Internal government operating documents should not be subject to public scrutiny any more than your personal thoughts or journal should be opened up to everyone in your personal life.  Would your life benefit from your friends knowing everything that you said about them to your spouse, and vice versa?

The people running this have an anti-American agenda and should be classified as enemies of the state, with all actions able to us in the international community brought to bear against those who are responsible for their release.  Any domestic parties responsible for the release of these documents should be charged with treason.

I agree completely.

I think you're arguing a different point then what's been brought up in this thread, Purge. I haven't seen anyone dispute the fact that children generally do much better with two parents. The problem is when the husband (or wife) chooses to break their vows and cheat on their spouse. It's perfectly understandable for the other spouse to file for divorce in that case and that will naturally result in a shared or one-sided custody arrangement, depriving the children of having both parents around at all times. Since, IMO, cheating is NEVER a correct or valid response to any marital problems it is perfectly correct to say that the cheating spouse "basically threw away watching his two boys grow up for the sake of some one-night stand that didn't amount to anything".

I don't have legal advice but I just want to say that if you're fired then you are not entitled to severance pay.

My understanding (here in Alberta) is that if he's dismissed, the company is legally obligated to provide a severance package.  I'm not positive about that, but am getting my info from several HR type folks I know.  By resigning, he gave that up, which is likely why the ex-employer gave him the choice.

Ah, didn't realize you were in Canada. Yeah, here in the US they just mail you a check the next day for what they owe and tell you to hit the streets.

AroundMe - always find the closest gas station, coffee shop, bar, etc, etc...
UrbanSpoon - great app to resolve the age old question "where do you want to eat tonight?"
Fluent News - best news app available as it pulls from every major news organization (you can customize it, I removed Fox News) and sorts into sections
Tapatalk - Great app that makes browsing forums much easier (forum has to support tapatalk and thankfully OO, GT, and QT3 all do)
MobileRSS - Integrates with Google Reader for a pretty nice RSS reader
Undercroft - brand new free RPG, very reminiscent of Dungeon Master and other old-school hardcore RPG's.

I don't think I belong here anymore.

I don't hate women. I've no idea why anyone would assume that but it's certainly not true. My best friend is my Sister and I've never treated a woman with the intent to cause harm. Ever. I was raised by a single mother and growing up I was surrounded by beautiful women who cared for me unconditionally. I literally had no males in my life growing up so if anything I should resent all men but I don't because I was taught to be nice and caring towards others. I'm sorry if that extends to celebrities who I don't know and it offends some of you. Tila was at work trying to earn a paycheck and she got attacked while on the job.  That's it.

There's a time and place of asshattery. Laughing at someone being mobbed who did nothing to deserve it is not the time.

Just to be clear, my post wasn't directed at you. It was directed at WalkingFumble (who edited your post in his quote) and others who were acting like she deserved it.

I didn't think Irrational would stoop to truly and excessively over-hyping what's essentially a BioShock expansion. imho, that's what we're irked about.

I've bought everything Irrational's ever made, so I hardly need you fanbois lecturing me about their games.

A Bioshock expansion? WTF?

If it was just called Infinite, would you have a problem? If not, why the heck are you complaining about something so meaningless as the title?

Bioshock is one of the best games of this entire generation. The same developer is making a new game, in a similar style to System Shock 2 and Bioshock. How are people not excited?!

Similar style to System Shock 2? If you mean FPS then yes, but thats about it then.

Also, a big reveal like this, and its just Bioshock? Thats what people are miffed about

Just Bioshock? A new Bioshock game from Ken Levine is cause for celebration, not "meh".

Again, if it had been announced as "Infinite, a new game from the creators of Bioshock and System Shock 2" would you have been disappointed?

At Toy Story 3 & The Last Airbender, they both had some previews that used the 3D effects better than the movies. I'm talking about the stuff that comes out at you and makes you gasp or duck. That's what I want to see in a 3D movie.

...and that's exactly what I don't want to see. I don't want gimmicks, I want immersion. I'd say you need to see Avatar in 3d when it is rereleased in the theaters next month, but it doesn't have the gimmicks you are looking for either. Just beautiful 3d.

I feel the same way about Toy Story 3. It may have the most subtle use of 3D I've seen yet, but it was also my favorite. After a few minutes you forgot it was a "3D" movie really. The effects served to give everything more life and eventually you not only forgot you were watching a 3D movie, you forgot you were watching an animated movie. It was a wonderful, subtle use of the technology.

That's my opinion.  Especially since I just discovered that dead-eye apparently doesn't work with a knife.

aha!  they don't say anything about shooting them once to weaken them before stabbing them, and when you shoot them they don't tend to run away.

Yep, that's how I did it. I'd go into Dead Eye and shoot them once with the revolver in the hind leg. They'd start running away slowly and I'd just run up and stab them.

I think that's it. I've probably logged 20 hours and only done 8 or 9 missions. The side quests and just random exploring is so awesome in this game it's ridiculous.

This is what Gamefaqs.com is for.  No need to spend money when the answer is free.

GameFAQs doesn't let you save your place.  It also doesn't have maps or color pictures showing you what they're talking about.  It's also on a computer somewhere in the house as opposed to right next to you on the couch (unless you're using a laptop, of course, but then I still have to go get that).  And, often, it's written by idiots.

If I need a guide (usually only for collectibles after I've finished the game) I just print the relevant section which is usually just a page or two and bring it with me to the couch. Much cheaper and more convenient then a guide.

E. coli is an enteric bacteria, but it's very common and does just fine in soil, decaying vegetables, and water.

When looking for extremely talented actors, Hollywood should just put Whedon on speed dial.

Reading through this thread for the first time and I just have to say..."please God, don't let this happen". I like Buffy, Angel, and Firefly but I think Whedon generally sucks at finding talent and has just gotten lucky with a few of them. I mean, he casts Elisha Dushku in everything and she might be one of the worst actresses I've ever seen.

Dushku was perfect for Faith.  She just didn't have the range for Dollhouse.  But on Dollhouse the actors for Victor and Sierra were amazing finds.

I suppose she was perfect if Faith was supposed to be completely devoid of emotion and capable of displaying the acting range of a high school freshman, then sure slywink.
