Oooh, they're using a world map for the campaign like that found in Soulstorm and Dark Crusade?  I did not know that.  I was going to pass on this one, but I loves me the campaign maps.  Ever since I first encountered that feature in Rise of Nations, I've loved it over the linear mission design.

Is it just me or is Ike Duboku one of the dumbest criminal masterminds around.
Spoiler for Hiden:
The dumbass is in the US illegally, he abducts the president's husband, and then he has the nerve to have an American girlfriend who has his cell phone number. Not only that he uses her address to route bank funds, basically giving the feds a big stinking glowing red arrow pointing right to him. Dumb ass. On top of that he has the nerve to just walk around town after kidnapping the Presdient's husband. If the President was using her brain she would have issued a state, local and fed manhunt for the dumb ass as soon as she knew he stole the CIP device. Also, Jack has Duboku's cell phone number, can't they use that as a starting point to track his cell phone location via satellite?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Was he wearing a hat?  It's my experience that wearing a hat (or, in some cases, glasses) while on a television show will cause even your closest relatives to not recognize you.

On of my main problems is whenever I get in a helicopter I seem to get shot down really quickly.

I discovered that if i started zigging and zagging whenever a red blip appeared on the mini-map, I could avoid rocket fire 90 percent of the time.  Just start moving your joystick left and right rapidly while staying in a somewhat straight line and most of the missiles will overshoot or undershoot you.

I command thee...AWAKE!

I picked up Mercs 2 at Target after spotting it on the clearance shelf for 15 bucks.  I'd wanted it when it came out, but the mediocre reviews prompted me to wait.

After about a solid week of playtime, I have to say that I disagree totally with those reviews.  I had a blast with mercs 2.  I even finished the game, which is quite rare for me.  The only downside is that it was a rather short experience (probably about 16 hours total).

I didn't play through most of the racing missions since they usually just end up ticking me off, but I did take all the outposts for each faction.  I also ran every storyline and non-racing based missions I could find.  Oh, and I did pass on quite a few of the HVT and destroy missions since they always ended up screwing up my faction standings and biting me in the butt when I tried to return to the campaign missions.

It really was quite fun.  And I only ran into a couple of annoying bugs during the entire game (stuck in a tree at one point, and enemy AI that would just appear and stand there if I was too close to their spawn point).

No. No sandwich is improved by adding turkey. The only way to improve upon a BLT is by adding more bacon.

I question your masculinity and sexuality, not to mention your sanity and common sense, your taste in food and clothing, and your political viewpoints. A sandwich whose first and primary ingredient is bacon has NOTHING to do with estrogen. It is a scientific fact that bacon is the king of all meats, and put on a bed of lettuce and tomato only accentuates the heavenly taste even more. Good DAY sir, you LOSE!

Slightly off topic, but I'll never understand why people judge other people's car choices as 'intelligent' or not.  Unless you are buying a 5 year old used Toyota Corolla (or minivan/station wagon if you have a family), generally speaking your car choice is unintelligent.  People buy cars because they are the cars they want to buy.  Sure we justify it by saying we're going to use it 'I'll take it off roading!' or it's Green 'It gets 50mpg!' or things along those lines, but at the end of the day the choice you are making is fundamentally unintelligent.  You are not getting the most utility for the least amount of money, period.  You are paying a premium for some values that you, personally, find in that vehicle.  Arguing who's personal values are more intelligent than others is silly.

No, but there are levels of intelligence.  This is why IQ's are traditionally rated with numerical values as opposed to simply "Dumb" and "Smart".    icon_wink

fair enough.  I withdraw intelligence as the trait I'm calling into question in the case of H3 owners and I'm replacing it with wisdom.  I also will refine my earlier statement by saying simply that I believe owning any vehicle with such horrible mileage and large dimensions in the case of the average driver to be unwise.
