Is it released or pre-loading? Mine still says 1 day 23 hours to unlock but I'm outside of the US.

I played a little bit last night when it unlocked. Tried MP but within minutes of connecting to a server, I got kicked out with the "Connection to server timed out" error. Not sure if that's my internet or game, it did happen a lot during beta though. So I tried the SP portion, graphics are pretty good even on my older radeon card.

I'm not sure I like the whole Battlelog thing since it's web based. I prefer the in-game server browser system like the previous BF games.

*Sigh* no McRib in my neck of the woods. They don't even use real bacon (pork) in Carl's Jr's Western Bacon burgers.

I've been trying to download BF3 since Saturday and it keeps crapping out on me and restarting the download. I think the most I got was 7-8gb and had to restart it all over again. I thought it was just my internet connection but I guess not.

I paused the download, quit origin and restarted it earlier today before I went to work, it kept the download and resumed it. Hopefully it'll finish without any problems.

I should go back to this game, sadly, the lack of servers with decent pings makes it tougher to play MP. That and the fact that I keep getting killed is annoying, lol.

I tried it last night for a few rounds and I found out that I completely suck at FPS now.

There are some glaring bugs, like the weirdly looking prone bug sometimes and I got stuck on the ground once while in prone. But overall, it's a fun game, that is if I can stay alive long enough to kill anyone and get my K/D ratio above 1, lol.

The tac light is VERY annoying, though useful for the person wielding it, I can't see them to target them.

Surprisingly, I found a pretty decent number of beta servers in Singapore, so I can have a decent ping (roughly 100, give or take), not ideal but beats 300 pings any day.

I think I'll be pre-ordering this one, maybe after the beta is over.

At first I thought this was a Thai movie but upon further reading, it turns out to be an Indonesian movie. This is the first Indonesian movie that I'm actually excited about seeing, considering the local movie scene is mostly crap this is a very nice change for once.

So it's worth getting then? Even with all the bugs so far?

I'm so interested in this game but I'm debating whether or not it'll be worth it for me since MP may not be as feasible with the pings and lack of local servers. Good thing it won't be unlocking til Sept 9 for my part of the world, so I have some time to wait for reviews before deciding if it's a buy or not.

Greenman code still works. I just picked it up for $34 (to the detriment of my wallet).

Does the regular version on Steam includes the beta access or is that only for the digital deluxe edition?

I'm still planning to pick this up but probably on the last day of the sale if the beta access isn't included with the regular version.

I usually stock up on EMP, gas and frag nades and mines prior to boss battles. I find those to be pretty effective for killing bosses.

I finished the game and I don't remember any of the bosses being immune to EMP and gas

I wish the grenades would stack up in the inventory though.

oh - Sorry to hear that - In europe the ping on Harks server is pretty damn good though, so you might be surprised

When I tried connecting to US servers for different games, my average ping is around 300-350. Not quite good enough for FPS.

I got a question for the pacifist achievement. Does turning turrets and bots to attack enemies counts as them being killed by "your hand"?

I noticed when I did that, even though I get them going hostile, I still got the "ghost" experience.

I want to get it but in my part of the world, the MP is hopeless with the pings I get and lack of local servers.

I may still get it though.

I finished it yesterday and I loved it.

I don't like the Ubisoft Uplay crap but the game runs pretty beautifully on my rig at 1920x1080. It probably could look better but the gameplay makes up for the lack of eye candy.

It just started playing here in Jakarta after the import ban of foreign movies and I watched it over the weekend.

I don't think it was too bad, the action scenes were a bit much at times but it was entertaining since I had no expectations going in.

Can't believe no one mentioned Alan Tudyk's Firefly reference!

I tried the steam demo last night and uninstalled the demo right afterwards. The game is way too arcadey for my taste. The graphic is nice but as for gameplay, I'd rather go back to Sid Meier's Pirates! remake.

Apparently the tegra 2 has some exclusive games.  Are any of them good/must haves?

Galaxy on Fire 2 THD is nice for Tegra2, it's free up to a certain point then you have to pay $15 to unlock the rest of the game.

about the only saving grace so far is that it doesn't have the additional line 'Ubisoft requires a permanent Internet connection to play this video game at all times' yet.

This may prevent me from buying it. Not because I'm boycotting Ubisoft due to their draconian DRM scheme but because in my neck of the woods, the internet is like the electricity, they go down and random times.

I'd really like friends that we could do things with - hit the movies, play some board games, have em over for Rock Band, burn some meat on the grill, go camping, etc. etc.   Yea, these people should 'get' me and we should be able to talk.    Best friends come from that same pool, after trust is built I think.

I find that when my close friends get married and have families of their own, the hang out time diminish significantly, especially after kids come into the picture. Not saying it's not possible anymore but it is tougher to arrange.

It's been good for me.

- Started going back to the gym on a regular basis
- Happy with my current job
- Good health for me and my parents

The first half is going swimmingly well and hoping it'll continue this way for the next foreseeable future.

I'm one of those people with very few friends but the few I call my friends are pretty darn close, the rest are just acquaintances. I tend to keep my co-workers as work friends only and hardly ever hang out with them outside of work, and most of the friends I hang with are friends from high school and new friends that know my friends, and a few from the forums that I've met.

So tempted at Homefront for half price.

Download a Linux LiveCD and use their partition tool (GParted).

Be careful when you resize a live drive though, you may end up making the data gone. Make sure you have sufficient backup of everything important.
