1  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [TV] The Walking Dead Season 7 (Careful there will be Spoilers!) on: October 25, 2016, 02:00:46 AM
I think this had to happen for the main cast to progress. They got to a point where they were damn near unstoppable. They had nowhere to go. Negan brought them down to Earth. Now they have something to work for and there's more roomph for character development.

I will say the way they killed Glenn was mishandled. It was unnecessary to have his skull caved in, eye popping out, and mumbling incoherently. I don't mind that the character died, but the "torture porn" was too much.

Helldivers on PC and STAR WARS Battlefront on PS4. I want to start AC: Syndicate, but I just don't have the time right now.  icon_cry
4  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Are any of you specifically playing horror games since its October? on: October 13, 2015, 12:26:26 PM
I do love playing horror games in October despite the fact that I'm a huge chicken. I will try a bunch of them, but I will barely make it through any one them. So far I've beaten Until Dawn; that was fun to beat in a couple sittings with my friends. I also just reviewed The Escapists: The Walking Dead, which is definitely themed to fit this month, and that was a "horr"ible (I tried) game. Lastly, since the month is already half over, I think I might just have enough time to give The Evil Within another shot. I really enjoyed the first few chapters I played.

I'm all for giving it another shot. If they nail it, great! If they don't, oh well, I just don't play it. I really enjoyed The Evil Within and if Capcom can deliver a true survival-horror experience like that, wrapped in the Resident Evil universe, I'm all for it.
6  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: It's been a while -- (Re)Introducing the Gaming Trend Team! on: February 20, 2015, 08:19:34 PM

Hello, I can see you guys have already been circulating a picture of me (you each owe me 10 cents royalties, by the way). My name is Josh. I know what you're thinking, "wait a minute, that's a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger!" Don't worry, that's a common misconception. The Arnold you have all come to know and love is actually a marionette puppet that I created in the Jim Henson workshop. When I'm not controlling the former governor of California, I go to school at Florida Atlantic University for Journalism and write for Gaming Trend (though not nearly as much as I would like). I started here in September 2013 and it's been a great experience. Hopefully, if my schedule ever loosens up, I'll be able to commit more to the site and interact more with the community, but being on set for Terminator: Genisys is a difficult job that requires a lot of time and concentration. I'll try by best.

As for my gaming interests, I love every Assassin's Creed game ever made and I played The Legend of Zelda for the first time (and beat it) 27 years after the fact and it is one of the worst games ever conceived.

I'll be back.

You have the operating system and the hardware it functions with; all that's left is the game to play on said system and hardware.
....Half-Life 3? That was a joke; Valve will release Sony's The Last Guardian before they release they're own game. But what do you guys think? What will Valve announce tomorrow?

I just got a Wii U on Friday, so I went to Target for their B2G1 and bought Super Luigi U, Game & Wario and Scribblenauts Unlimited. Have I opened any of them? Ha, of course not.

I dig the Ryan Davis pic, I'm a big duder myself.

Finally got a little break from work, so I'll get in a game of Madden, try to finish the Splash Mountain mod for L4D2, and play some Dota 2.

I've been working non-stop all week and haven't been able to play anything, not even unopened copy of GTA V! If I can finish my work and research paper quick enough, I might be able to squeeze in some gaming by Sunday. Here's hoping for a little bit of GTA V and DOTA 2.

Hot Wheels World's Best Driver, for sure!

For real though, it's going to take a lot of willpower to not buy a Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle today. Must...stay...strong...
