1  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Madden 25 Xbox 360 on: September 01, 2013, 03:17:34 PM
I purchased the Anniversary edition for the Sunday Ticket.  The game is unused and comes with the unused code for "receiving your 17 weeks' worth of Madden ultimate team packs."  So basically I'm looking to trade an unused anniversary edition without the Sunday Ticket code.

I checked ebay and numerous auctions are in the upper 40s with free shipping.  Anyone interested in it for $40 with free shipping?  I'd send it out via USPS.

I used to trade here, GG, and OO quite often, but haven't done so in a while.  I'd take Paypal.  Please PM if interested.

The 2nd Indiana Jones also has online coop.
3  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/iOS/Android] Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 Enhanced Editions on: December 08, 2012, 01:02:33 PM
My impression is that it works really well with the touch interface.  Back in 1998 the interface was a bit clunky even with a mouse.  The touch interface makes it a little less clunky imo.

That being said, it is Baldur's Gate.  The game is the same (with a few extra joinable npcs.)  Finally something with depth to play on an iPad.

One of the devs posted that the goal is to get it to work on the iPad 1, but they have to fix a memory issue first.
5  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: IPad Repair? on: February 13, 2012, 11:44:38 PM
It would be really difficult to get a good picture since it isn't all that noticeable.  In fact I used it for a while afterwards without noticing.

The crack is mostly in the bottom corner and then goes along the short edge by the camera about 1/2 cm into the viewable area.

Perhaps a screen protector would be a good idea to kinda hold things together and keep the crack from spreading?
6  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: IPad Repair? on: February 12, 2012, 11:56:07 PM
It just happened.  I'm not near an Apple store right now, maybe I'll drive up to the Twin Cities some weekend to see how much.

Thanks for your input.  I was hoping for better news, but it is what it is.

Thanks again.
8  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / IPad Repair? on: February 12, 2012, 06:00:42 PM
My 8-year-old wasn't careful enough and now there is a crack along one side of my iPad.   crybaby  My heart is torn because she feels awful and is avoiding me.  I forgive her.  The hurt of the broken iPad along with the hurt she feels is making it a rough day.

It still works, although I can feel the roughness along the cracks.  I did some googling to figure out how much it would be to repair.  Doesn't look good at this point.  I see that many people were able to exchange them in the past at an Apple store, but they don't seem to do that anymore.  Other places are claiming $400+ to repair.

Anyone with experience in this?  Is it likely that I could just live with it?

Thanks.

Is the Walmart deal in-store only?  Will Sam's Club also have this deal?

Looks like the sale starts today and is in store only.  I don't know about Sam's Club.

There's a thread on slickdeals that says the Kindle Fire is $200 at Walmart with a $50 gift card this week.

For the younger one:  cosmic family.

You could never go wrong with Lego star wars and Mario karts

Using a windows 7 media center connection to an Xbox can be just as good as a TiVo, IMHO.

If you liked bloodlines, my guess is that you'd like neverwinter nights 2.  While it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the link.  Looks like I won't be getting it, since I was really hoping to gift them to a second account for myself to play multiplayer when people come over.

Thanks.

I'm interested in the Valve pack.  How do you know if an item can be gifted from the pack if you already have it?

Thanks.
18  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Star Trek DS9 on: April 29, 2010, 12:35:54 AM
I watched all 7 seasons in a row a year ago.  Never had the time to watch it when it was originally on TV.  I enjoyed it more than any other Star Trek by far.

Right now I'm watching Voyager from start to finish and am currently in season 6.  Not as good, but it has been enjoyable.

I've had the same problem.  Futzed with it for quite a while with drivers and what not, but nothing.

A really good one is Cosmic Family.  My daughter played that one for a long, long time.

My daughter too.  All other games that I've come across were too complex for the average 3-year old to grasp quickly.  Cosmic Family fits the age perfectly.
21  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Simple physics question on: January 20, 2010, 12:31:05 PM
A dropped object will continue to accelerate until it reaches terminal velocity.  At terminal velocity the friction of the object with the air molecules (air resistance) is enough to stop the object from accelerating.

24  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: XBMC mod. Who's done it? on: August 22, 2009, 04:30:52 PM
I did it a couple of years ago.  If you can understand and follow the directions posted online, it is very doable.  I used it quite a bit for a few years, but now a days I use a mythtv box.

It does make more sense, but then the stuff that makes it makes sense needs to be made sense of.  The polar bear is explained later on, however.

Definitely stick it out.  After the first couple of seasons, it really takes off.

Another Star Trek with a story arc would be awesome.  DS9 is one of my favorite shows ever.

31  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir Impressions? on: November 21, 2008, 12:34:06 PM
I've only played it for about three hours so far, but I'm impressed.  The feel is much more Icewind Dalish than any of the previous NWN campaigns.  The overland map is really very cool, even though I didn't expect it to be.

Probably the most exciting thing for me is how I can be more 'strategic' in encounters.  That's what really bugged me the most with both NWNs so far.  The placement of your pcs is really important in a lot of the encounters I've had and the computer is much more challenging than in the past.

My dad has the vertical loops.  Once you get down fifteen feet or so the temperature stays rather consistent.  The only reason the wells are drilled that deep is to increase surface area.

39  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Microsoft plays stupid - doesn't drop price of the console on: July 13, 2008, 08:01:19 PM
I'd love to buy a 360 and will once I can buy one that will last me a long time at $250.  I refuse to buy a console that might not last that long.  I currently play games on my original xbox fairly regularly and can't imagine putting that amount of money into something that won't last 10 years.
40  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / FT: Super Smash Bros. (Wii) on: May 30, 2008, 07:31:28 PM
It is in near mint shape, since I only played it a couple of times.  Just not my cup of tea.  I was a gold trader back in the GG era and a super spectacular trader at OO, although I don't remember my feedback total.

I'm mostly interested in Mario Kart for the Wii, but would be interested in other trade offers too.  (I can paypal to make things even either way.)

I also have a Gainward 4200 AGP card for trade if anyone is interested.
