking about revolution.
Internet access
The new one hand controler
DVD player with
Download all of past N system libary.

Where is the Revolution?
Internet access. Dream cast started this Xbox made it perfect and 360 added an extra layer of icing on the cake. No revolution here
Download and emulator for all of the big N past games.
I get them on PC for free and Live have retro games too.
DVD player with attachment? been there
The one hand controler anyone with kids or disney movies knows it is nothing new the second disc you get with these DVD  try one you will see what the arrows on you DVD remote is for and enter or sel to punch shoot ect.   no revolution there either.

They should just sell the damn thing for $50.00 espically if they are going to charge you for all the retro games you download.
Hell $300 is to much to pay just for Zelda.

Could you imagin Big N going software like sega and Atari?\
Mario, espically Mario cart on live, metroid, Zelda on the new gen(real next gen.) system sales will be thru the roof.

Any how I will buy a revolution when it comes out because The big N is great to send the kids too when the big boy are playing game could get pretty roudy. They should change the name to the ......NTM.
Neintendo's time machine.

Its like mike tyson going for his championship titles back.
We love to watch um read um but aint no one risking beting on um.

Love peace and hair greace  Tongue

1189  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / What to get on: January 13, 2006, 01:46:01 AM
With FN3 and saints row paid for and Call of duty as the first game to purchase for my 360 I need one more game to hold me over untill 2/15/06  What should it be?
I am leaning to PGR3 however on medium in the demo the lead car seems tobe very fast and if not taken on the first lap then forget it.
How is the real game playing out for this?
Then there is madden 06
and 2k6 NBA
what is a must have right now?
Bunout and full auto will be pre ordered this weekend.

I got burnout revenge, and battlefront 2 for xmas and have been enjoying the hell out of them. Now today at work my I was informed by EB guy that my system will be in on monday. not expecting to get one till march so I dont even have my HDTV yet. but worst of all the libary for the 360 still is not appealing to me even worst now I have to down grade these game to PS2 because I really dont want to give them up yet. could someone save my nerves and tell me BF2 and Burnout is compatable with the 360.
1195  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / XBOX360 &TV? on: November 20, 2005, 01:57:40 AM
I am round to for my Box which will be about 2-3weeks after release.
So after reading Hertz reviews and recommendations for a wide screen HDTV I started doing some shopping on line. To only be baffeled by this 1 phase.
   "HD ready TV."
    Digital Cable Ready--- No
HD-Ready: Fully capable of high-definition display when connected to an optional HDTV source (over-the-air, satellite or digital-cable set-top box). Conventional analog TV reception is provided via a built-in NTSC tuner.

WTF is this saying?
All I want to know will my 360 be shown in HD right out of the box on any tv that says HDTV or ready.
What do you all recomend? I see a few between $450-$700 30-40inches
Is this good?

I want to know how free you actually are to make movies in the game.
Would it be possible for JAWS to return.
Or maybe Top Gun (the Baghdad invasion)
Or Back to the future
maybe even a CAT7 end of the world.
or weekly series like Raymond (Desmond), Friends (Associates).
Or even a good old blue movie (Girls going wild).

Or am I just picking some pre made sceens and pasting them together and adding voice overs? That would suck ass big time.
