I usually keep all my multiplayer titles like R6:V, Gears of War, Ghost Recon AW, but when COD4 comes out I may just trade in Ghost and Rainbox Six.

Halo 3 scenario:

During a free-for-all slayer match you see these gamers with their backs to you:

A. Pete (drunken style slayer-fu)
B. Harkonis (kills everything too fast)
C. Jarrodhk (the silent killer)
D. Moose (hopping up and down melee technique)
E. PapaSmurff (with a sniper rifle)

Who do you kill first?

I would have to say Pete, because.....well just because.  As soon as I do that I would immediately get shot at simultaneously by Hark and Jarrodhk, then head-shotted by Papasmurff, while dropping dead to the ground I get assassinated by Moose.  Totally worth it 

Created a summoner today and tried it out; talk about easy mode.  I have up to four fire elementals runnng around at one time now with the hive gun I picked up nothing lasts long.

yeah, tonight I tried a summoner as well.  I think I see some nerfs coming done the line....

I would think some more balancing is coming, as it is right now with my Engineer (LVL 11) I rarely have to participate in any of the battles 

Every friday night while I play Halo 3, my wife usually watches all her TIVO shows.  But now, she makes me turn on the voice chat to be heard on the speakers (instead of headset) and she laughs her head off
of all crazy insane chatter that people say while playing. 

She has her favorites like Pete cussing/drinking and Moose laughing (the evil one)

I hope our Friday Night Fights continues for the long run, probably the next game will be COD4.

A true classic.  The opening sequence and intro to the game got me hooked instantly.

Portal is fantastic, and i finally get to play the HL2!!! Tried 2 games of TF2 and it was fast, and looked great.  I need to RTFM or go online to get some tips for TF2 since there is no tutorial for classes, abilities, etc etc.... (if there is a tutorial, I'm just ignorant) 

Grabbing this tomorrow, but probably won't have time to play around until after 8pm cent.

Absolutely, lets give it a try.  It seems that most of the GamingTrend community is going to get the PC version, but I think we'll have at least a full team of GTers.

sorry I haven't been joining any of yalls games recently... I don't like playing Custom games, because I'm too much of an achievement and leveling/ranking up whore.  I just like to feel like I'm at least accomplishing and advancing something whenever I play any MP, but you don't get any EXP whatsoever in Custom games.  also, I really don't mind playing playing against and hearing random people out there, unlike a lot of you who complain so much about the 'crowd'...I'm super insensitive and either laugh at them or totally ignore them, I couldn't care less lol

if any of yall ever want to Party up and play in the official Matchmaking games, I'm always up for that

Earlier this week, Jarrodk, PapaSmurff, DamageInc  and I went on to the matchmaking team slayer mode (Great, great teamwork  ).  We had a good night, won a lot more matches than we lost, and I think I got promoted twice. 

but watching my wife bitch-slap USMC Kato at the gravity lift on Valhala and watching his corpse catapault across the screen like a rag doll while his laughter got quieter and quieter as his body soared away was just priceless.

Ha that was so priceless and great that I saved that film of your wife killing me while I flew away.

ok, really liking the game alot.   however, i'm at a point where i'm frustrated enough to quit

i'm in Chapter 2 at the Fort.   i'm running around the inside hitting switches and climbing latters and i have no freakin idea where to go or what to do next.   i've hit several switches and i've probably screwed something up.  i've been in there now for about an hour and i'm frustrated enough to quit the game all together. 

anyone tell me what i'm looking for to get out of this damn place?   i realize hitting the switches moves the platforms, but without an overhead map or anything, i can't tell a damn thing of what i have done.   someone fill me in before i ship it back to Gamfly.

Absolutely fantastic night of gaming.  Everyone pwning everyone (some more than others  ) all us gamers laughing and having a good time. 

 

I'll be deployed to the great beach with no water late December for about 6-9 months.  On the flipside, imagine how many great games will be out by the time I get back.

I'm up for some MP.  So when is GT/OO MP bash nite?

How about Friday night?  hepcat suggested an old-timers game over at OO for all of us with slowly degrading twitch skills, and since the GT Friday Night Gears of War sessions were an absolute blast I'd love to play MP Halo 3 with the GT/OO crew.  I hope to have my copy today (F-ing free shipping can go to hell), and I would love to play MP Friday night.

Just jumped in for a few minutes for Multiplayer with the fellow GT'ers and as usual, it was a blast.  Can't wait to play some more.

Game arrived friday for me. Freakin fantastic so far. I think my main party is going to be the bow chick(just got her, cant remember name), Polka and Retto. Been destroying so far. I'm going to guess that people outside your party do not gain any xp what so ever. Is this going to be a problem later on does anyone know? Or did RPG's finally do away that standard?

Actually the inactive party members do get experience, only just half so its not that bad.  Oh and the bow chick is named "Viola". She is really a badass and the farther away she shoots her targets, the more damaging it is.

Friday night Multiplayer 9/28? In my humble opinion the GamingTrend community is the best for MP and Co-op play. Everyone is really cool and just here for fun. 

Heck, I even enjoy it when I constantly get pwned by papasmurff, Harkonis, and PeteRock.

Got my pre-order and from what I can see, no difficulty option but the game comes with a dual language option (English or Japanese).  Oh well, it sure is pretty    Impressions a bit later, but so far so good.
