Here is a report I just read, said it was posted about an hour ago:
There have been a few reports earlier in the week stating the Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim suffers from texture streaming issues on the Xbox 360. Oddly enough, the original report stated that when Skyrim was installed on the 360 HDD textures would stream slower then if the game was being played off the disc. Bethesda has confirmed today, that is not the case. Earlier today, VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines Tweeted:
I don’t know what texture glitches you are talking about. Game runs same off disc vs. HDD. We don’t see any differences.
Hines then Tweeted that people should wait for legit copies of Skyrim to be released:
I. Don’t. Know. Maybe legit, maybe not. We haven’t seen it. We’ll see what folks say when legit copies are out in release.
So there you have it. The Xbox 360 version of Skyrim does not have texture streaming issues according to Hines. We’ll have our screenshot comparison of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim up for all to see later this evening so be sure to check back soon.

So has anyone heard of textures not loading correctly if you install the game to your HDD. Over on the Skyrim forums people are saying that if you install the game the textures stay low res. Ugh I hope this is not true. I hate listing to the airport while playing games of the disk

Hi all, anyone hear of this game? It came out this past Tuesday but cannot find any reviews or user impressions. Dunno if that is good or bad Just wondering if anyone here has tried it or heard any positives or negatives regarding this game? My son who is 7 really loves Little Big Planet and this looks like a clone of that game. Thanks

Not sure if someone has posted this or not, sorry lazy But is the installing to the Xbox HD to get the hi rez textures the same as installing any other game? Some one told me it is a bit different but they did not have the game and just wanted to make sure and get someone who has the games take on it. Thanks Just fire up the game without doing any installs. It will ask you right up front if you want the HD textures. Say yes. Ok cool, I will do that. Thank you

I never played the first RO... does this game tend to attract players more inclined toward voice chat and teamwork? In other shooters, teamwork is great to see when it happens but I can still do fairly well for myself solo if my team is full of lone guns or incompetent people. From what I'm reading about RO2 it sounds like I'm going to get picked off the instant I stick my nose out from behind cover unless I have teammates capable of coordinating covering fire.
Also, in the beta so far do there seem to be an even higher prevalence of snipers than usual, due people trying to mimic the Zaytsef/Konig history?
Eventually they player base will become more of a teamwork crowd. As in the first RO teamwork is essential to win. No Rambo's here, well you can but you will not last long. Right now in beta there are people complaining basically that they can't go all CoD in the game and people telling them to just leave the game because you can't. It is more of a run, get to cover, peek out and move to cover. If you run and gun you are done lol. Also, thank goodness this is the same as the first. But there are limits on how many classes can be on the field of battle. For instance, you may only have 1 or 2 MG's out at a time, usually only 1 - 3 snipers, 5 - 8 light SMG's, 1 field general and the rest are infantry with the stock rifle. So a little more real then everyone running with SMG or Heavy MG's or snipers. I like this about the game. Hope this helps a bit.

So anyone playing this anymore? I created a endless free trial account just to check it out since it has been sometime since I had last played. Playing on the Badlands server. Population seems ok, T1 RVR is bumpin but I think that is do to all of the trial accounts playing. Wondering how the higher tiers are doing with population numbers?

On the PVE Storm server is there any sort of PvP lite on there aka any sort of battle grounds etc...?
I'm afraid I don't know much about PvP, but I do know that when you reach a certain level (30?) your server is not technically a PvE anymore. You can choose PvE, but you also have to make sure in some settings that you are shown that you aren't interested in PvP (something to do with the color of your name). It freaked me out the first time I saw the warning that I "could be attacked by players" but it is to accommodate both modes on one server, as far as I can tell. There are places that are Arenas, and this might be what you are looking for, but I'm not sure if they are open at all levels on the PvE. They are certainly open at level 30, because I've seen - and avoided - them! Did that answer anything near your question, lmao? This is not my area of expertise, to put it quite mildly... Yes you answered my question thank you. I am no where near level 30 so I am safe for now. I may check out those Arenas you mentioned once I get to higher levels and get some better gear.

Homefront 2 Confirmed THQ confirms plans for Homefront 2 to Eurogamer, in spite of today's news of the closure of KAOS Studios, who developed the original Homefront, a first-person shooter which has sold at least one million units. Today's news includes word that THQ Montreal is assuming "product development and overall creative management for the Homefront franchise," so presumably they will be developing the sequel. Here's word from THQ's Danny Bilson: "Everything we learned from [the original] you'll see executed in other games going forward, and including that franchise going forward. We'll have some really interesting announcements in the future about the future of that brand. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-06-13-thq-confirms-homefront-2-plans

Ok I have a question, I have a
AMD Athlon II quad core 3.2 ATI Radeon 5770 1 gig 4 gigs of memory Windows 7 64bit
Do you think my rig will be able to run the game good? With ubersampling turned off.
I have a dual-core 3.2 GHz, an nVidia GT440 with 1 GB, 4 GB of RAM, and Windows 7 64 bit, and I the game runs fine (at least in the beginning) on High settings. Great, that is even better news, thanks for sharing
