45  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Has no one posted a "2009 really sucked" thread yet? on: January 05, 2010, 05:31:36 AM
2008 & 2009 was one of worst year for me,

-Lost the house in bad economy plus boss scamming me at my last job

-No job and no money... doing odd jobs and selling stuffs on internet just to get by

-Lost my best friend over money.
(He borrowed the money from me and when I really needed it back last year, he told me he doesn't have any, but he went out and bought brand new LCD TV, videogames, iphone, etc. When I finally swallowed my pride and begged for at least $50 out of $1000, he laughed and told me to get a job...He is telling other friends that he still does not understand why I do not want to talk to him anymore...)

-My PS3 died and came back as retard few months later. (it's won't read discs half the time and makes clicking noise)

-Finding out that it is going to cost $3000 for my wife's toothache...and  having only $10.00 in the bank account

-Depression was getting worse and thought about bad stuff a lot

-Finishing 42 games (maybe it's positive?)

However, now in 2010:

-Have a new job, even it's in retail

-Still depressed but is getting better

I am trying to have positive outlook this year  nod

John Woo's latest epic martial arts film.  wow, when they say epic they mean EPIC.  it's too bad that us westerners are going to get a two part story cut down into one flick.  according to wiki:

Just to clarify, it's more of war epic than martial arts film.

Tried it this morning for a few minutes.

I was very surprise with Last.FM with amount of songs they had and artist photos and info is also nice touch.
They even have latest Korean Pop that my wife is into...

Since, I do not use Facebook, I have to wait till tonight to use my wife's Facebook account.

I did not had time to try out the Zune Marketplace but looks like they have less movies than Movie Marketplace.. or is it just me?

Yea, I'd drop Live completely.  That's outrageous.

Yea, the reporting is outrageous. Some random analyst spouts off about how he could see MS doubling the price of XBox Live and then a corporate spokesman gives a non-definitive denial. I could say that I can see pink elephants flying out of MS's ass and a corporate spokesman would give a non-definitive denial. That's what they do. It's a complete non-story.

I small bullsh!t!
MS is not stupid enough to double the price of XBOX Live.
The smart thing would be to actually lower the price. (Free would be nice but you know it's not going to happen)

Took me a day to find a way to run the antivirus programs and another to scan the PC using 5 different programs.

Oh, Make sure run the programs on safe mode also.

I used to have so much games, systems, accessory, and etc. that I had to rent storage room (10 x 5) to fill all the stuff.

I used to collect more than I play.
I sold most of the items since I really need the money and also finally realized that I will never play 90% of the games that I had.

I got rid of all of older generation games, NES, Genesis, Super Nintendo, TDUO, NeoGeo CD, NeoGeo Cart, etc.
1000's and 1000's of my life collection....gone crybaby

I do still have 86 XBOX 360 games, 5 PS3 games, 10 Wii games, 10 PS2 games, 20 PSOne games, 5 XBOX games, 5 NGC games, and about 100 PC games.

I heard that game sucks.

I enjoyed the Force Unleashed very much. It's not the best game in the world but had great fun playing it.
I would say game is solid "B"

Planning to finish Ghostbusters on XBOX360 and play Ratchet and Clank on PS3.

Yesterday, Resistance 2 for PS3 and Incredible Hulk for XBOX360.

Played a PC Game:

Yesterday, StarCraft: Brood War and The Witcher EE.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Just finished StarCraft over the weekend.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Ratatouille XBOX360 The game so frustrating and hard (cheap death) that I can't believe it's aimed at kid.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Playing Wolverine: X-Men Origin on XBOX360. When Wolverine jumps and sink his claws into the enemy first time.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

When I know I have to work and all I can think about is videogame.

Bought a New Full Game:

Halo 3 XBOX360 on launch date.

Bought a used game:

I rarely purchase used game in retail store...always use Gamingtrend or Goozex to get my fix.
I got The Simpsons XBOX360 on July from Goozex.

Bought a new peripheral:

I haven't bought a new peripheral since I bought the extra Wii Controller when Wii came out.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Last system I got was Wii.

Joined a new gaming forum:

GamingTrend forever!

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Wolverine: X-Men Origin XBOX360. Wow!!

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Resident Evil 5 XBOX360. I was expecting so much more and so much better.

79  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Playing older back-log...... Dungeon Siege on: June 13, 2009, 08:51:33 PM
Since, My wife wonít let me near my our Gaming PC as she is playing Sims 3 like there is no tomorrow,

I decide to play some of older back-log games on my old PC, P4 3.0 Ghz,  512MB Ram with Geforce 6800 128 MB.

I been playing Dungeon Siege for couple days and itís not what I expected. I was looking forward to more story and classic RPG type game play. Instead itís more of hack/slash.
Also, itís like I am watching the game playing itself rather than me actually controlling the game.

Hope it gets little better~
