Great job on the training Kato - Glad to see your eye-related disability doesn't impede your depth perception slywink

(there's a penis joke in there, I'm just not willing to touch it).

You've got a well-balanced cut to you, and your back is fantastic. I'd suggest when you're forced to retire from fighting that you go into body-building - mind you, your height might be a detractor (I'm 5'9" so it's not harsh judgment from the privileged)

Thanks Purge! I work hard and I'm glad it pays off, especially when people cant believe my real age when they see me.  I only have a limited time to do this, but so far not losing any speed due to my age.  Glad that strength is the last thing to go since that is what has been my advantage in all my fights so far.

So the date of your original fight has come and gone. For some reason I thought it was April 26th.

Did your original fight happen or because you took that impromptu fight, did you skip it?

When is your next fight either way.

Took the short notice fight with the intention of passing on the New York match.  At the end of the day, New York was going to be a difficult one to do logistically. Also, I would have been alone with no corner.

My next fight is only 5 weeks away and is a local one (finally).  So my family and friends will be there to video record me being victorious or failing miserably.  It is a kickboxing tournament in Mobile Alabama with kickboxing rules, so that means no elbows and knees frown

Watched episode 1 though 7 early this morning and so far loving it. The Netflix model works well for street level marvel heroes since the budget doesn't have to be on a blockbuster type level.  Can't wait for Iron Fist!

The black guy is my friend and training partner Matt, i was able to record him since he fought right after me.  I really need to bring someone to tape my fights next time.

Edit: sorry about the poor recording. I didn't have a seat and couldn't stand anywhere else frown

Break a leg!  His preferably. (Its just an expression, I'm told)

I actually tried to do that during the fight.  My opponent never bothered to check any of my kicks. After I landed the first leg kick hard, he looked at me in horror and I knew he didn't want to be there anymore.
4 hour drive, 66 seconds in the ring, 6 legs kicks for a TKO in the first.  Dude was out of shape and he looked scared.  Felt bad. I think his whole family came out to watch him fight. Drove home. High fived the wife and drank a little vodka leftover from Harkonis's last visit.

Congratulations, Kato!  So did he verbally quit?

Also, did you taunt his moms and pops after you leapt to the top of the cage?

Not verbally, he just sat down and raised one hand signaling to the ref he was done.

The family was in the second row and were booing me so I faced them, took out my mouthpiece and smiled smile

Luckily I ignored the voice in my head to take his soul

Lol, so I'm fighting this Saturday on less than two days notice.  4 guys from my gym were supposed to fight this weekend and 3 of them got injured this week.  Really bad luck for them, maybe they should stop sparring each other with chainsaws attached to their gloves slywink

Luckily I'm already at weight so this should work out.  I'm more worried about being an official corner man for my training partner.

Crash to desktop "once" in a while is no cause for concern. Only when a pattern emerges. Keep us updated on your new card performance and any problems smile

Try your other games Mirage and if you can, use some graphic card program to monitor the temp. RAM test as well maybe??

Poster is up, fight is a little over  a month away and I have no idea who I'm fighting yet. Smaller promotions are a bit bad about getting a confirmed opponent.  I'm fine with it, the only thing I'm concerned with is if I'm fighting a southpaw or an orthodox.

Quote from: Harkonis on February 21, 2015, 08:01:58 AM

I believe he's giving it his all for as long as he can, which is until a date he and the wife agreed upon since she's not too keen on the potential for injury.

Hark is correct, I have limited time before I call it quits. I'm undefeated so far in the amateur level but I'm not sure I can even get one pro fight at my age.  I already have to jump through a million hoops just to get cleared to fight by the commission, also because of my age.  However, with all that said I am going to go as hard and as far as I can for the next two years.  My next fight is late next month, and if I finish that one I will be closer to be getting considered for a low level pro fight.
