Wow, thats' terrible.  Do you think any future Blu-Ray players will allow people to skip that junk?  That's just wrong.  and who's going to Pirate Blu-Ray disks anwyas?  That'd be more trouble/expensive than buying the disks on sale.

Why did they use a plastic clip?  When I had my gall bladder surgery they went in a sewed everything like crazy.  But then again, that could be because my liver and pancrease are dying?

Wow he looks really stupid - as in, he looks like Keanu Reeves in Bill & Ted's Adventure but with fake muscles.  I'm 99% positive he's got latex muscles glued to his abdomen.

I know nothing about weaponology - in fact, at first I thought that picture was a paintball gun.  What was it?  Looked scary powerful.  And nice pics!

In case anyone was wondering... double lumen port-a-cath.  I've often thought it'd be fun to turn them into two loopy dragon eyeballs or something - of course about time I'd do that, it'd probably get clotted/infected and need to be removed.

Sweet man, we've uncovered Saquatch!  And his name is Brian!  hehe

Nice tattoos though, and your wife has some awesome ones as well.  Love the turtle and the Maiden.  Would she be upset if you posted a normal picture of her?

I don't have a tattoo, but I do have this:

Leave it to ATB to quote the Bible.

Poor form to quote it without actually giving the book, chapter, and verse, by the way.

Oh, and as everyone else has said: do not sleep with her!

I don't see a post from ATB.  Did he delete it?

Happens all the time.

Be glad your car wasn't egged in the middle of winter like our was... when I was in the hosopital. Totally destroyed the paint job and made our nice looking car go from nice, to trailer trash car.  Insurance would not cover it since we had PLPD.

I've also had smashed windows at 3 locations over the years.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/07/23/sex.offender.teacher/index.html

In a nutshell, he lets a convicted rapist (child molester) go free on bond AFTER he's been convicted (it's been a year since the trial finished).  The sicko is a flight risk, he's a predator, and there's no way in hell with the evidence against him that he will be found innocent.  Yet this horrific judge decides to let him be free with just a gps ankle device.  I am so disgusted and furious about this it makes me sick.  Maybe one of the lawyers on the forum can step in and say why the hell this guy isn't behind bars where he's supposed to be.  And also, shy the f*** he didn't get life in prison.

ALSO.. the judge did not order this guy to stay away from other children. GET THAT?  He is free to interact with other children!!!!!!  WTF?!?!?!

Here's a picture of the Monster's best friend: the smug Broward Circuit Judge Marc Gold

and it actually worked for you?  Maybe it didn't for us because our cat is big at ~12 lbs?

Why is shaving the cat the solution?  I've been told that's a bad idea.

If the cat is having furball problems, there is a paste product you can get that they love that helps them digest them correctly.

We've done that and also tried a lot of different foods specifically for hairballs and senstitive stomachs.  She's always been like this and summer is much worse (she's an indoor cat).
18  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Good shears so I can shave my cat bald on: June 30, 2008, 06:34:22 PM
My cat has been shedding and barfing up hairballs like theres no tomorrow.  I looked into getting Petco to shave her and it'd cost $70.  $70 dollars?!?!?!?!?!  Yikes, I'll just do it myself thank you.  So last year I did it, but with $20 clippers made for human hair it was terrible.

I'm guessing for the cost of taking her to the groomer just once I should be able to get a good pair of shears for this?  Any suggestions?

This is the mess the last shears made because I could only get it off in tiny chunks.

When was it Hollywood decided it could just create a "do-over" of a film that was released just a few years prior?  It's kind of odd if you think about it.  Also, what's that say about the directors and actors from the first version?

29  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Does character matter in the NFL? on: June 05, 2008, 06:42:20 PM
Character is extremely important.  Would you want to do teamwork with a wife-beater who is an ass-hole to everyone to boot?  Someone who thinks they can do what they want and not stand up for the same societal values as everyone else should - all while making millions and millions of dollars?  No.  Not only that, they have an honororay influence on kids because of their well-paid positions and should take pride in being good role-models - or at least be neutral if they don't give a crap.  Just don't set negative role-model incentives - like Amy Winehouse and the young girls who adore her.

BTW --  are we sure Hybrids aren't worth it yet?   48 MPG versus the 34 MPG I'm considering in the MINI.    Everyone I talk to seem to tell me the maint cost + potential battery replacement + other factors make it not make sense.

What do you spend on gas per year? What would you spend on gas per year if you had a Prius? Do the math.

For example: I drive about 7500 miles per year getting about 25 mpg on 87 octane. We'll call gas $4/gal for simplicity's sake. My annual gas expense in this situation is $1200. If I could double my mileage to 50 mpg, my annual expense would be $600 for a massive savings of $600. If I'm going to pay $6000 extra for the hybrid, including initial purchase and maintenance, it would take 10 years to recover my investment, ignoring lost investment potential of that money. Conclusion: The hybrid is not a good investment for me personally.

34 vs 48MPG is an even smaller margin. If you drive a lot of city miles, the payoff is there. If you don't, it probably isn't.

Except gas will not stay at $4.00 per gallon.  Try doing the math at $6.00 per gallon which is more realistic.  You forgert there's 2 billion extra people courtesy of India, China, and Indonesia who are sucking up all the gas.  Things are only going to get much, much worse.

Chris what kind of mpg do you get on that?  How much was it?  Can you carry like 3 full paper bags of groceries?  Can you ride it in the rain?

When my card dies I'd like to get something that gets like 80 mpg, but maybe something like that is sinane for somone in Michigan.  YOU can put chains on the tires, right?
