That's my biggest complaint as well. Other games like Lumines or Tilt to Live give me the same annoyance, and dying is often a matter of fatigue more than actually getting outmatched. Putting the difficulty up does help, but I wish there was some kind of fast-start on the normal setting.
I don't know about that recommendation to get the skill that insta-kills a special enemy since you lose the big rewards for getting the kill.
I usually get the skill as an emergency bailout. Typically, I'll only use it if a really dangerous boss shows up and I don't have many swords. Otherwise I focus on killing the boss using the skill that doubles your attack for one turn.

Give spikes another shot. If you get enough of them on your items they can be devastating. I think at the end of my last game I had 25 spikes, that's 25 points of damage to every enemy, every turn. Blunt is also really nice.
Highest score so far is 14,219, good enough for #94 on the gamecenter leaderboard. The strategy really is more about the skills, upgrades, and spells you select then what matches you make.

Ya, that's a good point. I thought they were all pretty much marketed to do the same thing, but that Viagra was the more 'proven' one.
Nope. If you're looking to fix ED then Viagra and Cialis are your options and you would want to go see your Urologist to find out the pros/cons and if you actually need them.

Doesn't Viagra treat an actual medical problem and require a prescription? The other two are dubious products designed to make small weiners larger.
So, the question is, what are you looking to fix?

Ok, i'll humor you
1. Do you trust the government? No 2. Do you trust agents of the government? No 3. Do you trust that government and its agents tell the truth? No 4. Do you trust that government and its agents act honorably? Not nearly enough 5. Do you trust that government and its agents know what is best for society? No way 6. Do you believe that citizens should challenge the government and its agents, question and examine what they say, and treat them with skepticism? Yup
Ok, now do your thing
You avoided responding to the kicker, of course. Do you feel differently about the government depending on whether it is regulating you, or prosecuting some other guy? Nope. The government is inefficient and incompetent in both cases. That's why a conservative believes in less government overall. Less gov't = less chance of regulating helmet usage in the first place. So you believe the govt is incompetent but you think we should entrust them with the power to execute children?

Freaking awesome. So happy.
Does make me wonder what Survivor is going to do once they can't bring Russell back anymore. He's now going to have been on 3 out of the last 4 seasons and the one he wasn't on was the worst season in ages.

TurboTax Online for me. Can't wait to file this year...full year of employment, no back taxes to pay, second kid with accompanying medical bills, big education expenses = massive refund.

Nathan Fillion would of been so much better.
I hate to burst people's bubble.. but Nathan Fillion ain't gonna get this role.. because Nathan Fillion ain't a movie star. No studio will spend upwards of a 100 mill to have a movie carried by Nathan Fillion. He's a TV star. Watch Serenity And Slither. Nathan Fillion has carried movies before, and he's certainly got the fanbase to be able to carry bigger ones. Ah yes, Slither and Serenity. Box office giants . I hope Fillion does get the role, but people need to stop thinking that he's a big name. He's not. He's a cult star and the likelihood of him getting the lead in a blockbuster movie is pretty small.

Eagerly awaiting impressions on how the virtual d-pad is on Secret of Mana.
Downloaded and played for a few minutes (enough to get through the initial forest). Controls seem pretty good. The d-pad is a little squirrely, just like they always are, but it's certainly accurate enough to do the job. I did turn off "Directional Assistance" in the options and that seemed to improve things a bit. The game certainly brings back a lot of fond memories. I think I'm definitely going to have a good time playing back through it.

I just wondering what approach Bethesda will take to geography this time; will it be a much smaller area like Oblivion's or a full continent like Morrowind. Transporting to different locations on the continent in Morrowind captured my imagination much more than the series of towns and mountains surrounding a small lake featured in Oblivion. That said, I can't say I care for the World Map approach Bioware took with Ferelden in DA.
Technically, Oblivion covered a larger land mass than Morrowind. Take a look at the map above. Morrowind didn't cover even half of the Morrowind province, but was set only on the island. Oblivion on the other hand covered pretty much the entirety of Cyrodiil, the largest province in the Elder Scrolls world. As an aside, Daggerfall covered only a minor part of the Hammerfell province, while Arena covered the entire world. While I'll agree it did technically, it didn't really in terms of in-game area. I could transverse the area around the lake in Cyrodiil in a very short period of time -discounting horse travel- whereas it took a decent amount of time to cross Morrowind. That's what I didn't care for in Oblivion - that they took a large land mass and virtually distilled it down to a very small area. I'm sure that was done in Morrowind too, but the game world just seemed that much bigger. Actually, technically, Oblivion is much larger then Morrowind. Morrowind seems larger due to the more limited travel paths and heavy fog that obscured the LOD. If you walked in a perfectly straight line from one end of the map to the other it would take you much longer in Oblivion then Morrowind.

Ahem... I'm actually going to grab this one today, as Eternal Legacy is going to have to wait until I do my iPhone upgrade. It's completely unplayable on a 3G. Hopefully DH2 works better...the original did just great on my 3G. EDIT: Looks like DH2 is also unplayable on my 3G. :sigh: Funny thing is, I never had any problem running games until I did the OS4 upgrade. Ever since then, my iPhone has gone to complete shit. Never thought I'd be needing to upgrade my phone for new games, but that might be in the cards today. FYI, if you're eligible for an upgrade Radio Shack has a great trade-in deal on iPhone's until Saturday. Depending on the condition of your phone you might be able to get an iPhone 4 for $25-50. Thanks for the heads-up, but it looks like the trade-in/upgrade deal doesn't apply to iPhones. Bummer. It does, you just have to go into a store. I've had a couple friends who've been able to trade in their 3G's and 3GS's.

ALEX SMITH FTW:
MaioccoCSN Matt Maiocco Mike Singletary confirms on his KNBR radio segment that Alex Smith will return as 49ers' starting QB vs. Seahawks.
LOL.
WTF? I barely watch 49ers games (really only when the RZC flips to them) but even I can tell they're much better with Troy Smith.

My Dad and I built a pretty complex wooden model ship a couple years back. It probably took around 300 hours of work and a hefty investment in some good Dremel tools. It's very difficult (especially the rigging and the soaking/bending of the hull planks) but very rewarding. I'll try and post some pics later.

I agree completely you should be involved (i dont have children yet) and i would gladly be a part of any troop. I was merely stating that its sad that this has become so common nowadays.
Is it really more common, though? Or do we just hear about it from the media more often? this........used to be they just slipped out of town quietly....... If anything, I'd say it's less common simply because so many more people are aware of it and watching out for warning signs.

So is the specific time that important overall? If one night we do the all the same steps at 7:00, and another night we do 6:45, if the order of the steps is the same, does the specific time matter as much? The truth of the matter is there are many times were we have to be flexible to some degree on times.
To offer a counterpoint, we've found with our 21mo daughter that the routine, not the time, is what's important. We normally start her bedtime routine at 5pm with Sesame Street. She then eats dinner at 6, bath at 6:30, 2-3 bedtime stories, and then to sleep. All of those times can be adjusted forwards or backwards as much as need be, as long as those steps remain the same. Now, she's been on that routine since she was 5 mo and it's really never changed aside from the addition of Sesame Street so it's very ingrained, which gives us some more flexibility. However, you should be okay to move the times a little bit at the start as long as the steps remain exactly the same.
