You guys leave Bea alone.  She was on the Star Wars Christmas Special for crying out loud! crybaby

Didn't she sing a love song to Chewbacca or something?  I think I've permanently mentally blocked my memories of that show.

you're thinking of Harvey Fierstein...

....wait...no, that was bea arthur.

Sweet!  Now I can get all those things I wanted as a kid!  I'll just order this; then buy an original 80's version Battlestar Galactica flight jacket off ebay; hit up some conventions until i find a pair of spock ears; and take my old 25 foot multi-colored tom baker, dr. who scarf out of the closet and head down to the mall.  i'll be the most stylin' 41 year old around!

Same here.  Except for the timed mission with the dude under the overpass.

I didn't realize he was under the damn bridge the first time so failed it.  Then i retried it after getting my fancy pants motor-sickel from my safehouse.  Next time around, I just didn't slow down as i neared the guardrail over the underpass.  hit it going about 30 miles an hour, flipped off my bike through the air, and landed (with some damage, of course) about 20 steps away from him.

For LJ's package missions short cuts definitely help if you can find them (though I don't think I needed it on the first package mission).  One thing I didn't know, however, is that evidently you don't have to use the junkers he leaves you with.  Supposedly you can hop into your own quicker and better handling vehicle and still complete the missions.

I thought the package was in the car? If I get in and get out do I bring the package with me?

You want great story driven games? Buy this.

It contains Neverwinter Nights, along with both expansions, and Baldur's Gate I and II, along with both expansions. Those games alone (with expansions) will give you AT LEAST 200 hours of gameplay.

Yes, they're old. Yes, they (along with Planescape Torment) are some of the best story driven games you'll EVER play. Period.

didn't they have a black isle collection that had all those games but also included planescape at one point on gogamer?

So they put in a suggestion box in the kitchen for employees.  Primarily it's intended for suggestions on coffee flavors and snacks that people might like to have in the break room.  However, over the last few weeks I've been dropping in my own anonymous suggestions.  So far I've asked for:

1) An office Bowflex placed in the copy room so I can work on my "guns" while waiting for color copies.

2) An office "Helper Monkey" dressed in a red bellhop outfit that we could train to deliver notes to other cubicles, as well as act as our first line of defense in case of a terrorist attack.

3) An office Hang Glider that would be parked on the roof and available for employee use during lunch hours.

4) More Cowbell

Anyone else have suggestions that could turn this "workplace" into more of a "funplace"?

...and before it gets posted in a reply, no...prostitutes brandishing sparklers and wearing pasties is strictly forbidden by fire codes.

It's not that the newer stuff is better, though, it's just sad to see so many people fall into the cycle of dumping on SNL because it's become common to do so.

please realize that some of us formed this opinion outside of any social gestalt.  we honestly think the new SNL has sucked for years.  If everyone were to suddenly start thinking it was brilliant, those of us who truly dislike the show would most likely seek asylum in countries that currently do not have electricity.   icon_wink

p.s. of course i'm just teasing (for the most part).  however, i can't help but see the horrid Jimmy Fallon, those annoying cheerleader skits with the misused Will Ferrell, and the numerous attempts at trying to coin a catchphrase that overpowers everything else when i mull over SNL's recent history (recent being 10 years or less, to me).

...then again, we always should remember that the impetus behind many of my posts can be directly traced back to my childhood love of lead based paints.

But it does seem you're basing your opinions on sketches and actors that haven't been on the show in nearly 10 years.  Again, dismissing it without any current viewings to back it up.

Then, in the interest of fairness, I promise to watch it this weekend.

But I swear to God, if there's even ONE skit based around awkward teenagers running their own private video/radio/internet show out of their basement, i'm coming for you...

the level of comic genius from years 1, 2 and 3 are so far above what's been seen in the last 10 years of SNL that it's not even a contest, old boy.  sorry.

year 1 may have had its share of bad sketches...but it was SNL's first year of existence, for cryin' out loud.  they were inventing the formula that would later be butchered by people like kattan and fallon.  even then i'd still stack the unfunny ones up against anything the current regime is doing.

...the GTA sketch, for example.   slywink

as i said, there are exceptions to the rule (will ferrell), but every year i try to watch a few episodes to see how it's going and every year I say to myself, "I wonder what's on the paid commercial channel right now?".
8357  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Vlad & Niko on Saturday Night Live on: May 13, 2008, 11:45:17 PM
Yeah, Norm used to constantly tell everyone that Kattan was gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).  It used to really piss off Chris.  There's a great story about Norm and Chris that Artie Lange (one of Norm's best friends) tells about their days on SNL together.

Chris and Norm found out that the guest star was going to be Pam Andersen.  Supposedly, Chris is infatuated with her.  Everyone knows this.  Anway, they write a skit with Pam, Chris and Norm in it.  It's a riff on the twilight zone with norm playing rod serling.  All week before the show, Norm leaves Chris alone and doesn't say a word to him.  Finally, they begin the live shoot of the skit they're in together.  10 seconds before they're supposed to start the skit and switch cameras over to them, Norm suddenly turns to Pam and says, "Has Chris told you he's gay?  He's trying to tell everyone he thinks you're hot, but I don't know...I think he's gay.  Chris, you wanna add something about you being gay?"

...and bam, camera light goes on and Norm goes into his lines, "Welcome to a dimension of sound...."

Chris was pretty pissed and the cameraman almost fell over laughing throughout the entire thing anytime Chris had a line.
