icon_lol  Yeah, this was a bit over the top.  While I didn't really like the film, I reserve that level of hatred for truly offensive films.  The only movies I've walked out of were Caligula (I was on a date and thought people were kidding when they said it had hardcore sex scenes inserted into the story) and Andy Warhol's Bad (baby scene...that's all I'm going to say as I get sick just remembering it).

My only complaint is that I was hoping the first one would continue adding campaigns.  If they're jumping into a sequel this quickly, I doubt we'll see any new story content for the first game.  If they continue this pace, then the sequel will have that issue as well.

I'm in the market for a new one myself.  I got a Fossil one several years ago that I love, but it's getting pretty dingy and it's time to update.  Sadly they don't make the one I got anymore, and their designs are much more plain than they used to be, or I would likely just buy it again.

Anyway, go for broke with Burberry!  I am lust with this bag -

Looks Scottish to me. I bet i could get one in our clan's tartan colors.

Every time I see someone mention "their clan colors" i have to chuckle.  A friend of mine worked for a company that supposedly supplied folks with scotch/irish and english ancestral history, with tartan colors being the most requested items.  he then showed me how they basically chose the colors at random from a book, then supplied these folks with a "clan history" that was just a template sheet that they used Microsoft Word's find and replace function to fill in.  icon_lol

I have a friend who I thought had similar taste in comedy.  Recently I brought up Bruno and how I thought the trailer for the new movie looked funny.  There was a pause and then he mentioned that he hated Cohen because he didn't like comedy that relied on humiliating people.  While I can understand that sentiment, I have to say that a large part of comedy consists of "getting one over" on someone.  In essence, all comedy is cruel in some parts.  As Mel Brooks once said,

Quote
Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die.

I picked up the rulebook for Secrets of the Third Reich out of curiosity.  While the book is full of really awful artwork and more than a few misspellings, I really dig the setting.  It's much weirder then AE-WW2.  I see it more as a complement to AE-WW2 in my collection than a competitor.  Both rules sets are pretty easy to learn and the miniatures are interchangeable, for the most part.  I think I prefer the setting and tone of SoTR, though.

Hmmm...FFvTR works perfectly under vista 64, but FF is a bit wonky.  had to use software sound plus my characters don't seem to want to follow my orders all the time.

Otherwise, the game holds up relatively well.  I think that has more to do with the art style they use.  I have to say, I'd forgotten how much fun this series was.  I really wish they'd go back and do another in the line!

the story

Quote
Sales of the “Three Wolf Moon Shirt” are up 2300% after word got out that it was getting priceless customer reviews on Amazon. Hundreds of reviewers are vying to be the funniest. The first one says, in part:

This item has wolves on it which makes it intrinsically sweet and worth 5 stars by itself, but once I tried it on, that’s when the magic happened. After checking to ensure that the shirt would properly cover my girth, I walked from my trailer to Wal-mart with the shirt on and was immediately approached by women. The women knew from the wolves on my shirt that I, like a wolf, am a mysterious loner who knows how to ‘howl at the moon’ from time to time (if you catch my drift!). The women that approached me wanted to know if I would be their boyfriend and/or give them money for something they called mehth. I told them no, because they didn’t have enough teeth, and frankly a man with a wolf-shirt shouldn’t settle for the first thing that comes to him.

You have to learn to use the whole loaf, just like Native Americans used the whole buffalo back before Costner civilized them.  Make clothing out of it.  Create toys for your children out of the crust.  Let it harden in the sun, then sharpen the edges for deadly throwing squares you can use to then hunt down and kill more bread...trucks.

Or maybe french toast? Or using the old bread to make croutons?

could these "croutons" you speak of be used as some form of melee weapon?

Yeah, I was surprised at how little Smits brought to the show.  Plus, the guy ain't agin' well.  Still, the show is basically just a vehicle for Michael C. Hall's considerable talent.  I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing Dexter with such aplomb.  I can't wait for season 4.

Yeah, I bought the stalker sequel last night, then turned around and bought WiC two minutes later.   icon_lol  I have the first WiC but I can't find the dang serial number for it.  I figure for less than the cost of the expansion, I get that and the second game.  But dang, 7.9 gig?  Plus, somewhere between my comcast connection and the gamersgate servers, there must be some conflict as the connection is spotty at best.  I have to check the download every few hours to make sure it hasn't paused the download, requiring me to hit the UNPAUSE button.   icon_confused
