Buddy of mine registered his code the day the game was available for purchase, he was in the beta.  He has been invited to start playing on the 13th; I registered my code 3 days after his.
162  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Impressions, tweaks and more! on: December 07, 2011, 11:08:43 PM
Skyrim wont launch now.  Click on play and the screen goes away then immediately pops back up.  Steam is up and running doesnt show the game being updated.

Figured it out.  Right click game go to properties verify integrity of cache files and once it is done the updater kicked off.  After it loaded the update I could launch the game correctly again.

If you router has more than one antennae try adjusting them.  It broadcasts like ripples in a pond so if you tilt one you may be able to cover the dead spot; may being operative.

Ran a race in that white car, yes Hark was in it, car handles quite well.

The career mode is fun but the AI is a lot like Forza3 where "rubbing is racing" is definitely what they do.  Once you muscle your way out front its a good driving experience.

So far I have hit Nissan level 3 75% off parts and Ford level 5; at 4 its 100% off parts at 5 its a bonus $15,000 + 100% off.

Did the challenge where you are in the view car mode for the Aston Martin where if you finish first you unlock the car.  Well you unlock it to view it only.  If you completely view a car you get a free Forza shirt for your avatar.

Looking forward to trying to catch some of you online when I have time to run some multiplayer matches.

Harkonis sent you and Kato a freind request.
174  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Forza 4 on: October 11, 2011, 10:29:02 PM
Who has car clubs?  I sent a request to IkeV for his, not sure if you are on my freinds list still or not Hark; you may have dropped me.

Racing is fun again.  I let my son choose and he picked the Nissan Micra had a lot of fun with that car running the first 5 tracks.

Jedi Knight (hand wave):   You will put your weapons down and surrender

Bounty Hunter:  You will realize what an idiot you are.
176  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Best shoes for working on your feet all day? on: October 06, 2011, 10:14:52 PM
Anything by Rockport that fits the dress code.  Went from the USMC (boots/flightsuit) to wearing a suit and tie.  I had some dress shoes that were "good" but wore a hole in my ankle.  A Sikorsky tech rep I knew told me to go buy some Dressports by Rockport and those are fantastic shoes.  Rockport makes great foot wear.

191  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / opening GT on: August 27, 2011, 03:26:02 PM
Why does it take 2-3 seconds for the main page to pop up on GT?  Its every time i come to the site and it keep IE locked up the whole time; so far it only occurs here.

When you are testing something that hovers you tether it so it doesnt get away from the pilot/rider.  Nothing like have a device with spinning blades go screwy and turn turtle on you(flip over).  Look at some of the osprey test flight crash videos for samples of what can happen; nasty nasty.

Thanks Bash

Right now I live in Georgia about 45 minutes due north of Atlanta so it gets hot here too (not the same I know).  I have only heard good things about San Antonio so far.  I will probably be flown out there next week to meet the team I would work with and check out the facility I would work in.
199  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / So what do you know about San Antonio on: May 20, 2011, 10:24:35 PM
Company wants to hire me and move me to San Antonio; so anyone know much about the place beyond the obvious?  Sea World and Schliterbahn park being there?

Cost of living, Housing, People, etc.
200  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Anyone familiar with Sleep Number beds? on: April 11, 2011, 09:55:01 PM
I have had a sleep number bed for almost 10 years now.  We went into a store talked to them and started receiving mailings; twice a year we would get a mailing for refurbished beds that sell at half price with full warranty.  We bought a king size which has the two separate air mattresses and 2 wired controls (not the wireless).  The bed is great about 6 years in one of the main support beams cracked as I had not put the iron frame center piece together correctly.  We called in under the warranty and we were shipped at no cost two new box frames to assemble; the king has two support boxes you put together that is the "box spring" part.  I did have to box up the two old boxes and ship them back with the prepaid labels included.

The bed is great you can adjust it however you want for either side.  What I have found as the best starting point is to lay flat and make adjustments until you are comfortable; try sleeping that way and make whatever adjustment you need.  This way at least your back should be fine when first sleeping on the mattress until you findjust where you want it.

If you weight fluctuates you can adjust the mattress to make yourself comfortable as well.  I find that when I lose some weight I like the mattress a bit softer.
