1  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Re: Gow on sale on: November 13, 2006, 11:01:56 PM
I just bought GoW for $60 at Target, but it came with a $10 Target Gift Card, so if you planned on spending $10 anyway, it will work out to $50.
2  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Here is my top 9 FPSers, what are your's? on: October 11, 2005, 10:30:17 PM
#1: Gotta be Deus Ex.  That game had my favorite level designs.
#2: Return to Castle Wolfenstein.  This game seems to be a bit underappreciated.
#3: Doom is still fun to play every once in a while.
#4: Shadow Warrior was such a dirty little game.  A guilty pleasure, back when.
#5: If it were not for the controls, Descent II would be my number 4.
#6: Call of Duty was a lot of fun, but a bit crazy hard.
#7: Duke Nukem 3D with fan made, porn mods.  Yum (when you are still in middle school).
#8: Soldier of Fortune had some great gibbin', so it is here.  The multiplayer was good, mindless fun too.
#9: Rise of the Triad is the (unitentionally?) funniest game I have ever played.

Honorable mention: Judge Dread: Dread vs Death and Serious Sam.

FPSers I didn't like: Halo, Half-Life, Painkiller, Red Faction, and Darkwatch.

4  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Why do people have to spit? on: July 21, 2005, 06:57:54 PM
Quote from: "warning"
The only time I spit is when I pee.

I have no explanation for this.

I do this as well.  I never spit, unless I am urinating.
5  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Elixir Studios Closes its Doors on: May 31, 2005, 07:19:06 PM
When I get rich, I am going to personally finance development of Dungeon Keeper 3 and Evil Genius 2... and I will not let you guys play!
6  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / 3D Gamer's has changed. on: May 29, 2005, 02:01:01 AM
I quit using 3DGamers right after they were bought (by IGN, I think).  Instantly, the servers were always busy and slow.

I use Filefront and Gamer's Hell.

I will have to give Fileshack a lookover.

8  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / PS2 controller question on: May 11, 2005, 01:07:04 PM
Do you not know another person who could let you borrow one of his controllers for five minutes?
9  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Rockets got reamed. on: May 08, 2005, 09:20:42 AM
It's really a sad way for the Rockets to go out.  I picked New Jersey and Houston to play in the finals, with the Rockets winning it all (This was before even pre-season though).  The Rockets really had the players to do it too.

Since the 76ers went out early, I was cheering the Rockets, which have become my second favorite team behind the 76ers.  Now, I have to cheer for REGGIE!
10  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / x-play on re4? on: May 04, 2005, 03:25:53 PM
X-Play is hardly watchable, in my opinion.  Used to be, but now it is 1>Dork says something 2>Slut says something in a childs voice that is trying to be sadistic 3> Dork looks away in a dorky way.
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / holy @#%&! - it's really lara! on: May 03, 2005, 04:37:20 AM

12  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / 76'ers and Pistons, just now. on: May 03, 2005, 02:29:15 AM
From their telling, they booed a drunk guy from the crowed who was the replacement for the late Santa.  That was a long time ago, either way.

If you want to shake your head at Philly, look at the treatment of Irving during his injury.
13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Burnout 3 - Custom Soundtrack on: May 02, 2005, 01:48:03 PM
It only gets worse, my friend.  After listening to the same cockrocker whine about his parents not tucking him in one nite a few times, you will just have shield your sanity behind the mute button.
14  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / I played Final Fantasy X-2 - where are my testicles? on: May 02, 2005, 05:47:52 AM
I know how you feel.  This game felt more like TRL than FF.

Yuna isn't Yuna.  Not a terrible thing, because before this game, Yuna was a girl that whispered cheesey, misplaced lines.  Now she is an attention whore, pop-star?  Sure thing?

Whoever came up with Rikku should be shot.  'Nough said.

The quick upskirts and such at the begining hinted to me that this was going to be a ridiculous experience.

