Honestly 13-2(srsly this is getting ridiculous with this numbering scheme Square) looks pretty good. Also, if I remember it won't be main stream entry every few years as well. Their 6 year dev cycle can't support the company most likely. Look show polarizing 13 was received. It's like a love/hate thing out there. Now make a new tactics, square. and metal you're right. square enix is dead. they dropped the enix from their name about 6 months ago

Hmm, if only the game had an offline mode. But who would ever need that. yup, who boots up a game and disconnects from the internet, good question indeed.

Ok how in the hell are folks killing dragons?? I am currently playing a Nord Shield + 1-hander and I cannot find a viable strategy for dragon slaying. I attempted the first dragon via main quest line at level 5 and died at least a half dozen times before finally beating it and truth be told I didnt really do much as the NPC's did all the damae and I just landed the killing blow. I am now level 7 and have come across another dragon out near Eldergleam and with just me and Lydia I have died 5 or 6 times and I have yet to hit it once!! One shot of dragons breath does 70-75 damage which is half my total health at the moment. The dragons arc of fire is about 120 degrees so trying to attack from the side is useless. This particular dragon is actually using a smarter AI and simply strafes the area with firebreath from the air. I am unable to dodge or block the breath attack so I am instantly at half health if and when it does land by the time I race up to smack it I get hit with another gout of flame and die. Conversely in one or two of the reloads the dragon chose to land... I ran over to it taking a face full of fire then it immediately launches into the air... lands again I run over .... it launches into the air etc. etc. I've tryed using terrain as cover which helps a bit but I still take splash damage WHICH then sets me on fire anyway. What is the strategy for dealing with this, my biggest issue is how to avoid the breath attacks and still be reasonably close enough to engage it after its finished spewing fire.
get restro healing. I don't see why any char wouldn't want it. It's good for anyone with more perks than just healing. When he breaths fire just heal through it. It should keep you up, if you do get low just pot. I have 140hp as a mage and this works more than fine for me. Remember to sprint to the side too you should get out of it before he stops. run for the front legs. Also, get a horse. they are a beast of a tank. Deck your follower with some awesome weapons and armor. I have a nice fire sword for Lydia that destroys. She one or 2 shots regular mobs as it is. Or just roll a mage. I am blasting through mobs. My first death in forever was last night because I didn't know a lich was going to pop out when I learned a shout word. Upon reloading I setup and destroyed him in 30 seconds lol.

Well I've been using my fire since tuesday too. I have a touchpad, but the android is very basic since it's alpha by CM team.
I was looking for something smaller to read on while still having the ability to function as a sort of tablet. I knew the fire wasn't the best thing ever like every review is comparing it to the ipad for some reason. That said, the games I've played worked fine, web browsing was fine(Mine isn't slow at all) and reading is fine. I never used a regular kindle so I can't compare to e-ink, but reading on the LCD is fine for me. Video play back seemed ok too, but I honestly didn't buy the device for that, I've seen some people have blurry pictures but i haven't experienced it.
The tablet is fast, the touch is a bit janky sometimes, but even my touchpad is the same. the UI is very friendly. Things are clearly marked on your home screen and you can pin favorites to your default screen. The one issue I have is wifi drops out when you turn the screen off. I understand to save battery life, but I really wish this was an option. wifi only takes a few seconds to pop back on.
I'm happy with it. It does what I wanted it to do. I almost canceled my preorder when the rumor about the 10 inch tablet was surfacing, and I don't doubt it one bit, but I honestly like the size. It's way easier to read and hold than my touchpad. The weight is only 12oz I believe, very light weight. The sides are easy to grip and I can even hold it with one hand if I want. 10inch would have been too big imo.

What mages really need, is a ten second invulnerbility shield, that will allow you make epic stands, instead of the backpedalling while waiting for mana to regenerate. The end result is the same, its just feels more epic to be able to stand and deliver punishment instead of looking like a circusclown running in circles.
get the stutter perk and never worry again. only time i have issues is when i run out of magicka and didn't notice in time.

This article on RPS really hits the nail on the head for most of the interface issues. They are so obvious and annoying that it baffles me how Bethesda could let this ruin the user experience for such a great game. consoles man, consoles. Really not much of an excuse considering Bethesda has made several games for both PC and consoles and I'm sure they have heard the concerns. In comparison, I had no control issues with FO:NV on PC. I've gotten used to it but I think it hurts the game that I have to pause to change my favourites in the middle of combat. It could all have been very fluid with better keymapping support. Why is there only 1 key for shouts and skills? 9 hotkeys is too few for a game with so many powers. The inventory seems like it is designed by someone who hasn't played an RPG in 20 years. Ah well, still a great game but we just have to live with some stupid stuff since it seems like Bethesda just doesn't care. those UIs weren't the greatest either. I'm sticking with consoles because the truth comes out soon or later that they spent more time with that version. They just make the UI the same across the board. Same bullshit that happened with borderlands. we were promised a pc version proper and got a fucking console port again.

