It is the small touches that seem so off, the one not mentioned yet was the hotel where the big fight took place.  There is a staircase with a fallen column lying on the steps and yet the rest of the hotel is pretty much spotless.  Just ran out of energy to clean that up?  It kinda sums up my lack of interest after the pilot episode, the world just doesn't look post apoc at all, more like the shrubbery got a bit out of control.

Had the exact same issue with the .net stuff and I am sure Kato did too.  Hated the unskippable intro just cause I couldn't bypass it, good song though same theme as Strikeback on Cinemax.

Once in the game everything worked great and I had fun but need sleep now.

I'm shocked it took this long to bring adult films into this thread.

DCS: A-10C Warthog ($16)

I'd love to buy this but I already have a full time job.  icon_smile It looks amazing.  So far I've bought Max Payne 3.

Never said I'd get the chance to play it. smile  LOL

I'm sooo trying not to jump in on DCS: A-10C, could be the most expensive $16 game ever.  I'm salivating for a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog setup, TrackIR V, Saitek Pro Combat rudder pedals and to make it even more insane have you seen Helios software combined with a touch screen monitor (none of which I have)?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v15E1JZe9es&feature=channel&list=UL

So

HOTAS        $454.35
Rudders      $179.99
TrackIR       $149.99
Touchscreen approx $250
and A-10 on "sale" $16.00

Over $1050 for all that stuff, I think I'll hold of a bit longer, I'll jump when A-10 drops to $8 to maximize savings  icon_biggrin

2. 4 streams max. Period. Can be 4 HD, 4 SD, this doesn't matter, just a max of 4 channels going at the same time. Anything recording counts toward this, watching recorded TV does not. You can pause live TV on any box. You can be limited to less if your wire distance to the VRAD is too long and you can't train at the highest profile.
Having formerly been a subscriber to U-Verse and forced to choose something else when I moved (and went with DirecTV), I was disappointed to discover that the DirecTV box would only let me record 2 at a time and I had to watch one of them. 4 streams independent of watching is pretty great, can't imagine needing more.

New customers of DirecTV can get the HD-34 DVR that can record up to 5 shows at once.  I called to see if I could get an upgrade but they wanted $399 for the DVR.

I'm way late on finding this out but apparently Crucial SSD's need to have their firmware updated to prevent system crashes

Man I am late to the party with this, my firmware was an older version so I upgraded to the newest one just now, went well enough.  I have version 000f installed atm.

Loving the game, sorry Hark about this morning not sure why I couldn't talk but I could hear you.  And yes my mic wasn't muted.  Got some cool stuff from my pawn being hired out by you guys so thanks to all.  Also I decided to go exploring off to the side before heading to the main city or whatever and found some good stuff by looting an abandoned castle that had bandits in it.  The bandits didn't attack me so I just walked around gathering things.  Just beyond that I found good stuff on the beach and gave Winter a nice staff that I had found that really up'ed his magic stat.

Worst thing is I don't have that much time to play since I'm still working 12 hr days at work in the middle of the night but I can't wait to get back at it.
99  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360/PS3] Dragon's Dogma on: May 29, 2012, 12:30:07 PM
Gaming Trend casts "forum effect", Zinfan fails on saving throw and must collect Dragons Dogma.

Zinfan see GameStop and uses "charge card attack"!  GameStop counters with "Pre-Order" buff.  Zinfan attack ineffective, GameStop inventory (0) unaffected!

Zinfan tries "Flanking strike" at Walmart!  Walmart casts "memory wipe" on self!  Walmart pawn "never heard of it"!  Zinfan fails

"forum effect" spell wears off, Zinfan returns home and casts "Diabo 3"  spell super effective and lasts 5 hours.

Anyone listen to the audiobook yet? I'm on a big audiobook kick, with all the driving, and Wil Wheaton narrates this one.

I did and it was great!  Wil did a very good job with it.  I keep it on my iPod as a standby in case the book I'm currently listening to isn't any good, only other book on tape I keep around is To Say Nothing of the Dog, with those two books I feel I'm good for any long trip I may take.

I, just like the 1920 OtterChaos's ahead of me will be getting Diablo 3 plus maybe Max Payne on the 360, going to have to read up a bit on it before ordering, I have 7 hours to decide and still get Amazon's release day delivery.

Pro tip on progressing: don't forget to do your tournaments and trick games for medals.  Those all go into your pool and count towards unlocking later maps/gear.

I got a couple of gold medals on the first two tiers by going back to them after unlocking a more powerful bike.  Not sure why but I loved the "running out of gas" game, more difficult than I thought and takes a bit of technique to get anywhere while saving the gas.  I took a quick look at tournaments but they were all locked, I assume you have to me in multiplayer mode to do those?  Love the game so far but still on easy level.

I'm finding that I have to tell myself "It's ok to move on to the next area, you don't have t finish every single quest in each zone". Otherwise I think I might go insane or burn out on this one.

plus the XP return doesn't seem to be that great after a certain point, so I think I'm just going to finish the ones that are open and not pick up new ones.

finished the collectapedia for the first two areas.  I didn't realize that you had to add the items in manually, so I had quite a few of each one already.

Son of a B* you have to add them eh?  Now I know why those boxes had no graphics in them, as said before a guide or much better instructions would be nice.

I had so much trouble in the fight where you can't use the bitchen sword, they are trying to teach chain attacks but the instructions were so vague it took me for ever to figure out the chain attack button and where it was.

Tab key brings up the map, do wish there was quick save key too.  I think I'll try my rogue up front so she can backstab with a dagger and maybe evade lots of attacks.  I'm  glad I have automap on, I would get so lost otherwise, the compass I found isn't much help.

Yeah I went back to the email from humblegames and it linked me to where I could download the game, same location you got the preorder bonus I think.

Just died for the first time, loving the game, I think they really hit the mark in this one.  I also leveled up for the first time so had to make some decisions on skills that perhaps I won't use for awhile.  Getting used to the combat method of moving back and forth, my fingers keep messing me up but it will come together I'm sure.  I'm going to restart the game using a new party I will create so I can see how that works.  Loving it!

Well it is discouraging playing with Hark and Kato, those guys get so lucky on items in Specter packs!!  Hark has the new Geth character and the new SMG, Harpoon gun and the new assault rifle (the Striker?) and Kato got two of the new characters in one pack and also has the Striker.  I in the mean time got squadouche on my three attempts at buying stuff other than more upgrades to the Falcon rifle (which is useless), hey how about letting me carry more than 2 rockets at least!  Or how about an upgrade to the Carneflex pistol for Shepards sake.

Thanks a lot guys!  All I need is another game I won't have time to play.  But yes I did head to GameStop and fought the unruly crowd and got the game along with a classic pro controller.  I had to search high and low to find my Wii cables but as of now the system is updating.  I have no idea how long it has been since I turned on the system but it had Super Mario Galaxy in the machine, I'm sure that is the last game I bought for the Wii.

Well no pack for me from last weekend.  Not sure what happened, I promoted 3 chars at least, two of them were already lvl 20 at the start though maybe that was an issue.

Crazy stats from gold namatoki!
120  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Mass Effect 3 co-op (PC) on: April 04, 2012, 06:12:10 AM
I only got a supply pack, just medigels and ops survival packs.  Hark got two packs but CSL also only got one.  I hope they are just working thru the list and I can get one soon.  I promoted 3 chars during the period.

There is a new pack this week, the supreme specter pack for a mere 99000 quatloos.  Earned one but got squat or also known as Salarian Infiltrator exp.