This game ruined console RPGs for me.  I haven't played another since.
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [CG] Vision of Intent for PC Gaming Coverage on: April 28, 2005, 08:01:24 AM
I concur with the users wanting accessory reviews.  I want to see a database of old and new joystick, wheels, and wireless pads, which aren't reviewed often.
16  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Ever find a game you were TOO good at? on: April 27, 2005, 10:03:09 PM
I used to play Mario Bros./ Track Meet/ Duck Hunt so much (my only game for a long time), that I completely murdered at them.  I could go through each level of mario, full speed ahead without a single screw up.  Track Meet, I could jump off the pad for long jumps, and jump back on just before my guy falls on his face.

Soldier of Fortune was the first game I ever played (multiplayer) with broadband.  If I was trying my hardest, I would completely smear everyone else.  Soldier of Fortune II, I didn't own at as much, but I still made some incredible plays on capture the flag.

If you have played capture the flag on SoFII, then you know that the game can last multiple hours at 0-0 stalemates.  On a randomly generated, 64 player capture the flag, the score was 1-1, and stayed that was for about two hours.  Then, the other team got to their base with are flag.  I was waiting.  Blew him away about ten (scale) feet away from returning it, and kept everyone else from snagging it, until it reset at are base.  I then thought "What the hell; why not?", and grabbed their flag.  I returned it, getting about ten kills on my way to are flag, before back-up helped me out.  It was the first (and only) time I had ever felt like I truely owned at a game.

18  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Square Enix E3 lineup on: April 26, 2005, 07:09:34 AM
I am making snore noises.  I wish you guys could hear them.
19  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / LF: Sin (PC) on: April 25, 2005, 10:01:20 AM
I want Sin for the Pc.  I would like to get this as complete as possible, with box and all, if anyone has it in such a condition.

I am willing to trade ESPN NBA 2K5 (PS2) for it.  Complete, and barely played (I disliked the game).
20  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Jane Fonda's face is used as a spittoon on: April 25, 2005, 06:32:38 AM
You made the mistake of labeling everyone you disagreed with as christian, first off.  That is too "cross-fire"ish for me.  Your inquiry came across as loaded because of that.

Then you bring up Bush as if everyone here is a supporter.  It all adds up to you looking disingenuous.
21  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / What do you want to see in Weekly Deals? on: April 25, 2005, 06:25:59 AM
If they're great old school games, then tell us.  If it is a copy of Barbie: whatever for the PSX for $1 at Target.. meh..
22  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Jane Fonda's face is used as a spittoon on: April 25, 2005, 06:18:46 AM
Sorry unbreakable, but you aren't going to get much sympathy when you scream the cliched free speach line concerning a traitor.  And this woman is one.

You can call me a xtian right-winger or whatever you'd like, but I am an atheist member of the Green Party.  Is see no free speach squelched.  Instead, I see one of the worst pieces of the vietnam puzzle getting not even a pinch of what others got from her..
23  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Nomar!!! on: April 24, 2005, 08:51:43 AM
I thought I was in the minority when I though Nomar should have been moved a year before he was.  Now it seems like people dislike him, a lot.  Maybe a vocal minority.  I dunno.  I have no reason to hate him though.  He did well, and I liked him as a Sox.  I am glad they sent him to a decent team, and think it sucks that we are seeing his body breakdown on 'em.
24  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Nomar!!! on: April 24, 2005, 05:28:15 AM
And because the baseball sport's media has been saying steriods a lot, that's what everyone will now wonder.  The power of suggestion.

Not trying to say he did or didn't take or do anything, but now giving an odd look to the wrong person can have the entire village screaming witch.
25  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Nomar!!! on: April 23, 2005, 06:54:45 AM
Not trying to sound like an ass, but what the hell would Bob Ryan know about it?  This witch hunt is just plain dopey now.
26  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Ive been phish'd on: April 23, 2005, 04:52:42 AM
I used to report them, but it seems like the same ones keep emailing me, so I figured:

A) I reported them once.  Twice will not help much.
B) If they are still asking for my password long after I report them, it may be all in vain anyway.
27  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Ive been phish'd on: April 22, 2005, 05:28:12 PM
I get a few like this from "PayPal" and "eBay" every month.
28  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Guilty Pleasures on: April 22, 2005, 04:59:52 AM
I thought the new host of "cheat" on G4 was annoying until the Halo 2 episode.  CNN is the best "news" network, because they hire hot bitches.  If Cheerleading or female tennis is on, I am watching, at the least slywink.

