To be less succinct: Goofing around with friend's is fine. Heaven knows I've knifed Hark and Kato a time or two in hardcore matches.
Randomly griefing some people because it is 'fun' is less fine.
P.s. Don't mind me its that time of the semester.
Disregard everything Jarrodhk said, we would never intentionally kill each other when on the same team. *sets c4 behind Jarrod* Nope you're not a noob Teggy for liking the AK. In fact, I think ATB had/has a love affair with the damn thing and does quite well with it

Our little Teggy is all grown up Growing When I can get my k/d up to 1, then the apprentice must kill his master. That's what Star Wars taught me. Something like that. Either way, there's time, because I'm only at .6. Unfortunately, you need a higher k/d than your mentor, preferably higher by a 2:1 ratio to improve your chances of winning vs him/her Or you can kill him with "friendly fire" in a hardcore match....

People on my friend's list should play this game tonight. After 8pm central.
Especially people named Kato and Harkonis.
Sorry for the short playtime on my part. After the wife and I got back from blockbuster, we got caught up watching the new series of Doctor Who. Anyways, as usual it was great kicking ass with the usual gang.

Yeah... mostly what's been said already, and to second the fact that it doesn't matter what tactic or weapon you use, someone (or a lot of people) are going to yell at you for it.
Hang out and play it safe? Camper. Run around everywhere and get shot? Stupid, go hide in a corner (see also: camp). Use a shotgun? Noob weapon. Use an M-16? Noob weapon. Use the RPD? Noob weapon. Use the M-14? Noob camper. Snipe? Camper. Use a submachine gun? Spray and pray'er. (okay, reaching for that one) Throw grenades? Noob. Get locked into the spawn because everyone on your team gets killed the instant you spawn? Camper. And on and on.
Play with people from GT/OO/QT3/Friends/etc. Don't hesitate to mute idiots. Learn the maps... by playing. Expect that sometimes (a lot in the beginning) you are going to get slaughtered. Just pay attention to when/where/how, especially by watching the kill cams.
Yep teggy, just add us regular COD4 folk to your friends list and get started. Also for extra 1337ness you must have a clever clan tag name.......uh I guess when you level up enough to earn one

Dreamshadow- No problems man.
Wow.... hell of a comeback for our last match tonight. The other team started off playing very conservatively and cagey. We just couldn't seem to get any momentum together.
I think we were down over 20 kills at one point. We managed to come back and win with about 10 seconds left on the clock.
Great team effort!
Yeah, good night of gaming tonight....Props to Jarrodhk, Harkonis, BOB, Msduncan and the Rama Lama Ding Dong gang.

Pete- It is worth spending some time playing domination mode to see where the various capture points are. They make good references, especially on maps without easy landmarks. (I have very little idea of how to call out locations on Chinatown for instance)
Pipeline's buildings actually have big white numbers on them, look for that and it should help. The warehouses on... crap, can't think of the name of that map right now, also have numbers on them above the front entrances.
Other than that it is just too much time playing on the maps.
Oh, one other thing that took me a loooong time to notice, there is a compass over the mini-map, so you can use that to give directions as well.
Hey Pete is was great seeing you in action again!!! Playing with the usual crew is great, and it makes me that much better of a player in COD4.

I think COD4 has run it's course for me. New maps didn't really breathe new life as I hoped. Maybe they need to do new modes/weapon unlocks. But they can't just raise the level cap without affecting prestige so I don't know how they would go about it. Earning prestige levels does nothing for me anymore. I'm going back to playing Vegas 2.
I really enjoy both games, for entirely different reasons, but I understand being burned out by COD4. I will be playing both but I'll join you for some Vegas 2 when you're on!

I may or may not download the maps. Not sure how many forum folks will be actually playing COD4 again so I may get them under peer pressure.
Kato kato kato.... save yourself the stress and anxiety and just give in now. Well, not only can I NOT buy the points atm, COD4 will not allow me to update the game....I get that error notice on the blade.
