361  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 PATCH details. Patch due out tomorrow on: November 04, 2004, 02:54:01 PM
I would like to purchase this game and play it while waiting for WoW.  Can anyone confirm that the patch has fixed many of the retail problems?
362  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Semi-Official CG WoW Guild Poll-Please Vote!! on: November 04, 2004, 02:04:29 AM
Having a well organized fun guild would be the ultimate on a PVP server where all the action is.  I voted Horde PvP.
363  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Kerry concedes on: November 03, 2004, 08:44:09 PM
Quote from: "Greggy_D"
Yes....props to Kerry for accepting defeat as graciously as he did.  He probably would have done better if he focused on what his actual "plans" were.  He never did really tell us other than to say "I have a plan".

And, his supporters spent more time flaming Bush than campaigning for Kerry.  That strategy backfired.

Now instead of bashing, we need to come together as a Nation and support our President.  We can still voice our opinion in helping to guide his future decisions.  All is not lost.
364  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Kerry concedes on: November 03, 2004, 07:00:14 PM
Did Kerry say that he would pull out our soldiers and not do anymore attacks?  Just curious.
365  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / WOW stress 2 has begun on: November 02, 2004, 11:30:10 PM
Interloper, wait until you see the undead's Undercity.  That place is amazing in detail.  And don't forget to take the bat ride into the city too.  Just awesome.
366  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / FT: Rise of Nations + exp, BF:Vietnam, and others on: November 02, 2004, 02:57:31 PM

Neverwinter Nights (the original)
Viewtiful Joe (GC)

All in excellent condition, boxes, and all contents.

I would be interested, most definitely.  My character, undead rogue.

I like Night Watch as a name.

Okay, I'm getting this instead of X-Men Legends this weekend.
373  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [Music] 3 Inches Of Blood on: October 29, 2004, 04:31:36 PM
I bought the 3 Inches of Blood CD.  It is good.  Thanks for the recommendation.  I very much like the theme of each song, ancient medieval themes.  Many of the songs I wouldn't compare to old 80's metal.  Though there is one song that sounds like old Maiden and one song that reminds me of old 'kill em all' metallica.  The singer is the weak link of the band, but he could grow on me as I listen more.

The Lamb of God CD released recently is one of the best metal CDs I've heard in a long time.  Their previous releases don't hold a candle to their new one.  Night and day really.

The new Megadeth is good too.  Can't wait to see them in concert again.  Their last tour (a few years ago) was one of my favorite concerts ever, even though it was in a small club.  And I've been to well over 100 metal shows in the last 18 years.  Highly recommend checking them out live.
374  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Bards Tale Impressions on: October 28, 2004, 07:25:16 PM
I have great memories of playing Bard's Tale on the C64 back in the day.  Great times.  I just can't believe this remake was turned into a action/RPG.  Really really sad.
375  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [Music] 3 Inches Of Blood on: October 28, 2004, 03:34:02 PM
Hmmm... sounds good.  I will pick it up today, if my local music store has it.  Terrible band name in my opinion.    Just like 'Lamb of God'.  They are awesome and their latest CD rules all.  But the 'Lamb of God' name turns off a lot of people.

Thanks for the recommendation!
376  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [GC] X-Men Legends and other GameCube Questions on: October 27, 2004, 04:20:38 PM
I do not own a PS2 or Xbox.  My PC and gamecube keeps me happy.  Though it is tough to read all the threads about San Andreas and Halo 2 lately.  Patiently waiting for the PC versions to come out.

X-men Legends is one of the few cross platform games that has made it to the gamecube.  Has anyone played it on the gamecube yet?  I would only be playing single player.  I don't buy too many games.  I have limited gametime, so I'm very selective on my game purchases.  My last GC game I purchased was Tales of Symphony.  Top-notch 5 star game and one of my favorite RPGs ever!  But now I want to play a more action type game.  Would X-men fit the bill or should I wait for Goldeneye?

There are some damn good cube games coming out or have already come out.  Paper Mario and Pikmin 2 are on my must buy list.  Anyone play through Pikmin 2 yet?  There is Goldeneye and Metroid Prime 2 (I loved the first one) still to come out this year.  Residential Evil 4 looks great too.