I like music that is considered scary noise by most people.  Mindless Self Indulgence.  Behemoth.  Atari Teenage Riot.  Six Feet Under.  Gangster rap about gats and drinking vodka raw is how I do, as well.

I am very calm.  Unless I am in a mall.  The preppy nature of the mall turns me into captain boisterous.
29  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Just Finished: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within on: April 21, 2005, 02:36:58 AM
Hmm.. Maybe I should hope that they decide to not do a Beyond Good & Evil 2?
30  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Midnight Club 3 on: April 20, 2005, 05:17:21 PM
I sold Burnout 3 a week after buying it.  That series is no longer an option to me.
31  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Midnight Club 3 on: April 18, 2005, 04:59:13 PM
It did not.  I didn't have anything licensed (I wish it would have stayed that way, to be honest) to upgrade.  All made-up cars.  They were cool though, unlike SUVs.
32  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Midnight Club 3 on: April 16, 2005, 11:07:24 PM
I was excited about this until I saw everyone saying "mix of NFSU and Burnout 3".  I thought NFSU was sellout crap and Burnout 3 was fun for an hour.

If someone can say "Like Midnight Club II, but better", I will be happy.
33  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / overall reccomended PS2 games on: April 16, 2005, 08:13:55 PM
Beyond Good & Evil is my favorite game of this generation.  You can get it cheap as hell too, so everyone should give it a chance.

Midnight Club II is my second favorite.  With the sequal comming soon, that may change, but the price will likely drop that much as well.

Mercenaries is a must own.

Burnout and Burnout 2 were fun.  I dislike the third game a lot though.

Metal Gear Solid 2 isn't as good as the first, but it still is a solid game.

Freedom Fighters was a great game on the PC.  Not sure how well it plays with a controller though.  Same thing for Hitman 2.

I usually hate this kind of game, but Devil May Cry was a lot of fun.  Bosses rocked, unlike crappy Shinobi.
34  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Midnight Club 3 on: April 13, 2005, 03:00:28 PM
They make it sound easier.  Not to sound like a wuss, but one step down in dificulty would make me happy.

Edit: They = EGM
35  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Midnight Club 3 on: April 12, 2005, 08:41:28 AM
Midnight Club II is so damn frustrating, but I can't quit playing it.  It has replaced the Ridge Racer series as my favorite arcade-style racer.
36  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / eBay selling tips? on: April 09, 2005, 09:52:11 PM
I have read too many horror stories.  I can't allow myself to give more information to paypal than what they need to let me send money to people.  I really haven't had trouble selling PS2 games that way.  PS1 may not sell as well if you do not take PayPal though..

One thing I always do is make sure I use the option of allowing multiple items won by a person to be shipped together.  This is something I wish everyone would do, but most do not.

Edit:  Shipped together at a discount*
37  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / First Person Shooters - Inverted or "normal" on: April 09, 2005, 09:45:20 PM
I play first person shooters on normal.

Console games, I have to control the head with the stick.  So when I pull down, the head has to rise, like the stick is in the back of the head.
38  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Hitman: Contracts (PS2) -- Worth $20? on: April 09, 2005, 09:05:13 PM
Hitman 2 is one of the best action games I have ever played.  Don't let Contracts spoil that game for you.
39  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Hitman: Contracts (PS2) -- Worth $20? on: April 09, 2005, 10:48:32 AM
I can't speak for the full version, but the PC demo was damn boring.  It felt like a cash-in more than a serious game like the first two were.  Map design was terrible and plain.  Combat was arcaded up a lot.
40  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Xbox] Mercenaries - Problem with Sound - HELP! on: April 05, 2005, 05:11:48 AM
I had a simular problem with the PS2 version.  The opening cinematic would skip.  Mainly the voices.  It never happened during the game.  I did have a couple of times when two songs would play at the same time though.
