I went for producing two SCVs simultaneously instead of the "autonomous" (my description) gas geysers. But I still never, ever have enough minerals. icon_smile

I'm planning on going with the Auto Gas, which will free up more SCV's for minerals.
And yet I will have twice as many SCVs as you and Ron. So does it even up?  High five!

It's also not clear to me if say, one "auto-geyser" produces as much gas as 2-3 SCVs running back'n'forth to a non auto-geyser. I don't know the Production Numbers so to speak.

They should've created an arcade mini-game called "SCVcraft," where there's no killin', just repairin'...

hopefully it's comparable to having 3 SCV's on it, otherwise they'd be gimping the player.  considering you need 15 points to get it I can't see them doing that to a player at that point in the game.
Yeah, I'm very curious about the auto-geyser producing as much as 3 SCV's.  Wasn't there an upgrade that increases the collection of the geyser gas?

Where did you read this?  Like others have implied, a 260 is the same core technology as a 275 or 280 or 285, etc
Official Starcraft 2 forums (technical support) Blizzard started the thread and to post all your DxDiag info I you're having crashes with those cards

Nothing more humbling then watching your entire base get wiped out by invisible units without knowing a) that someone could create invisible units or b) how the hell I'm supposed to see these guys.

I have found the answers to both now. Lesson learned.

This is exactly what happened in my first game of Starcraft 1 MP.  It's also the reason it was my last game of Starcraft 1 MP.
I think there should be a turret that simply sprays colored paint all over a designated region. I assume invisible units aren't made of Teflon and still have mass that paint spray would show up, right?  icon_smile

Is anyone actually doing or interested in co-op? Everyone I message either ignores me (hey, nothing new  icon_smile) or is too enveloped in the SP campaign (which is understandable) to consider MP. It just seems that a friends list of dozens of people would have someone who wanted to do co-op eventually, right? Or am I naive?  icon_razz

So how do you do it?  I am getting owned myself.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Zero Hour mission (Hard Difficulty): Leo, I had a much easier time when I salvaged 2 bunkers near the bridges and retreated to the ramp near the command center.  I then built a bunch of bunkers and missle towers there, since it was much easier defending one spot instead of 2 bridges

Probably the worst was my wife's ectopic pregnancy. I was at a company gathering and she was on her way up to meet me for a dinner cruise they company was taking us out on. She calls me and can barely talk she is crying and in so much pain. I find out she pulled over in a parking lot. I didn't have my car, so I grabbed a guy I worked with and asked if he could drive me.

When I got to her she was curled up in a fetal position in the back seat in agony. I raced to the hospital with her, not knowing what the hell was happening. When we got inside they immediately took her back to do an ultrasound. That was when the doctor said some of the most heartbreaking words I've ever had to hear: "I don't see the baby." Here my wife is in agonizing pain, and they've just told her that her baby is gone too. It was the most helpless, painful thing I've ever had to sit through. I was trying to be strong for her but inside I was in utter despair.

They could see that she was losing an enormous amount of blood from internal hemorrhaging so they gave me the papers to sign to OK the surgery since she was in too much pain to even lift a pen. As I signed I honestly didn't know if it was the last time I was going to see her. Talk about terrified. I found out later that they removed almost 2 liters of blood from her abdomen.

Fortunately the doctors were able to save her fallopian tube, even though the fetus never had a chance. Things worked out OK in the end. A year and a half later my wife gave birth to our beautiful baby girl. But I still get emotional thinking about the what ifs. What if we had been out on the boat when it happened...what if I hadn't been able to get to her in time....etc. It was scary stuff.

How old ARE you?!

Assuming that he made it through basic and was posted there as a fresh-faced 18yo, he'd be 34 or older, same age group as myself and a lot of other forum members.  It's possible that he's older, but from the pics I've seen, I'd say if so, it's not by much.

From someone who never got to serve but wanted to (suck to my assmar!) and coming from a family with a lot of military service, you guys (and gals) that have served have my utmost respect.  I don't salute you, because, as a civilian, I'm not supposed to.  Tongue

Played a lot of leader and soldier, Kato rolled soldier form, Hark played mostly scientist and Jarrod mostly scientist. It was total decimation of the opposing team.

Had my best game so far in TDM as well, went 21 - 1 playing as a leader class. Warcry is just ridiculously strong.

Aside from the connection issues, I feel like the game is done amazingly. I really wish it got some more attention. We hovered around 7,000 people online last night, around 1,000 in TDM.
