I thought it was awful, but then I was playing it on PC with a keyboard. Hopefully 2 will feel more natural now tht I have the xbox.

I've been paying no attention to the story,so I can't comment. I'm in it for the fights!

It sounds like a nightmare mode in Ghost Recon where you have to count on your squadmates to get everything done. Think about Ghost Recon and how many kills you got compared to the AI controlled members of your team...

Oh, and thanks for making the logo a link back to the main site.  Although I did notice that the alt text still says "ConsoleGold forum index".  That's an easy fix though.

My feedback is the opposite, I'm used to the logo taking me back to the forum index and now I keep going back to the site... eventually I will learn I suppose.

Of course the "golf meter" mechanic sort of trivializes the game if you are good at it. In particular it breaks the rock, paper, scissors setup when my Heavy fighters hit Light fighters 95% of the time due to the fact that crits can't miss.

I jsut got to the second area and demolished the competition in 3 or 4 events so far, I hope the difficulty ramps back up again. In the 2v2v2v2 do the most damage contest, my two did ~950 damage, the other 6 combined did about 500 damage... combined!

In the King of the Hill competition, at the end all my gladiators were alive, there was only one other gladiator from the other team alive and the score was 16-0, I was never pushed off the top.

This is all playing as the guy, which was supposed to be the "advanced" difficulty.

It supports co-op, but I haven't tried it... not really my wife's sort of game.

Somehow I missed it when it came out, I eventually bought it as a filler at a Gamestop buy 2 used games get 1 free sale, remembering some praise for it on GG, and a couple months after that I finally loaded it up. After a rough start this past weekend, I got a few weapon upgrades and got into a grrove last night, playing for 6 hours straight.

How did you all let me miss this one?!

Just a couple options.

I picked up Gladius used a couple months ago, I finally loaded it up this weekend... and the entire weekend was gone.  :oops:

I'd definitely like to get back into playing PGR2 with you guys, I had a blast the month it came out. I don't have any of the newer games... owning 15 or 16 xbox games I've never played makes me really reticent to buy new ones hehe.

I'll be able to play PGR2.. I don't own the other two.

The other downside is at the moment I lack voice. The small clip on the live headset snapped, so I have no way of keeping the headset on my head. All I was doing was adjusting how high the thing was in front of my mouth and it broke. I was pretty upset.

The general plan is to get some superglue and just permanantly attach the mic and speaker to the headset piece. But alas, no superglue, and no urge to go out and buy any.

So if you don't mind playing with a mime, I might pop in for a game or two.

This one is way more challenging than the Mini course. You are driving a much more powerful car at much higher speeds on a course with a couple of tricks up it's sleeve... turns 1 and 2 being the worst of it. It takes a lot more to put together a good run here.

Which is why I fully expect Driver to be 4 seconds ahead of me before it is all over.

I picked up GR and IT, but I can't play them on my PC monitor. Too hard to pick out others in the bush. The signal converter I use makes camo extra effective.

Unfortunately, taking the xbox in to play on the big screen means I lose network connectivity. One of these days I'll run a network cable to the family room... when my wife isn't looking.

Haven't played PGR2 in a while, we'll see what I can do.
