I just picked this up because it is free - well the first three missions, then you can buy map packs. Anyway it is cool! Very cool. I have only put in a few minutes but it just feels fun. I can't wait to see how big battles play out.
Go pick it up...it is free...really go pick it up.

I just finished up this great game and I would like to play something else on the Wii U. The games that interest me are Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed, and Batman: Arkham City - All Wii U versions.
Anyone else with a Wii U want to trade?

Boy this is a wonderful example of a great game botched. Did they do any player testing?
1. just have the crew automatically build a "token" if assigned to a room. If there were two things to do so you had to make a thoughtful choice it would be different but basically ask soon as I click on a token I click again to start building another one. Why wouldn't I? If they made a it a choice between say building a token and increased accuracy or something like that, then maybe I would choose different but there isn't. When building a token they can still fire the weapon so why wouldn't I always have them building one? And if I am always going to have them building one then why not make it automatic?
2. Make damage to walls mean something. I am not one to "game the system" but I don't repair hull breaches at all anymore. When not in combat your crew doesn't get sucked out so it is best to leave the holes there so that next time combat starts you have a couple ready made death traps for enemies.
3. Combat is frantic which is fine but then do something different with extra skills. I never seem to have time to click on a crew person and then a special skill during a fight. It feels stupid to have at all. Heck I never even leave my crew members the same class! After a fight I switch them all to engineers so they can fix the ship then I just randomly assign them back to red shirts, or whatever so I don't even pay attention to their skills.
I think there is a great game here. I keep wanting to play it but they missed a few things which I just think are obvious. Maybe some updates will help

I picked it up and while it isn't blowing me away I am finding it fun. I know a lot of stuff was dropped during development and I think a lot of people feel a bit cheated because of that with the Kickstarter campaign but I didn't follow any of that.
I wouldn't say it is a game which has blown me away but it certainly isn't bad...yet.

Are you dead set on a 360? This seems like an odd time to be picking one up. Even if you don’t care about next gen the price of the system is bound to drop in a few months. My personal opinion is also that the PS3 beats the 360 in almost every way
I have a PS3 and I like it a lot but I have never loved the controller. I have tried two or three different 3rd party ones and I have never found one that I think is great. Right now I have Skyrim, and Red Dead Revolver to play on the PS3 but I don't because when I think about playing with the controller I decide it isn't worth it. Pretty silly reason I know but I loved the 360 controller when I had one. I should probably just suck it up until the next generation but I was thinking about it anyway.

I am thinking of getting a 360 so what version should I get? Is there any advantage to the 250 GB version if I don't download many games or expect to rip a bunch of music. 4 GB seems so small but how much data are games installing these days?
I know I want the kinetic so but what else do I really need?

Yeah, I do still sometimes watch them but I find that my mind starts wandering after a little bit and i don't really care what he has to say unless I'm really interested in a game. Or as ATB said, his schtick has gotten tiresome.
+1 or is it two now. Either way I agree.

I got mine yesterday, used from a GTer, and I have to say I am in love. I think the thing that Nintendo has always done great for me in controllers. I love, love, love the Wavebird on the GC and I really like this one too. I have tried lots of controllers for my PS3 and never found one I loved but Nintendo just seems to feel right to me.
Anyway I have Lego City: Undercover to keep me entertained for hours and hours so I am very happy.

So did anyone pick this up? I ended up holding off after learning that I wouldn’t be able to download it without an add-on hard drive.
Don't think it's actually out yet, next Tuesday could be US release date and Thurs in Europe/UK due to the Bank Holiday weekend. I just ran and picked up a copy at Walmart. I don't even have the Wii U yet.

I still will have my PS3 for those needs.
On that subject does the Wii U have a Netflix app? How about Amazon Instant Video? I use those more often on the PS3 than watching an actually DVD.
Never mind. A quick google search found both of them.

I just bought one from a fellow GTer because once they announced the remake of the wind waker it was just a matter of time until I bought one. Anyway I will now have one and I wondered what I should buy.
Any recommendations? I expect to buy Lego Undercover because it seems great but what else should I be looking for until WW appears this fall?
Thanks,

I picked this up because I love the show and it has the cast back doing the voice work! So far I have only put in 10-20 minutes but I have liked it so far. The years haven't been kind to Richard Dean Anderson but I still love Jack O'Neil! Short video of him talking a bit about the game. http://youtu.be/mjiMwIqM8HII think if you liked the show it is worth picking up.

I don't care but please don't open first class to competition. It was be horrible, horrible, horrible.
Explain. I envision the ads trumpeting X service over Y. I imagine the headaches of trying to track a missing item shipped by this vendor vs. that vendor. I see service areas where you can't ship to this address or that address just by putting it in your mailbox because the service you contract doesn't have an agreement with the recipients address so it won't deliver there. Then there are all the things that went on with phone service - switching your mail service without your knowledge and you have to fight to get back what you had, etc.

Also, I believe Oliver is my favorite RPG/JRPG lead that I have ever played. Kid just wants to save his mom, is polite, and does not suffer from amnesia/dark past/brooding personality.
+1. It is wonderful to have a hero like this for my kids to see.

Gah....I'm not so sure on Arnie for T5. I think that ship might have sailed. Am I wrong?
Only thing I can think is maybe he's a terminator that was sent back 50 years too far back and has just been chilling (and aging!) as he awaited orders from SKynet. That is actually a somewhat logical which means they won't do it.
