121  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: So what do you know about San Antonio on: June 08, 2011, 12:43:45 AM
Looks like I will be ther in Mid-July.  Worked in getting paid the same amount and with the bonus offered I will make between more and a lot more.  Bonus is 10-20% paid out in one sum, 10% is the target and is the usual payment last one was 15%.

Thanks Bash

Right now I live in Georgia about 45 minutes due north of Atlanta so it gets hot here too (not the same I know).  I have only heard good things about San Antonio so far.  I will probably be flown out there next week to meet the team I would work with and check out the facility I would work in.
124  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / So what do you know about San Antonio on: May 20, 2011, 10:24:35 PM
Company wants to hire me and move me to San Antonio; so anyone know much about the place beyond the obvious?  Sea World and Schliterbahn park being there?

Cost of living, Housing, People, etc.
125  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Anyone familiar with Sleep Number beds? on: April 11, 2011, 09:55:01 PM
I have had a sleep number bed for almost 10 years now.  We went into a store talked to them and started receiving mailings; twice a year we would get a mailing for refurbished beds that sell at half price with full warranty.  We bought a king size which has the two separate air mattresses and 2 wired controls (not the wireless).  The bed is great about 6 years in one of the main support beams cracked as I had not put the iron frame center piece together correctly.  We called in under the warranty and we were shipped at no cost two new box frames to assemble; the king has two support boxes you put together that is the "box spring" part.  I did have to box up the two old boxes and ship them back with the prepaid labels included.

The bed is great you can adjust it however you want for either side.  What I have found as the best starting point is to lay flat and make adjustments until you are comfortable; try sleeping that way and make whatever adjustment you need.  This way at least your back should be fine when first sleeping on the mattress until you findjust where you want it.

If you weight fluctuates you can adjust the mattress to make yourself comfortable as well.  I find that when I lose some weight I like the mattress a bit softer.

When ever I could stay behind harkonis on a track I learned how to run that track better by watching him.

Sweet.  No more running to the house you built from where you spawned; tired of building little safe houses all over the map.

Used cartograph today worked just fine, you may have to install MS C++ as noted.

BTW

I tried loading the Albion pack but apparently I am running Minecraft in my browser. How do you get Minecraft to not run in the browser?  I start the game via the minecraft.exe file.

Apparently he was doing a server move so I bought myself a copy of minecraft too now.  Is it possible to get a PM with the multiplayer server you have up so I can try it?  My name in Minecraft is the same as my name here with an x22 on the end.
143  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: My weekend was assassinated by Minecraft on: January 26, 2011, 12:48:05 AM
is the minecraft website itself down?  I am getting 404 errors not found.  I bought the game and my son plays it a lot.  I tried it out myself and decided I might as well buy it for myself so we can play at the same time.

146  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / X box live family account and items purchased prior on: January 10, 2011, 05:55:50 PM
Ok question.  I bumped my x box live account to a family account so my son now has his own login.  How does this work with thigns purchased with MS points?  For instance i have map packs for games and music for rock band, can he access them?  Or do they have to be purchased under each "account"; I really hope not.

He cannot access some COD World at War maps but I am wondering if its the maturity rating of the game etc.
147  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Does anyone here brew their own beer? on: January 05, 2011, 11:35:59 PM
key thing in home brewing is making sure everything is sterile so you dont get skunky beer.

When I carboated my before I mixed the sugar with warm water adn would stir it into the beer right before bottling so every beer was carbonated the same; no exploding beer caps for me.

Get auctioneer an add on. It's really a very good add on for the AH, run a scan on the AH and it will update itself as you view items. I download it from their web site not from curse.

My son has been playing Minecraft in the solo mode and I bought him the beta version.  If you guys have a server that he can do multiplayer on can I get the link?  We have had the talk about if you play multiplayer you do not mess with other players buildings etc.

FYI my son is 10 on December 16 and some of you may know him from my X box live account DrifterX22.

I have a 50" LG plasma I bought 2 Black fridays ago and its great.  It only goes to 720 but even that when watching a broadcast event looks amazing.  Viewing angle on it is, per the manual, 178 degrees; so no issue with viewing angles.
153  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: A Cataclysm coming to WoW: Direct X 11 on: October 11, 2010, 03:25:50 AM
I mainly play on an RP-PvP server and have 4 level 80's, Warlock, rogue, mage, Death Knight.  A level 73 hunter, 70 shaman and a 63 pally.  With the dungeon queue system you dont really see a lot of people running around anymore just looking to gank; although I had my 4 lvl 80s prior.

HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENT

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

For 20K credit per crew member you can immediately train them to 75%.  Click on the crew portrait, personel jacket, training, then click train.  For 200G you can train straight to 100% if you want per crewmember.

There is an update that I am downloading right now.  its is done via a torrent thru the game updater itself.  When i first had it start it hung up at .75MB downloaded and had been slow to get there.  I closed it out and when I restarted it picked up from where it left off and went much quicker.
