The other thing is it gives a face to the hero.  Part of the fun of FPS is you can imagine yourself a bit in the role.  Now we know what Booker (I think that is his name) looks like which isn't anything like me - well except the chiseled hard body but hey

The buyer and I finally sorted this out.  Apparently he has two addresses listed one in Ebay and one on Paypal so I shipped the the wrong one.  I find it kind of annoying that the guy didn't send me a specific message about where he wanted it shipped since he knows he has two addresses but at least the package isn't lost.

I sold my Nexus 10 last week on Ebay and sent it off. I really didn't think much about it because I have sold tons of stuff. I got delievery confirmation from the Post Office and went on my way.

Today he contacts me saying the item hasn't arrived. I look it up on USPS's site and they say it was delieverd on the 30th! So now I am worried. I called Ebay and they said there was nothing I could really do since the buyer hasn't filed a claim but I am still worrying.

What does happen in a case like this? Ebay seems heavily geared towards buyer protection - and rightly so but this person could just be claiming it didn't arrive and be trying to pocket the N10 and the money too.

Anyone else dealt with this kind of thing?

I get that you find it offensive and not funny but there is a ton of stuff in this 390 page thread that different people don't find funny or find offensive.  There is a lot I find offensive and not funny myself.

Well you people are useless!

I bought the Android Humble Indy bundle since that was a cheaper way of getting a few games to try.  So far I am not impressed.  Avadon is so tiny you can't really play it - as if you started the games a in impossibly high resolution.  Mechianium plays so slow I actually wondered if it was frozen.  Completely unplayable. I have a few more to try but so far gaming on a large screen Android has been crap.

I think we are all a bit bored today or something.  Can't we all get get along?

Anyway, there is nothing here to warrent locking the thread and I would love it if we kept it that way, thanks.

Unfortunately, once you get it on your device, all the strange things 2K was doing like revealing the game in a strategy guide starts to make a lot of sense as the game is just not good. The best way to describe it is by likening it to the "GameBoy version" of popular video games, and anyone alive in the 80's should know exactly what I mean.


My favorite comment summing up stuff in the game "It is either broke or borning."

It seems to have lost the campiness which made the first one fun.  Very, very gross though. 

I just downloaded it from MS and tried it out on a test machine.  For some reason it refused to see the CD/DVD device after install (although it installed from it fine!  So I reformatted the machine.  Short test.

See, that's the thing. It's not decent, or even accurate. ATB is claiming that the game works in a way which it most certainly doesn't, and if he's encountering a bug, I find it very odd that nobody but him has seen it and mentioned it. My impression is that, quite frankly, he's not very good at the game and that this leads him to attack the game to justify his losses. The reason this annoys me isn't because he's wrong. It's because his flawed perception of the game can rub off on people who haven't played it yet, perhaps even pushing them towards not getting the game in the first place. That I simply can't accept, and I will defend the game and point out flaws in his arguments to prevent it. If this in turn makes me a dick, then a dick I will be.

Being a dick has nothing to do with defending the game and pointing out flaws in someone's argument.  It is about tone. Even though we are just typing and therefore lose a lot of the subtle indicators of conversation tone still comes out in posts.

No one will ask you to stop defending the game or pointing out flaws in someone's argument we will ask that you don't be a dick in your tone they are different things.

They are all cheaters. He was just better than everyone else at it.   If he did something criminal then let him be prosecuted, but I wish people would just leave dude alone.
