I wonder if you get the same urges when you read reviews around the net, and if you notice just how "condescending" people can get when they don't enjoy something.

Most folks around here don't (consistently) tell folks that they're morons if they don't agree with their view.  You really should seek out professional help.  I was sincere in my appraisal of your issues and I think you need to look into yourself to see if perhaps there's something that can be done.  You've been the object of many, many thread fights over the last year or so, both here and at OO, and perhaps it's time to accept the idea that that may be due to some subconscious need to elevate yourself at the expense of others.  If you want to be able to exist within a social environment such as an online forum without constant conflict, you're going to need to do something about the way in which you express your opinions.  Everyone argues on the 'net from time to time, but I don't think I've seen as high a number of negative reactions to a poster as you seem to collect in your travels.

You demonstrated long ago that you didn't have the kind of online personality that I would ever invest anything emotional in.

If you're investing any emotion in responses from folks in an online forum, you should probably reevaluate your participation in such venues.

Not to be a party pooper, but the little known game Ryzom has the exact same feature already included. Yeah, they got canned and just returned from the grave, but they still have the feature available.

That said - I was excited to hear that CoX was getting it back at the 4th Anniversary, and I'm still excited to get it soon.

hmm...i never played that one.  may be worth seeking out.

I love, love, love the map packs for GRAW2 that were released.  Especially the one that includes a ton of old maps from the original Ghost Recon PC series.  It brings back such fond memories when I load up those maps and try to go it alone.  It's like replaying the original series but with all the new bells and whistles.  If you haven't picked these DLC's up, I can't recommend them enough.

Heck, now I wanna organize a GRAW2 night to play these maps in MP.   icon_wink

I understand that being contrary is what makes you feel special.  Makes you feel like you're somebody.  It's oftentimes a symptom in cases of almost debilitating low self esteem.  I realize that you're driven not by actual logic or true bouts of insight, but by a pathology that dictates that in order for you to justify your existence you must belittle all others whenever the opportunity arises.

I actually am not angry or upset with you.  In fact, I pity you.  It must be very difficult for you and I can only imagine the anguish you feel when you're unable to convince others of your superiority.

I hope you someday get the help you need, truly I do.   icon_cry

No you don't, and you know it.  You're just saying that because those games were not well reviewed/liked.  Don't be such a predictable drone.  Pete's right:  you're just contrary for the sake of being contrary.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed Dark Knight. So did I, really, and I believe it's a fine film in terms of entertainment. Does it belong where the hype originally placed it (No. 1 on IMDB)? No, and you all know it. I haven't checked the score, but I'm pretty sure it'll end up below top 10 - which is somewhat more realistic.

your original statements implied that anyone who thought the story in The Dark Knight had any depth was a 10 year old child.  Now you're simply saying it's not the best movie ever made.   Problem is, no one took issue with the idea that it wasn't the greatest film ever made.  You're just hoping to get SOMEONE to agree with you, it appears.

Try this statement next:  "It's got people in it!  And there's talking!".  You may get someone on board after that.   icon_lol

Elaborate on the 10 year old moral concepts, please.

he didn't understand the actual message of the film and is giving you his view based solely on this inability to grasp that message.  therefore the elaboration will simply be an extension of that misunderstanding.  ergo:  pointless

Yeah, I do NOT look back fondly on the umpteen gates I had to close in the main quest.  What made it even more unbearable for me was that each one had hall after hall and room after room that looked exactly alike.  It was so friggin' easy to just wander in a circle for hours until you found the one right door amongst the 1200 that looked exactly the same that I almost threw my controller down in disgust more than once.    icon_mad

You can be nostalgic for your grandparents, simple living and a more innocent age without including the soul deadening aspect of Hee Haw, you know.

10 things you need to know about Fable 2.  All I know is one thing-  I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!

You're also able to choose between protected and unprotected sex when you get busy with your partner(s), the latter leading to pregnancy and children. You'll be the most important influence in the lives of your children, so if you're an evil bastard, your child will likely be a bully. If you don't treat your wife well, she can fool around behind your back and will eventually ask for a divorce - taking half your worldly possessions with her. And if your wife dies, your children will be shipped off to the orphanage. It's a cruel world.

And in a very interesting twist, if you choose to be a female adventurer you'll have to carry and bear any children you have, leaving your husband to tend the homestead.

I played the demo of this game. It was an exercise in tedious mediocrity. I'm not sure what is supposedly innovative about it. The Norse Gods being heroes is something you would find in a Marvel comic. People using swords in a world full of guns is a Jedi thing and I daresay it's even older than that (I suppose one could even point to renaissance warfare). Even having a moronic, drug-fed camera which has a fixation upon walls and the angles of uselessness is hardly anything new. Oh but wait, there's robots! Oh my, where would we have ever seen robots or cybernetic beings before? And the robots are trying to kill humans! The creativity!

I don't get it do I? I don't get it like rabid fans of the Matrix sequels will insist I just don't get those pieces of crap and their Yakov Smirnoff style philosophy. Well, I sleep soundly and untroubled by my ignorance, I'd rather not get a pile of steaming awful.

while i'm not getting the game myself until it drops in price in the used section of gamestop, i'm not sure why it seems to be evoking such vehemence from you?  did the makers of the game slap you as a child or something?   icon_lol