What has happened to Animal Crossing 2?  I haven't heard anything recently.  Is it still coming out?
377  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / GTA: SA Impressions on: October 26, 2004, 03:41:35 AM
Quote from: "Kevin Grey"
I'm just saying that, graphically, it sucks really, really bad.

This is exactly why I'm waiting for the PC version.

PS2 owners:  Did you really expect this game to have great graphics with little or no loadtimes?  If you want better graphics (than Vice City), wait until the PC version comes out.
378  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / LCD Monitor Question... on: October 25, 2004, 08:48:49 PM
I have the same question about this 19inch dell monitor.

I'm considering this DELL deal (as described in the original post).  But I'm only going to use this rig for gaming.  I've never owned a LCD monitor.  Is the featured 'FREE' LCD monitor good enough for gameplay?
379  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / awesome deal on a Dell 8400 desktop [ends 10/25 11pm CST] on: October 25, 2004, 08:27:33 PM
I'm seriously considering this deal, but is the 19 inch LCD monitor good enough for quality gaming?  I would only use this rig for gaming.
380  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / World Of Warcraft to debut week after HL2? on: October 25, 2004, 06:26:19 PM
Looks like Blizzard is going to avoid the HL2 rush.  Hopefully I will get my copy before Thanksgiving day.
381  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / November 2004 - greatest game rush ... ever? on: October 22, 2004, 03:41:53 PM
Big day indeed.

As soon as the stores open I will be picking up:
Half-Life 2
World of Warcraft (my favorite of all the new games)

I'm going to wait for the PC versions of Halo 2 and GTA San Andreas next year.
382  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Choice got tougher - Bloodlines now shipping the 16th too on: October 21, 2004, 04:20:51 PM
Man, an incredible historic day if all those games are released.

If gaming stores were smart, they would open at midnight to help with the rush.
383  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Sacred PLUS: October 29th on: October 20, 2004, 02:02:34 PM
I'm about ready to dive into Diablo 2 again with a new character.  I really love the character building, treasure hunting, and boss fights.  Do you recommend that I pick up Sacred instead?  This game seems a lot like D2.

Plain and simple, is it worthy or should I stick with D2?
384  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Dell $750 off $1500+ laptop purchase on: October 20, 2004, 01:37:50 PM
My order is still good.  They say it will ship by the end of the month.
385  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Dell $750 off $1500+ laptop purchase on: October 19, 2004, 04:03:00 PM
Yeah, I just can't see myself playing top of the line games on a laptop.  I will probably play some old stuff on it though.

I just ordered a Inspiron 5160 with a P4 3.2 mobile chip, 512MB RAM, 64MB Geforce card, 60 GB harddrive, DVD/CD burner, burner software, internal wireless card, and wireless mouse for $906 total.  Cool.  My wife will be happy.

Thanks again, Charlatan
386  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Dell $750 off $1500+ laptop purchase on: October 19, 2004, 02:24:19 PM
Okay, this is awesome.  Perfect timing for me to see this post.  I'm about ready to order a Dell laptop for my wife.

Any recommendations?  Here are my/her requirements:
The keyboard can't be too cramped.
She will only be using this laptop for e-mail, our finances, internet, and  minor webmaster tasks.
Internal wireless card (we have a wireless network in the house)

Thanks for the heads up!

393  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / NFL Week 5 on: October 09, 2004, 01:30:41 AM
I predict the RAMS will win against Seatle.  The Rams are in desperate mode and that usually equals a win in the NFL.  I think the Chargers will upset the Jags too.

There are your tips for the weekend.
394  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Episode 3 Teaster Poster? on: October 09, 2004, 01:21:41 AM
Yes the movie will probably suck.  But I will be there on day one with hope that it kicks ass.  It just has to right?!... this is the last movie of the greatest film series in history!  Lucas can't disappoint us.

Finally, I found where most of us migrated.

I really hope GG isn't dead.  I already miss that place.  Almost like losing a good friend.