Sorry, but it's flat out wrong. Screw the world of retail noise and other bullshit...there are certain days that a department store should be closed. Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are two of them. Anyone who thinks otherwise is part of the problem. Choosing to work on one of those days is just that...a choice and should not be mandatory. I personally refuse to shop anywhere on either day regardless of the sale or awesome amazing once a year prices. What the hell happened to companies even having a shred of common decency.
yup, as someone who worked at mcdonald's and walmart through HS and college this is 100% true. These people aren't below you. They are human beings with families. I'm sure they have relatives travel in as well. Hell, I don't even work retail and my company is a 24 hour 365 day operation(even tho no banks are open, bah). Shit man, black friday isn't even the busiest shopping day, xmas eve is. There is no reason other than corporate greed. Good on these guys for finally taking a stand. Retail treats you like crap, pays like shit and has next to no benefits. Fuck. I had to EARN vacation at walmart and got nothing at mcdonald's even has a shift manager. You guys should be saying boo-fucking-hoo to the store, not the employees for wanting to be treated like humans.

I know it would be almost impossible given the limitations of such a huge, open world, but I really miss the combat of Dark Souls. I would kill to have that in Skyrim. While I'm still enjoying the game a great deal, the combat is less about tactics and more about button mashing. Also, mobs are either too tough or too easy so far (lvl 12). I moved the difficulty from master to expert because I was getting one shot kills against me by almost everyone, but it's not just clicking for me. Maybe a half mage/half warrior path is what's causing me issues?
this game has been crazy easy so far for me too. Dragons are so easy, lighting bolt tears them apart fast. ice keeps them nice and slow.

Quick question. I have learned two shouts, but when I click on them it says I require a Dragon Soul. Well, I have 3 or 4 Dragon Souls. How many do I need for a shout?
When you click on a new shout, you should see an option titled, "Unlock". Select unlock (X button the 360 controller I think), the game will ask you if you are sure, and then you can spend 1 dragon soul to unlock the selected shout. It took me a moment to figure that one out. wow wtf is this never explained? I had no idea either. I figured I had to progress the main quest or something. Also kept wondering why I was getting dragon souls and not unlocking them.

a few tips to make some money if you want a house.
you can sell your dragon bones since the dragons are infinite. also, if you goto the mine north of winterhold(you'll have a side quest to kill a guy there too). you'll find a transmute spell, a pick to mine and lots of minerals. transmute those to gold, make gold ignots and make jewelry then sell it. it won't make you rich quick, but it's basically free money.

Joined the mages last night. Pretty cool quest line so far. I stopped to catch up on a few other quests for now. Up to level 8 now and destruction is starting to rock faces. I have a 250 magicka and that doesn't even seem enough if you dual wield. Guess I gotta do a few shots then back to single shots.
Lightening bolt is crazy OP against other mages since it damages hp and magicka. A few shots of that, especially dual wielded and they can't cast shit.
And yeah, the low sound is very annoying. I turned on sub titles because of it.

I'm liking this game way better than MW and Oblivion. It does have it's quarks but mods will fix them soon enough.
I made a high elf for a magic user. She is destroying so far and I'm only at level 5. So far I've learned 2 shouts, but can't use them yet. Soon though. I've been using a combo of fire and a sword along with a companion. The dungeons have been pretty fun so far. Especially with the trap and stuff that you can use against the enemies or yourself all the same.
Ran into a texture bug last night making some trees and armor bright purple. Seemed to come and go.

well I didn't get a chance to play last night. Stayed up until 730 and the damn download was still going. VPN was so slow.
I just finished the little tutorial thing. If you have a 360 controller hooked up the game stupidly defaults to that and I didn't see any options to change it short of unplugging. Pretty sure FO3 did this too. Stupid.
The graphics aren't too bad, but not as omg awesome as I thought they would be. I'm running high with a some sliders up too.
I like the dual wielding. It was pretty sweet in bioshock 2 too. Should add some depth.

oh shit, you can use a VPN to connect to an australian server and it'll unlock at 12am there. Just tried it and it works. 2 hours to go! https://www.vpnsecure.me/ i used that for the 2 day VPN trial for 2 bucks. just sign up and install. exit steam then connect to a server. restart steam and boom! I guess you have to stay connected(no problem there) or go into offline mode and disconnect if you want. also, wow do aussies get raped on prices.

Is there any particular new feature or two that people are excited about in this sequel? I'm excited to play this, but only because hey! Another Elder Scrolls game! I don't know what sets this apart from Morrowind & Oblivion other than graphics.
the fixed leveling system was a big factor for me. now you can dual wield spells and a sword or hell even mix n match spells now too. Not to mention the faces aren't ugly.

So I haven't been following the Skyrim bandwagon and I'm sure this has been answered, but what's the word on level scaling mobs ala Oblivion? I'm guessing they probably went the Fallout route and have some scaling but not as extreme?
It's the fallout system. From what I understand you can go anywhere, but some mobs may be too high for you. Like those death things almost right at the beginning of new vegas. So you should feel like you're actually getting more powerful this time around too.

I've found a lot of people aren't aware of that. Seems to be a steady supply of new people. I've stopped doing quick game and just pick a custom game. Kicking rarely happens now. Plus I've been trying to finish some challenges for gear. For the most part people are pretty chill.
My huntress at 36 now. I got a nice weapon that shoots 2 projectiles at once, just destroys. Mana is flowing in doing glitterhelm too. can easily make over 200k doing a run. Plus i've gotten some good loot too.
