Showing Fantasy Life now but STEAM will be shown later.

TaiChi Panda looks kind of cool.  I don't find the "diablo" clone market overdone yet so another one is fine.

Of course but there is a $10 handling fee.  smile

Actually I have no idea but I assume they would have contacted people by email if there was and looking at their kickstarter page I don't see any mention of something for ios.

It is out now. $10  They must have hired the worst PR firm ever because it didn't appear on Appspy's weekly release roundup, nor TouchArcade, and it isn't even being promoted on the App store itself.

Good.

I know many developers need to work out a better revenue model but I hate this one.

Don't have a Wii U but suspect I'll be getting one when that Zelda comes out. Looks amazing but when the action started it was basically cut sequences. Still loved the style of it and the direction.

As far as I could tell there was no gameplay footage in that.

It is neat that they are doing an open world but I didn't really need it.  I am happy with some hand holding and guidance.

Apart from Splatoon, which didn't look like much of anything when it started and turned into the game I'm most interested in, this didn't do enough.

Like everyone else, too many games coming in 2015.  And not enough surprises.  Not even enough expected reveals (although Zelda looked cool).

And nothing about price drops or early adopters reward programs.

Still, there was very little that didn't interest me at least a little, and some of it looked quite cool.

Also, Nintendo does tend to leave some stuff for the show floor, so we'll see if there's more.

+1

I feel like E3 should have the tag line "coming next year!"

Destiny.  Looks a lot like Bungie is trying to make Mass Effect 4.

However it is beautiful and I love Bungie games so I am in.

I picked it up.  I probably won't even play it for for Free I can have it tied to my account and if I do decide to play it in 6 months I will have it.

Of course that is how 90% of my backlog was created but hey at least it is free!

Delayed until February 2015

good sign or bad?  This was supposed to be out in 6 weeks

Considering the movies that get released in February I think we all know it is a bad sign.  In fact it is probably more than bad.  It is pretty much a guarantee that the movie is terrible.

Here are the lineups for Feb. 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.

Studios don't move a movie to February unless it sucks.

Google Has Received Over 41,000 Requests To "Forget" Personal Information

Quote
In the three weeks since a key ruling by the European Court of Justice about the so-called right to be forgotten, Google has already received around 41,000 requests to delete links to personal information from its search results (within 24 hours of putting the form online, Google had reportedly received 12,000 deletion requests). It should be noted, though, that there is no absolute right to have information deleted, and Google will have to weigh a number of criteria in responding to the requests to delete links, including relevance of the information, and the time passed since the facts related.

Let me guess, in order to take full advantage of this I will have to buy the newest device.  Yes it will "work" on the older devices but not with all the bells and whistles.

Josh Brolin Cast As Thanos In Guardians of the Galaxy

Quote
Ever since his big, purple mug popped up at the end of The Avengers, we've been speculating about who will play Marvel's ultimate big bad, Thanos. And now we know. Josh Brolin has been cast as the Mad Titan.

Latino Review broke the news that Brolin has been officially cast in the role of Thanos (and the trades are backing up their story). According to Marvel movie head Kevin Feige, the role had been cast for awhile, but it seems they weren't ready to announce it until just now. The Infinity Gauntlet plot line has been teased out in the Marvel movies for a very long time now, revealing one gem after the other in each film. Now we know, for certain, that Thanos will be appearing in GOTG. However, he is not the main antagonist in this film. That role is filled by Ronan the Accuser, played by Lee Pace. We can only assume that Thanos will be manipulating things from behind the shadows—but will play a much larger part than he did in the Avengers film, obviously. Plus, if you believe certain whispers, Brolin could appear in Avengers 3 as the main villain.

We have to admit, we thought Thanos was going to be Benicio Del Toro. And before that, we suspected Vin Diesel would be voicing the role, but it turned out that he was cast as Guardians of the Galaxy team member Groot. But Brolin works; he's definitely got the intimidating pipes to play this villain.

I played some more last night, and it's fun, just not living up the original for me. I agree with your points above, besides the final one. I won't buy virtual joystick games, I don't like them, my thumbs end halfway across the screen trying to push the controls. I don't play a game like this with my thumbs anyway, I don't find the controls bad at all using my index fingers other than that it can be hard to target/move when you are surrounded.

I love virtual joysticks.  I actually turned it on in Bastion.  I constantly found my fingers over the action on the screen with made me miss out on the pretty pictures.

Dragon Quest 8 hits iOS tonight.  Trying to decide if I want to jump into that time sink again or not.

"Price in NZ is $24.99 which should translate to $19.99 (Approx)."

I just can't decide.  It looks great and I loved the game on the PS2 but $20 is kind of steep considering my already huge iOS games backlog.

It is just so dumb.

Why shouldn't all libraries be forced to burn old newspapers?  After all a paper from 1947 probably has my father's birth announcement - so his name, age, etc.  A paper from 1967 could have a DUI listed in the police blotter for someone famous.

Are those "relevant"  if so why? Is a tabloid saying Jennifer Aniston is marrying Brad Pitt relevant since they are divorced?  Who decides?
