I am seriously tempted by this one.  Haven't decided whether or not to bite.

I should get it by friday at the latest, and I'll play it all day with impressions unless there is a friday Halo fight night happening.

i'd be interested if it allows for extensive mech customization.  let me know what you think of it.

Last night I had a great moment in the creature phase while trying to charm another species into becoming an ally.  In the middle of the mini-game, they all just started running.  Then I heard this weird sound and suddenly some of them were just sucked up into the air.  Looking up, I saw this

It was Baelthazar's Spelljammer ship.  Quite cool, if I may say so.   icon_biggrin

Argh, now I'm feeling buyer's remorse.  I'm only at the beginning of the Civ phase, but the overwhelming negativity I'm seeing about this game on niche sites like ours is just sucking all the joy out of the game for me.   icon_frown

I actually enjoyed the "stealth scud" game.  Basically, it was rocket slayer with constant camo.  i ended up just riding the "man cannon" back and forth between the two platforms, firing like a madmen in mid air in a desperate attempt to catch anyone else using that rapid express system.

i also enjoyed teggy's strategy of waiting until i was running like hell from kato and then popping up to blast my ass with whatever utensil he had handy.  i believe he actually killed me with a spork at one point....

As a piece of comedy, I thought it was pretty funny.  As a commercial, I'm not sure what they were trying to say.  My guess is it's like the Seinfeld show all those years ago:  it's about nothing.

In order to do that, don't you at least have to get a shot off before I kill you?  Perhaps you should find something else to speak for you.  You know, something that actually has a chance to utter a sound before you're taken to the respawn screen.

Looking at those scores I'd just like to point out that halfway through the game I handed the controller to a monkey that was sitting next to me.  In between swigs from his bottle of Johnny Walker Red and a crudely implemented hand signal tutorial from yours truly, he was able to pick up the basics of the game....

...yeah....that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Why some people review games they've never even played by stating that they "suck", and then expect people to take them seriously is beyond me.   Roll Eyes

it very well might.  however, unless you're future man traveling back in time to tell us about games we've yet to try, i'd keep your posts to something more like "It sounds like something I wouldn't like" instead of "it sucks!".  you just come across as a spiteful person with a bone to pick.

I was thinking the same thing.  Even when I go so far as to purchase a series on DVD to watch at my leisure, I never seem to find that time of leisure to actually watch the series I purchased.

Most of us don't moonlight as a superhero known as "Fashionman"....

I thought it was Mister Fabulous.

Mister Fabulous was ditched after a tragic color scheme accident involving the half cape and boots.  plus, it was after labor day and the inclusion of a white logo was a big no no.  pete felt it was best to ditch the whole persona and start fresh with a hero metrosexuals could rally around.
