Valkyria Chronicles
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

I voted for both.  I was worried at first that my Fallout would kick my PC's ass.

You can test your PC here to see if it can run Fallout or other games:

Finished the game last night, completing 865 points in achievements.  Which means I almost saw and did everything I could.  Fable 2 for me is one of the few games that kept me playing non-stop, and is one of the best (single-player) games I have ever played  thumbsup

Sure there are a few little issues and the game is not perfect, but the experience was well worth my money.  Supposedly Fable 2 is having great success sales wise, so there is hope for another sequel.

Bring on Fallout 3!!!

Per Kato expressing interest in co-op Fable 2, Fable 2 and possibly Far Cry 2... lots of shooters at the moment... might be shooter'ed out unless of course there is good MP to be had.

My pre-order for Fable2 will be available at midnight where I live.  Going to skip FARCRY2 for now, like you said too many shooters atm.  From last week I gotta pick up dead space as well.

Some pics from the party:

PeteRock (Johnny Be Good Masta Playa)

Harkonis (Rock Band Maestro)

DamageINC (Loyal Raiders Fan and Snack Bringing Genius)

Zero (Doubling the Asian Population in Phoenix)

Knightshade Dragon (The Man, the Myth, the Legend)

I had a fantastic time  thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup  The PeteRock family are the most fabulous hosts.  Seeing everyone that could make it was great!

The only thing that could have made it better was if the 49ers had won the game..... disgust damn Eagles.  I had to endure that crazy-ass fight song sooo many times.   slywink

I'm keeping this kind of short for now, I'm still a little tired from that weekend.  But all in all it was great food, great company, a great time.

Now that's a cool idea!

Odds are we'll be playing Rock Band or any number of games throughout the night, but those attending the party "in spirit" are more than welcome to send a chat invite and once we finish our set or if we can pause our current game we'll try to get Kato on the line to chat throughout the party.  I've got a new wireless headset so communication should be a breeze.

You and I are in the same boat Jeff.    I'm a total noob, haven't read anything about the game other than knowing it was hyped and was getting good feedback, and am a veteran from WoW.     Many of the others have a significant head start on us.

If I can help you in any way (or help each other) my in-game name is Plainsrunner.

I didn't realize that racism = fabulousity...?

RickRock is confused...

It's not racism.  Or at least not intended to be.  Just an ongoing exchange of humor with Kato along with a bit of "sterotypes exist because they're true" thrown in.  No harm intended.  The last time we played online MP with Kato someone expressed concern over whether he would be able to play to his usual level with only one eye and his respone was to not worry because he sees in "widescreen" because of his eyes.  No comments are meant as malicious and no offense was intended.

It's so bright here during the day that everyone has to squint in the sunlight regardless of ethnic background.   icon_wink

On a side note, have you heard of Stuff White People Like?  Yet further proof that stereotypes exist because they are true in at least some way.

Yeah I'll be calling the Airlines tomorrow, people here at the base tell me I can get at least....maybe 10% off which is not bad at all.  I may not get it due to the fact that I'm actually all healed up and I'm not taking emergency leave (convalescent leave).

No, they won't change their minds and that's fine with me.  I've had some conversations with some other forum members here (via teamspeak, xbox live) about how many times I would've walked away to another job.  It may sound arrogant or maybe even egotistical but I can't bring myself to leave my unit or have someone else in charge looking after my knuckleheads.  I've been with them for so long and trained them so therefore I feel 100% responsible for them.

I don't do anything special, it doesn't take a genius to do what I do, and I don't make any real money doing it.  The only real thing I have a problem doing right now is getting orders to clear a neighborhood of enemies that maybe 50% of them are noncombatants.

Thanks for the update, I hope it all works out for you what ever you choose.

!!!!

Today I got the thumbs up for being in good enough shape to go home for a little while in October.  Hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg to get an affordable plane ticket home.
(If I had more time I would go space "A" on the flight, but I really have only a limited amount of time for leave)

Thats where the community has offered to help. We have been talking about how to handle the donations and we can't think of a better way to use it then to help pay your way home.

I really don't know what to say.....

I just feel so fortunate to be part of a community that would go above and beyond for someone like me.  Going home is going to be great, and while I'm back in California I will be getting lasik surgery for my eye as well.

My wife and parents will be glad to see my ugly mug before I deploy again.  I'm trying to nail down a flight date via Delta Air lines from Frankfurt to San Jose, CA (only 1 stopover in Salt Lake)
flying Oct 1st and leaving back to Germany on the 12th
