961  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / exploring in WoW & EQ2 on: October 23, 2004, 11:02:19 PM
For those of you who have been playing these two games, yet another question...  I am a casual  mmorpg player who might be able to manage 5-10 hours a week, maybe more, maybe less.  I am really looking for a mmorpg that is fun to explore and check out new areas.  I don't play to rush through levels, although I know certain levels are needed to visit certain places.  But out of wow and eq2, which is better in terms of cool vistas and interesting scenery and places to visit?  I'd play both solo and in groups, but mainly to check out the lands, meet people, and kill cool things.  Thanks in advance.
962  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / JO or SW:B or ??? on: October 22, 2004, 11:00:11 PM
Yeah the original DOD was excellent.  I think I'll wait for that.  Good call.
963  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Halflife 1 help on: October 22, 2004, 12:27:37 AM
I'm sorry if this is considered inappropriate, but..

All this Halflife 2 talk has got me re-installing the original.  Thing is, I only have the CD, but did not save the case with the cd-key.  I can easily take a picture of my disk with any other proof that I DO own this game.  Is there a way someone can zap me over a cd-key for the game?  I DO own it, and can prove it in anyway that is necessary.  You can email me.  If this is viewed as piracy from CG, then forget I even asked this, but rest assured that I own this game - it's the original disk from the first day it was released!  Any help would be appreciated, and sorry if I am breaking any forum rules by requesting this.  Thanks.

Now that I finally got broadband, I'm looking to pick up a fun FPS online game.  Currently, what is a good game to get/play?

I'm thinking Joint Ops, Star Wars Battlegrounds, etc.  Any recommends on a fun game, preferably with a cool community?  Thanks in advance.

965  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Planetside...? on: October 21, 2004, 12:12:00 AM
Thanks for the heads up.  Maybe I'll wait on this one.
966  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Planetside...? on: October 20, 2004, 11:24:21 PM
I've always been interested in playing this game again (after a two week long bout when it was first released).  Now there is a $20 version out with two expansions.  I would like opinions on this game in it's current state, and if it's worth looking into.  Are enough people playing it each night to make it worthwhile?  And is anyone from CG or GG still playing?  I remember Redfive being a fan of the game, is that still so?

I finally got broadband, so I'm itching to get into some online games.  Planetside seems like my type of thing.
967  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Sacred PLUS: October 29th on: October 18, 2004, 11:00:08 PM
This is not meant as a dig, but what qualifies Sacred as "The most successful game of the year"?  Successful at what?  Where do companies come up with this?

I have never played Sacred, yet, so I don't know how good it is, so don't take my above question as a critisism of the game, but of the marketing.
968  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL1 in Source not all it's cracked up to be on: October 15, 2004, 10:28:44 PM
How spoiler-ific is the PC Gamer review?  I want to read it, but not at the expense of the story being ruined.
