Thankfully.. no big temptations for me today! Maybe 'Crysis', but I heard the tech requirements of that high are so high, I might not wanna bother with it for that reason.
I am on the fence here too (with Crysis). Although the new video card can probably handle it at okay frame-rates now. Anyone going to go for this title or the pack?

Do I need to own Burnout Paradise Ultimate after just having purchased NFS HP? Also, I am a big Crossworlds fan - will Disciples II do anything for me (I already took a pass on III)?
It's a Massive Steam Holiday Sale (MSHS for those of you with love for acronyms) (Miss Hissy for those of you who love to pronounce the letters that are derived from acronyms... l-awl' indeed ). Here's what you do: - Buy everything
- Drown your regrets in the guilt of a giant backlog
- Starve it with the lack of funds to afford alcohol
- Hate CeeKay for his shop-bot shameless plugging*.
Priceless!

I just totalled up the amount I've spent so far, and I'm sitting at $118.60. figuring the few things left that I want I should hit my earlier estimate of $200.
After the sale season is over, I'd really get a kick out of having you list your ENTIRE backlog. I'm starting to flex my index finger muscles now in preparation of some heavy use of my scroll wheel. hell, I'd probably be better off using the iPhone to record a video of me scrolling through it just to avoid index finger scrolling related injury lawsuits Yes, I vote for a YouTube of Ceekay going over the complete backlog, with sales information (expenditures), games completed, games played, games in the backlog, time for posting GT, and a list of daily bathroom breaks. Seriously, I want to see how his operation works. Must have a staff of 6-8 to handle it all.

Today's temptations:
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box $5 Disciples III - Renaissance Steam Special Edition $7.50 (although both the Gamespot review and the Steam Meta scores are pretty low)
Any Disciples III lovers want to weigh in? The reviews really are lukewarm on it?

I picked up: Oddworld pack PB Winterbottom Death Spank Thongs of Virtue Sniper Elite (looks worth a buck and a half) a couple of the megapacks look great, as do several indie packs about about 1/2 dozen of the $2/$3 titles but I am trying to show some restraints - there are several days left... damn it...

I am a huge RPG fan - but never played BG2. I fired it up back in the day but didn't return to it. The GOG sale was too much - that coupled with a widescreen mod everyone seems to appreciate and I took the plunge. I have yet to roll my character. Before I do, I am looking for some suggestions. I'll take anything - mod, character suggestions, tips, tricks, pitfalls. I have to assume there is a fair contingent of supporters at GT. Anyone want to weigh in?

Okay great sale. But, like many of you I can load my cart with a bunch of games. I want to know WHICH games from you haul you think you will ACTUALLY play. It will help my buying decision. I never got through BG2 back in the day and NWN - I think I played the original game. But I am not sure which titles on this monster list I would really get too! It's fairly rare now that I buy a game I don't actually play -even cheap classics from sites like GOG. I've been looking to replay BG2 for some time, but haven't been able to locate my disc 2 - so that's a for sure. I dove in for 2 copies of HOMM3 so my son and I can play vs on our home LAN. We'll do the same with the 2 copies of Stronghold Crusader I got. I've previously bought 18 other games from GOG and other than Divine Divinity I've completed them all - that RPG just didn't do it for me. Despite their dated graphics and sound, it's easy for me to get engrossed in them and finish them, no doubt due to the fact that so many of them were AAA titles in their day. Why did you say that? Now I am going to have to pull the trigger on a few. Damn it! Since graphics are still fairly important- which holds up better NWN or BG2? I think there are mods for BG2?

I just finished - logged over 100 hours (Steam). I really enjoyed this game overall (part one). At times I dropped the difficulty to Casual (toward the end), because of the tedium and incessant kiting required. Mostly this was due to fatigue (after 85 hours) I was just getting a bit tired. And, some of the fed exing got a bit much. As some have said, the difficulty spikes and wanes, but overall just a great game IMHO.
I am going to hold off on Flames of Vengeance and start Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. But I will definitely get back to it. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.
Elder Scrolls V - bring it on!
